Apparently the MXGPs starts are all the same length and turn the same direction. They took any advantage the US had on home soil away from the Americans and Turned Redbud into a MXGP race track. The day before in qualifying i think AP son, Barcia got second to Coldenhoff but Eli blew up his bike while running well, so US qualified 8th which i beleive they had a poor gate pick all weekend. Then on Sunday we lost bigtime and Tomac in last moto knew it was a lost cause and settled for like 7 th or 8th place after Barcia and struggled AP. From someone who got burnt out racing bmx nationals and traveling/training almost every weekend for 4 years, it definitely makes you hate the sport you’re competing in.
Boo hoo. He only got a month off. The level of entitlement here is off the charts. Lol. I like Reed. I know him. But i think he’s way out of touch. Like every pro athlete that’s never worked a real job like a “normal person”. That’s not to say that pro athletes dont know work or sacrifice. But if they worked a real job - they’d know how ridiculous they sound in moments like this.
Man I did not know that Chad Reed was so full of excuses it’s hard to listen too, what about when Herlings went to America being the only European guy there he literally whipped everyone’s ass like he wasn’t even trying. I find it so pathetic to try to find excuses like that, think about not that long ago when the Americans were always winning in the MX of nation’s, it didn’t matter what track they were on even on a sand track they would win so the only thing that changed now is the European guys are a lot faster, stop looking for excuses and except it!
Exactly. I like how they say that Eli didn't care about beating Herlings because he just wanted a title. There is the different between Carmichael and these current guys. He'd have given it 100% to beat him no matter what. ( and he would have done it, because he was RC on an outdoor track).
Yeah Chad, what a bummer to be one of the most talented riders in the world and having fans wanting to see you race. You poor guys are so abused. In the meantime, the rest of us will keep working every day so we can try to afford a ticket next time a race is nearby.
Im confused? Are you a motocross-rider or not a motcross-rider? I hear excuses excuses excuses.. don’t you have to be able to ride on any track, circumstances etc? Its called the mxon, the best come together, if you’re not ready for it, don’t come, motocross doesn’t only revolves around America😂
The rest of us don't get a month off, the rest of us are lucky to get 1 week off. That's why the fans don't care. We bust our butts, not riding bikes for a living, just to make ends meet. So when a rider, even if they're only making 50k a year complains about not being about to take some time off to be a "normal person" really irks me. There is no normal. These guys make hundreds of thousands of dollars. Suck it up.
I agree the GP bikes are like a seven speed that really run a road race speed where america are track are rougher on average an more stop an jump..i think 4 strokes have changed that but in the Gp they run more top end speed than what are used to....mite be as much 10 mph more an to adjust to thst in a 3 week time frame is crazy...but life right
American tracks are nowhere near as rough, that's why the european style is to carry momentum, have you seen lommel? Reed even said it himself, american tracks get really rutty, euro tracks get bumpy as hell + ruts. Ama always over water and over harrow the tracks so you get these straight line ruts with a smooth base, watch some MXGP and you will see the difference.
No one was touching Coldenhoff at Red Bud in 2018. Dude was on it. Chad must be the whiniest Aussie on the planet. He's always got the full pity party going. He's gone full American I guess.
Chad you guys are babies you race 1 time a week and there are several breaks during the year plus your racing its not like grinding in a factory doing parts every 22 second 10 hours a day 5-6 days a week or a production machinist turning 300 parts an hour in a factory thats 115 degrees you spoiled "athletes ": give me a break go work in a factory for 10 hours a day for people with ink you sure have thin skins and MASSIVE EGOS and PRIDE
Reed don’t know shit,,,we get ready every year an race,,and been winning over there just fine,,just because yr not ready doesn’t mean they aren’t…Ready.. those guys ride those nasty tracks 24/7 that’s why they do so good on those tracks,,it’s way Hard to best them there,,so we’re not gonna win all the time,,,but we still do Good,,,

We all know how kawasaki makes it difficult for their riders to race mxon, but Tomac has raced everytime he's had the chance, so has Barcia, Plessinger, Webb... like I said earlier, a lot of people tend to day that they don't care about mxon if they are not winning and forget truly incredible rides.
Chad is a woke millennial liberal so no suprise. He just keeps hush hush about it cause its a feminine thing that doesnt mix with being a man
It also maid their own US championships more legitimate. When RC killed Everts in 2003 at the MXoN at his home track it solidified his legacy as the GOAT.
I've never been a Reed fan because of all the BS he did to Stewart but I'm warming up to him lately especially after Brian Deegan showed us all what a POS he is.
?
What did deegan do? Honestly asking because I don’t know and am curiou
You guys didn't watch Loretta Lynn's this year? Or see his posts about him saying f*** everyone. That dude is fake af
@@ricksmith7659 oh really? No no I didn’t. My RUclips recommendations are flooded with his family and his son and I just ignore them because I’ve never been a fan, so I tend to not know much about and “Deegans” news because it doesn’t interest me. I come from the older era/freestyle Moto era of him always being the “mulisha” bad guy and quite honestly he’s just always been a tool to me. And now I honestly feel like his whole family is wildly over hyped and over rated so I just don’t care to follow their news.
If they're asked to do MXoN, they can say no Chad. It's not unfair to ask someone to represent their country. Idk why I'm responding to a 4 year old clip...🤷
I don't like that title. I get why it was chosen and why it was chosen now. But I saw the full interview. He is really pissed about not beeing able to participate back then, and rightfully so. But if australians read that title that could lwave a sour taste. And Reeds legacy is to big for that
Hey Gypsy tell chad to get a good photographer for his u tube channel an good camera an it will really make a big difference i know he got racing coming but real killer photography will really elevate his show...my dad his a pro camera dude...hes one of the best in the usa...thats why i notice i been around a master camera man my whole life...he teaches it at thr local college to beside being flown all over the usa to teach 2 day schools once a year...at the pro american convention
I googled Pro American Convention. Not surprisingly, nothing came up.
Why doesn’t the AMA change up the track styles throughout the season? Throw in a legit euro style track? Or create a new style of track that they race mid season to change up testing strategies etc. two races at Pala? No thank you. I can barely stand one race at that boring track
Good idea.
Dude. This audio is unbearable -especially listening in my truck. Sounds like my speakers are gonna blow out!
For real hahahaha
Representing your country in the MX Olympics is the ultimate honor.
They should recognize this by awarding AMA points for the de Nations finishing positions.
Then those who sacrificed and risked injury to defend our moto honor get to start the season with those points.
Who wants to go represent now... everyone.
Funny this year America won Australia 2nd, Jett dominated on first 450 race. I think there'll be alot more retirements if Jett wins 23 mx season rookie year. Come on Aussie Come on. Chad you a still my favourite of all time and have same 1st name as one of my brothers. Avagud1 mate
Yk europeans also only have a month of before nations after mxgp season
I concurr they are more top end oriented i had bikes since 1978 an had ridden many brands an i road race supersport..superbike...si i notice powerband an when they show clips of des nation races i always look at hey bails banners an such to guage speed...an closing momentum into turns an then i tryed to remember ama motocross the base to compare...funny part is when i went racing MX i was using this experienced pros race line an it was that road race line outside to inside to back out an i was aggravating the shit out of one of good friends because he was riding those american lines an our lines would cross an id come charging at him because hed be right in the way when i was picking up steam so he have to back out of it an he got so frustrated...later i told him i was using this guy Mark C...his pro line..an not trying to f with him...that pro was track champian an one of our really awsum home track riders u could see the track marks where the pros were cutting their line..the trouble was its a little slower to go faster...carrying plus it was less energy fighting the bike up the inside...the way my friend was riding....part of his gripe was i was a novice an he was next class up amatuer so he was mad he could get around me....hes was a good friend but one who gets nervous when they go to tje start line...me i get calmer..hah hah serious....thats why i get holeshots always everyone else on the start line is hyper ventilating...im telling jokes meditating i dont pack theground leaving the start line i didnt come to do landscaping i came to ride...then i holeshot them an i think that made them uneasy...ride 70 hours s week like i did an you be better....thats all...i think the europeans should not be allowed to ride with 7 gears an we only get 6....jk
You should cut back on that 70 hours a week you claim to ride and try an English class.
So did anyone else pick up this 2 weeks if a month comment like seriously? You left come back with a Yankee accent and what forget how Australian time works dude
There's no asterix ya weirdos. He still beat the pants off every other AMA rider at ironman. What championship were they all protecting?
You moto pros would get a better deal being a middle school gym teacher.
Pro riders cry about 100-200 negative comments. While a MLB/NFL/NBA athletes receive thousandssss comments of hate.
While pro riders complain about the pay 😂
Let me ask a question. Wasn’t for this that you work your hole life? I mean wasn’t your’s dream as a kid?? There’s a cost in it
Reed speed 👍
Ya slow speed
3rd place speed
@@ricksmith7659 😂 he won’t be getting 3rd that’s for sure.
@@mxr248 I was referring to his glory days behind Ricky and Bubba. Lol
@@ricksmith7659 true.. he always raced Ricky clean but never Bubba!
Forgetting the kiwi Riders there Reed..
I feel bad for these guys who get to race dirt bikes for a living making thousands having to go to race some more. I'm so glad I'm a carpenter and have to wake at 4am daily to be out of the house for 14 hours a day 51 weeks a year having fun cutting lumber and installing sheetrock. Life must suck for pro racers
From someone who got burnt out racing bmx nationals and traveling/training almost every weekend for 4 years, it definitely makes you hate the sport you’re competing in.
this is reminiscent to ,,Casey Stoner with moto gp dumbing down the bikes and to much outside interference, in season,,,hmm do a interview with Casey
All of the guys he's critical about are more successful 😮
I was ready to bash Chad until I listened to what he had to say.
who cares? As much as i loved Chad, he's not the fastest mxer out of Aus anymore...
Nobody made anybody race for a living
DONT ANSWER THE SCAM!!!
Reed gave a great interview when he wasn't being interrupted 🤷🏻♂️
Yeah Chad, what a bummer to be one of the most talented riders in the world and having fans wanting to see you race. You poor guys are so abused. In the meantime, the rest of us will keep working every day so we can try to afford a ticket next time a race is nearby.
If you don't wanna race MXON someone else will gladly not a big issue...
Suck it up.
I like reed but he just saying things
Thank God Eli didn't take Chad's advice...
1st world problems
No one was touching Coldenhoff at Red Bud in 2018. Dude was on it. Chad must be the whiniest Aussie on the planet. He's always got the full pity party going. He's gone full American I guess.
Chad you guys are babies you race 1 time a week and there are several breaks during the year plus your racing its not like grinding in a factory doing parts every 22 second 10 hours a day 5-6 days a week or a production machinist turning 300 parts an hour in a factory thats 115 degrees
you spoiled "athletes ": give me a break
go work in a factory for 10 hours a day for people with ink you sure have thin skins and MASSIVE EGOS and PRIDE
They choose that lifestyle stop complaining
does he want to make any more excuses ????
Big ass egos
Full of ....
Lol…..stop whining.
Just retire, Chad.
Whatever! Never liked neither aussies nor euros. Go US of A! ✌🏻🇺🇸
Reed don’t know shit,,,we get ready every year an race,,and been winning over there just fine,,just because yr not ready doesn’t mean they aren’t…Ready.. those guys ride those nasty tracks 24/7 that’s why they do so good on those tracks,,it’s way Hard to best them there,,so we’re not gonna win all the time,,,but we still do Good,,,
Lol i dont get a month off?
Lol its your job
