The video, directed by Brandon Gullion and produced by guitarist Frank Hannon is raw and high electric energy that takes fans back to the roots of TESLA. “Cold Blue Steel” is influenced by current events of the world, just like our debut single “Modern Day Cowboy” (1986) and touches on the subject fairly and open-minded by asking “what’s to blame?” when it comes to violence in the world” states Frank Hannon (founding member and guitarist). “More importantly, the recording and production of the song and video are kept raw and real, just the way TESLA fans want to see and hear us. We are survivors and have been rocking for 35+ years!”

Frank Hannon is such a bad ass. Most underrated guitarist in rock history.
He never has got the attention that he deserves, but none of them have. They do their own thing and don't follow others. Down home jeans and a tshirt band that rocks still today!

Damn, JK turned 64, maybe yesterday I think. Hard to believe how long they've been rockin'. Good for them. Always been one of my favorite bands of the day, unfairly labeled as hairband, when they weren't, but whatever, they had great success and are still around all these years later, even with a 5-night Vegas residency at HOB in the spring. I must've worn my cassette out of Five Man Acoustical Jam back in the day.

Jeff sounds better here than he did on Modern Day Cowboy recently. He's lost too much of his upper range. This fits his vocals better. Still has that attitude. But it doesn't tax his upper range at all. Troy Luccketta still killing it on drums. Cold Blue Steel. Nice track. Tesla still getting it done.

I am so glad I got to see them in 1989, Great White and badlands opened. This definitely has that raunchy feel to it. One of the few bands that didn't comprise there sound AND are still around with the original line up. I love this group!
