Stuff doesn’t only happen in Argentina. Back in 1948, they got polling so wrong that everyone assumed that Thomas Dewey would comfortably beat Harry Truman in the US presidential election.
Thus, when the vote count went late and it was time for the newspapers to go to press, they simply went to print before the results came in. Even though Truman was leading through the count, the papers went with a Dewey win anyway. The next day, it was official that Truman had won but by then the newspapers were all over town already and the most famous was that of the Chicago Daily Tribune’s big bold headline “DEWEY DEFEATS TRUMAN” which gave us the iconic picture of Truman holding up the Tribune with that huge historic grin.
Kristen Schaal's in What We Do in the Shadows, a vampire mockumentary. It's well worth checking out if you haven't seen it.

Kristen Schaal, as well as all the other shows people have mentioned that she's in, is also in Flight of the Conchords! The show i keep suggesting you should watch cause im 99% sure you'd love it. Id love to see you react to it, but it is a US/NZ show, so i guess it probably doesn't fit the bill, but either way, you should watch it if you can.

Sadly Sean Lock was only on that one BFQ in 2008, I think two years later he completely stopped doing tv shows except for Cats.

I first saw Kristen Schaal in Flight of the Concords where she was very funny, and more recently in What We Do in the Shadows which is hilaaaaarious. I've never seen The Last Man on Earth and won't be searching it out. I trust your taste.

@@MandyCaneLane Hey, I'm okay. One of my dogs was sick, I lost her this morning. She had epilepsy and had a massive seizure last Tuesday which left her with damage. My other two dogs are keeping me company though so I'm good. It's better than her suffering.

Jimmy Carr's laugh always gets me. If I were there to make fun of his laugh, this would be funnier. I can imagine a cartoon or something clowning about his laugh.
The way they said "none of it news," it sounded like they were saying "Nunavut news," as if the name of a newspaper in the Canadian territory Nunavut. And now for a joke of my own: A man wanted to move to Nunavut, but his wife was having Nunavut. ...... ba dum tssss......
Speaking of presidents, (not really), but in a way, it must be nice having two presidents. One in one country, one in another. Ahem, Mandy. And with your "so & so won the presidency" story, sort of the same thing happened with Harry Truman. There's a picture of Truman holding a newspaper with the headline "Dewey Defeats Truman," when in fact, Truman had actually won.
