Thanks for sharing. Worked several years on CF18s. Brings back lots of memories. For those interested in some of what you're seeing. APU starts up. It's that high hissing sound. Generates air to start the engines, one by one, which is that wind up noise you hear. APU is a small engine near the back, underneath, with its own exhaust. Surfaces moving in a coordinated matter is an automated flight control test done by the flight control computers. Notice the speedbrake and hook test as well. That's done by the pilot. Finally, groundcrew in back are looking for fire, oil leaks, hydraulic leaks, etc. One thing you don't see are the hand signals with the person upfront and the pilot. Hope this explains a few things.
