Thanks guys, I don't have to many videos for now, I only record major steps forward and these don't come easy, I think the season is now finished, I will be trying to install and align the engine in the boat before april, I will upload something once it's done. CEL Motors- I'm not sure if I can publisize the heat exchanger here I could direct you on PM I suppose.
    Cheers

Great video I've just purchased a bayliner 2556 and I'm looking to put 1 of these engines in it. Could you help me out with a list of things I need to marinize the engine or point me in the right direction. Any info would be a great help. Thanks scott

Hi Scott, sorry for late reply. I can only give you a list of parts here if you want some directions as to where to get them you need to PM me.
you need to change the cooling system to double circulation system. that means that coolant circulating inside the engine block goes out into a heat exchanger (instead of the radiator). the heat exchanger is cooled by sea water. this water is pumped by sea water pump (jabsco type) driven by the belt (the pump on the left side of the engine). then the same water will go through another heat exchanger for cooling engine oil, and another one for cooling the intake air (intercooler). at the end the water goes to wet exhaust manifold and goes out the transom mixed with exhaust fumes (cooling the exhaust as well).
      list of parts:
      -heat exchanger (x3, different sizes)
      -sea water pump,
      -radiator grade rubber tubes
as for the transmition you need :
-adapter plate (visible on my movie screwed to the aft end of the engine)
-bell housing (in my case 'cose my drive is the Z-drive)
      -vibration damper plate
if you have any questions- ask

    Hi which OM 606 9xx?

Hi Stephen, it is OM 606.962 from W210 however it doesn't matter much as after changing the electronic injection pump to manual it is just like any om606. the procedure to marinise it is almost the same for om602,603,605. hope that helps.

Do you think a car with 200 000 km still has lots of life?

@@stephenbonin3049 My first om606 was with 200 000 miles and was running like a dream! these engines run for ever. had one 605 with 450 000 km- a bit louder but again- no problem. if it is for a boat- buy it, you wont need to repower till the end of your life.

Piotr 80 that’s great they are a little harder to find in Canada, everyone here knows they are a great engine and they get scooped up fast.
