LOL!!! My mother cooked Turkey butt at Christmas. Especially when she was cooking on Christmas Eve. She cooked them the same as you did. They would offer us kids some and of course we turned our nose up and leave the room. But I remember they never set down at the table they always eat them standing at the stove and cabinet. Mother smiling and daddy grinning. I always though they were laughing at us kids. Now I know they were smiling and grinning because those turkey butts were good. I am going to make me some turkey butts and see if it makes me smile. Thanks for sharing. ♥️
Hello chef Jeff, yes turkey tails are and have always been my favorite part of the turkey. They make a great meal with dirty rice. Another fine recipe chef. Be blessed
Hi Chef. I ain't ashamed. Turkey butts are THE BEST!!!! And because they are boiled first, it gets rid of the excess grease. Lean, crispy, tender meat!!! Add some black eye peas and hot water corn bread and YOU'RE IN HEAVEN!!! Thanks for highlighting this overlooked part of the DRY TURKEY. LOL.
Hi Chef Jeffrey! My aunt loved turkey tails (she called them the last thing to go over the fence). I never understood why she had to have that part of the turkey every year but now that I’m in my senior years, I finally get it. They are absolutely delicious! Keep doing what you’re doing and God bless you.
OMG you have me cracking up with your “turkey butt humor”. All jokes aside I’m going to look for some tomorrow. I use smoked tails in my veggies but I’ve never had fresh ones fried. You are a blessing
Good morning Chief. My Mom would ask me to cook her some Turkey tails. This was when she was older and had stopped cooking. She would ask also that l would put these tails in greens to season them. You brought old memories today of my mother and her Turkey tails, thank you.
Hello Chef. My late mother in law made dressing out of turkey tails. It was awesome! I ate the tail of our roasted turkey Friday. It was delicious too. Thank you for giving us another idea/option.
My husband loves the turkey tail, (Funny when you said someone is turning there nose up right now, I was doing it ;0), I always set it aside for my husband , along with the neck and gizzard. I really never tasted it. He also loves stewed pig ears.:) tx for sharing I will search for them and fry them for him. I think he would really enjoy them.
Hey Chef Jeffery! I've never eaten Fried Turkey Tails before. 😂 They look very interesting. 😉 Crispy looking too. Thanks for sharing. Have a blessed day. 🙏 💘
I had turkey tails once and I loved the awesome taste, but they did taste very fatty. so i did some research before buying them again...i found out that the tail is actually a gland filled with oil. It is 40% saturated fat and high in cholesterol which can lead to heart disease and stroke...so from a place of love chef, your one of my favorite people in the world and I just wanted you to be aware and hope that you will go light on the turkey tails in the future... stay healthy and God bless..
I like turkey tails. I usually bbq them. I haven’t had them fried looks delicious. I hope I can find some. I see you’re changing some people minds about the turkey tails💜
Come on Chef! That tail always belongs to me & the family knows. I just found out where to find them in my city. Use the smoked in greens, green beans, pintos, etc. I definitely gonna try this recipe with the fresh tails. I also don’t use no dang canned soup in my dressing. I’m looking on RUclips & every dern body is using it, so I thought I should try it. Thank goodness I saw your video before I made that mistake. My family would probably not have liked it. Love your cooking Chef.
Well l’ll be Chef, you have shown me something new once again! I don’t even know if l can buy turkey tails in my neck of the woods here in MI but l’m definitely going to look for some on my next grocery run, would love to try these! Turkey knuckles are popular in my area. I found out that these are part of the turkey thigh, they are delicious also!

So this is the jumbo version hallelujah… I am looking forward to going to the market and seeing if there are packages of these there so I can make this recipe because there’s nothing I like better then turkey tails they are my favorite part beside the neck of course which I also don’t need to fight over L O L. The meat in the tail is the best part of the bird it’s succulent and delicious! Thanks for this fabulous recipe you have my head spinning. I could eat this whole plate myself and I’m looking forward to doing it. Big huge gigantic love from Colorado #HelpingOthersWithAPurpose

@@OLDSCHOOLSOULFOOD Oh. Sounds like I need to move back to Texas.
The stores in my area only have these already smoked unfortunately. Would love to try them and include them for stock if they were available.
If you’ve got a Spanish store nearby they may have them, or a local meat market. I had to call around to find the fresh.
Damn that looks good
My momma would call the turkey tail a “preacher’s nose.” And yes, they’re delicious fried!
Why did you even have a knife? 😆
I gotta try this tonight!
Good morning Chef Jeffrey!👋🏽
