HeySong sarsaparilla is the best of all sarsaparilla there is. But it tastes much better out of fridge and from the can directly not from bottle or glass. You need the fizzy gas with it. That could only get out of the can directly. It gives you that refreshing sensation. Generally countries that dont usually drink sarsaparilla find it not their liking. Americans love them as much as in Taiwan. A few years back one of old posters for long distance train services from the 1960's showed a picture of sarsaparilla poured into a bowl of ice cream. So likely it was once popular in some way in Australia too. The supermarket here no longer sell home grown sarsaparilla drink (brand name Kirsk) in large number or regularly so it runs out quickly especially when on discount. It tastes surprisingly nice even out of bottle and after a day in the fridge after first opened. It is very good and I buy them when I couldn't get hold of HeySong cans. HeySong sarsaparilla costs almost $10 for a six pack and pretty steep as low supply here. Some outlets charge over $12 which is a rip off. Schweppes brand one isn't good but it's the only brand regularly sold at supermarket here these days. The Singaporean brand sold in Asian outlets isn't good either.
It sounds like an ice cream float or “spider”. Is that what it’s called??! But the other way around. Haha It’s interesting that there is enough demand for HeySong for them to increase the price and sell other brands etc. but not import more. 🤨
Your British family do like Taiwanese style apple soda, Miss Lucy. Also, I realized that the winter melon tea is actually sweet, not plain, after drank one last year.
They seem to prefer sweeter drinks, especially sparkling ones. I can also understand why Sarsaparilla is not liked, although I drink it a lot myself in the summer time. It can help cool off.
@Mama Lucy 英國媽媽在台灣 Heyson Saesparilla is just Taiwanese Root Beer, it is root beer it taste like root beer, is that a psycology thing that the exotic name (well to you guys lol) caused them not realzing that its just root beer lol

@@MamaLucy yes, it's spider from memory..
I think pricing is due to import volume for HeySong

@@MamaLucy Honestly, it tasted surprisingly good. My father and I did not expected that.

Yes. I think we are used to sweeter drinks. We rarely drink water without “squash” in the UK.
