@@pwnnr13there’s pros and cons to that though. Yes it’s awesome and pushes development, but then you get a team(s) that just dominate while others are struggling to catch up like in f1. Can make the racing potentially more boring.
I am gonna be the one to say it. Let them do whatever they want but also open up the two strokes. A 450 twostroke is cheaper than a 450 four stroke, by a lot and it is absolutely up to play in terms of performance. That way the privateers get to have it easier and the pros can go crazy.
2 strokes will never be competitive with 450s, especially factory and definitely if there were no production rules. 2 strokes rule hard Enduro, but that's about it.

I actually get a little of the whole slower guys safety stuff, but if there not whiling to have a non-top guys race then no. I do think there should always be some way for a privateer to make it in, Even it looks a little different then fine.
Makes me think how many great seasons have we lost due to teams having to learn a new bike that's forced on them? Last year with Sexton, seemingly this year with Jett? Talking about Privateers, how much of a difference would it really make in the 450 class? we aren't seeing Privateers, unless you count Kenny, consistently finishing in the top 5, they are already so far behind a trick frame isn't going to make a difference. Sexton last year may be a bad example being new to the team, but the bike was new to them as well
For safety reasons, the tough blocks should have water bags in the bottom of them. And not covered with the plastic bag. They should be a foam that just disintegrates when you hit it and comes apart
The idea of in-ear comms in theory sounds good. Depending on the rider, auditory may be upsetting or distracting when concentrating in techy sections. I wonder if doing lighting on the front fender or bar pad would be a better option. We already have leader lights and GET products from commercial and personal technology
The way things are each year the manufacture tries to get the most competitive bike and developed for top racing and we the public have that advantage.
Eli strikes me as someone who grew up rich, was homeschooled and got very little exposure to the outside world aside from when he was going to races. This comment has nothing to do with the fact he worked his ass off to get to where he is. He just always seems socially detached from his surroundings.
Maybe bring back hay bales to replace tuff blocks. Gotta be a little bit softer landing More whoop sections but not as tall would be better Also more sand or mud sections instead of just 1
Moto GP is Prototype racing for a reason . They push the boundaries of what possible for the vehicles and riders. The point is to test crazy tech and then have it trickle down to other bikes later. 250 should be production but 450 should be the equivalent to Moto GP prototypes
How about letting each guy qualify without any other riders around them . Give each guy a couple minutes with a clear track because other riders get in the way and screw up times.

Smaller teams and privateers would literally be run out of the sport if the factory teams had that kind of money. You love the sport bud why would you want to push the little guy out.
I don't think in-ear communication solves the flag issue. A rider can easily say "I didn't hear it. It malfunctioned". Or "I didn't hear it, Barcia was next to me" 😁
I think a big issue with our series is the financial gap between the factory teams and the privateer teams. If there was a budget for our sport it would help the privateer teams stay competitive with the factory teams from a bike and rider perspective. I also wish teams got paid out at the end of the year for their performance. Like a separate team championship from the rider championship. That way the privateer teams feel they are competing for something and can invest more into their bikes and their riders with the money they win racing. I feel this is a good place to start to keep privateers in the sport. Get these guys on smaller teams making money and out of their own vans trying to make it work on their own.
Nah, I agree. It doesn't really do us any good when they have a "production" bike, and then drop $250k worth of trick parts onto the platform. The MXGPs aren't any less popular or fun to watch because they are free-reign. Let the platforms be made for each rider. Do a cap on the costs, and go fuckin' wild. We want to see the athletes, not the bikes, and the bikes should put them in the best position possible. Also...the Forkner comment was out of pocket lmao
If were saying anything goes then let the limiting factor be CC's alone! A privateer operation can absolutely build a 450 cc 2 stroke bike and be competitive with a talented rider.
That kinda sucks for the consumer not to mention how insane the spending would go its basically the last affordable motorsport out there and you wanna drop the privateers? Geezuse goodbye motocross
If they keep privateers in 450s, make it that the top 15 guys don't have to participate in every session. Remove a practice other two. Both free and timed. Let the privateers do an lcq for the last five spots. Definitely get rid of production rule for 450, maybe tighten it up a little for 250s.
The reason that AMA is better than the European championship is the Priveteers... Watch guys like Masterpool, Phil Nicoleti getting top 10 scores is amazing. Plus, I don't believe so much on the works bikes. American riders won the mxon more than any other country with stock frames.
Yea make supercross like Nascar to where it is no longer obtainable to anyone but rich kids. Look at how they are doing these days w those cars are zero production.
I also think that being more free when it comes to bikes could actually move the sport forward technologically a bit more. Bikes have been the same for 20 years. If you put a fast dude on a 2002 works bike he'll ride up front today as well. He might not win... but well I guess look at Kenny. But there are so things that could be tried again, twin cylinders for more horsepower, automated gearboxes... etc etc
Al that would be left would be like five teams that can win and no more new bike development for for amateur racing. It would be like moto gp to boring to watch.
I’d like to see lappers flagged off when they’re 40 or 50 seconds back. Why endanger guys that are battling for a championship and contracts-bar to bar and closing in on a lapper over a triple. It’s dangerous and messes up plenty of top guys in lots of races.

I actually get a little of the whole slower guys safety stuff, but if there not whiling to have a non-top guys race then no. I do think there should always be some way for a privateer to make it in, Even it looks a little different then fine.
It was awesome to hear from Tomac. Hopefully next time we can hear more from the man bun host as he was so quiet and Tomac wouldn’t let him talk lol😂
Herlings had no issues when he came over to race iron man on a borrowed bike...
Eli looks kinda baked
The mic idea would be interesting and the audio for notifications for track conditions like yellow and red cross flags.
Sexton last year may be a bad example being new to the team, but the bike was new to them as well
they tried the mic up thing in at least one older race, dont remember which race and it was cool
For safety reasons, the tough blocks should have water bags in the bottom of them. And not covered with the plastic bag. They should be a foam that just disintegrates when you hit it and comes apart
9 whoops helps nobody but Cooper Webb.
The idea of in-ear comms in theory sounds good. Depending on the rider, auditory may be upsetting or distracting when concentrating in techy sections. I wonder if doing lighting on the front fender or bar pad would be a better option. We already have leader lights and GET products from commercial and personal technology
What about F1? Guys traveling at over 200mph on street circuits. Every rider who's ever used coms will tell you it's not a big deal if done right.
glad to hear this. let's see radical designs again.
I'm sure the manufacturers would love that...
The way things are each year the manufacture tries to get the most competitive bike and developed for top racing and we the public have that advantage.
Please put your old intro back....
Yes please
Eli strikes me as someone who grew up rich, was homeschooled and got very little exposure to the outside world aside from when he was going to races. This comment has nothing to do with the fact he worked his ass off to get to where he is. He just always seems socially detached from his surroundings.
Maybe bring back hay bales to replace tuff blocks. Gotta be a little bit softer landing
More whoop sections but not as tall would be better
Also more sand or mud sections instead of just 1
Nice job calling Eli a freak to his face around 2:00
Moto GP is Prototype racing for a reason . They push the boundaries of what possible for the vehicles and riders. The point is to test crazy tech and then have it trickle down to other bikes later. 250 should be production but 450 should be the equivalent to Moto GP prototypes
Ditch a practice and add a Superpole for the top 5 or 10 that pays bonus points and could be a Superpole championship on its own.
They have a hard time getting the setup working on the stock bike. Making more options for setup will just make it harder
Bro!! Let your guests talk! Especially someone like Eli.
He likes hearing his annoying ass Aussie accent
Great ideas!!!!! 450 werks bike make sense! Make it like F1 but have a spending cap!
How about letting each guy qualify without any other riders around them . Give each guy a couple minutes with a clear track because other riders get in the way and screw up times.
Superpole?
@@Upthebroncos310 would be cool to have a 2.5 lap superpole only on race day... Maybe 3.5 and average two best laps. but yeah, agree, superpole would be best. how we do it now is just odd af really
Almost like MotoGP, where prototype bikes are what is raced.
Agree, rider mechanic communication would help riders!!?
If it would be the same result if they were on the same bike I dont want to hear them blaming the bike for struggling
What if the tough blocks were simply printed card board like a helmet box. No cushion, but unlikely to get sucked up into a wheel like the covers
Smaller teams and privateers would literally be run out of the sport if the factory teams had that kind of money. You love the sport bud why would you want to push the little guy out.
Wrong. For pros, we should have a 125 two-stroke class and an Open class. That's it.
Reduce the 450s to 350s, but make them full prototypes like MotoGP.
300 and 200.look how small the F1 car engines have gotten.
I don't think in-ear communication solves the flag issue. A rider can easily say "I didn't hear it. It malfunctioned". Or "I didn't hear it, Barcia was next to me" 😁
Deegan is gonna show everyone next week the rest are all racing to be second
One fuel for everyone option of three different rear tires for the weekend by one tire manufacturer
No triple headers maybe more double headers of 15 minutes duration
What about start devices? Start grate?
3 Classes?
250, 450 and Open/Modified?
SX mic’s up but they just call eachother slurs
Thanks for the content, only one suggestion give guys like eli time to think and answer. He is a cerebral guy need to gove him space.
So, if it doesn't matter then just race stock bikes...if it doesn't matter...
Two practices ...qualifying should be five minutes 3 sessions
How about we race bikes straight off the showroom?
You obviously don’t know where the money comes from
I also think that being more free when it comes to bikes could actually move the sport forward technologically a bit more. Bikes have been the same for 20 years. If you put a fast dude on a 2002 works bike he'll ride up front today as well. He might not win... but well I guess look at Kenny.
But there are so things that could be tried again, twin cylinders for more horsepower, automated gearboxes... etc etc
They did that, it didn't work out.
Al that would be left would be like five teams that can win and no more new bike development for for amateur racing. It would be like moto gp to boring to watch.
Motogp is anything but boring
Dude let Eli talk, you talk to much
Bring back the open class
Should be open in the 450s. Should be like F1.
I’d like to see lappers flagged off when they’re 40 or 50 seconds back. Why endanger guys that are battling for a championship and contracts-bar to bar and closing in on a lapper over a triple. It’s dangerous and messes up plenty of top guys in lots of races.
It should be like Formula 1.
There should be rules to go by, but not that many and they should be able to Bend the rules.
Everyone should run the exact same fuel and the option Tires chosen for that weekend
Dude let Eli talk
