Imo, get the kids training a few days a week on BMX Supercross or a pump track... I also recommend swimming weekly maybe 500-1000 yards twice a week... And Coach Robb Beams would be my choice over Baker Factory. Get the kids a mental coach and a riding coach they like to work with... And keep their mental training going daily... Strong spirituality and family bonding are the most important two pieces of the daily life puzzle for most kids I've seen make it to the top in motocross and other sports. 🥕🏁🕳🐇🏳
There's no way Star is making money, if they do it's from tax write-offs spending spending spending. No team has ever had more than what, five maybe 6 riders on it? Just imagine the cost to pay 11 riders and mechanics salary, plus administration, trainers, facilities, track maintenance, airfare, semi truck, maintenance and factory suspension on at least 22 motorcycles, not to mention their insane insurance policies. All that to have two guys actually carry the team and you know who they are. It's like trying to win the lottery by buying all the available tickets. You'll win, but you'll spend more than you'll make. It seems to me like Star is playing around with borrowed money and isn't intending on paying it back. They'll probably be bankrupt in a couple more years. Just my opinion
I believe it was Kitchen who implied that the Star 250 riders aren't getting paid a salary. That helps the budget a lot and makes sense why they can have all those guys. They only have one trainer, as well. They are probably getting a lot of money from Yamaha, Yamaha actually gave them the 450 team to run and is probably paying them for it.
Behind the curtain racing isn't about profit. It's RnD and Marketing and somewhere for manufacturers and brands/sponsors to throw away excess money. If manufacturers and brands didn't "race" they would be throwing away a similar amount in taxes with zero return.

Shot gun method is great for giving riders opportunities. More riders on great bikes is good for racing. Deegan will lift their speed every team needs the rabbit at the practice track to raise the bar. Imagine how many talented riders would not be racing if it wasn’t for star. The old guys aren’t going anywhere to free up 450 rides we need a vet class lol

I've said it for YEARS... He had all those up coming prospects.on the"Orange brigade" and lost them ALL!! Not because of money but because of his program and seems to be more because of his attitude.. that's why he is no longer relevant in the sport..
He didn't loss them, KTM lost them. Their 250 bikes consistently have been outgunned by yamaha honda and kawasaki in the pros. As amatuers running more stock bikes, ktm works great. But the amatuers look at the 250 pros and they see ktm getting beat , most of the time, so they jump ship
