  • This is my first venture into something OTHER than Halo! There's a disturbing amount of evidence to suggest that the Ender Dragon may be the last of her kind and that her species was mostly wiped out.

Thanks! I’m trying… It’s hard to stay motivated when most videos don’t get traction.

That was interesting to see. I like how since Minecraft lore is so vague people can come up with all these wildly different interpretations.
At first I thought this was an April Fools joke until I looked at the video’s date.

It was a fun experiment. I’d like to do another one again some day. I think some really interesting stories could be created/found.

Makes sense. To make another Minecraft lore video you’d definitely have to really stretch what’s there. Even though it’s abundant clear the people making the game had no intention of telling a story with Minecraft it’s still really interesting to look at all these different elements and see how others connected the dots.
I’m pretty confident that once you mentioned that Minecraft Storymode has its own lore/story set in Minecraft, but it isn’t canon to the actual games. You might’ve also mentioned something about that Minecraft Dungeons game in the comment section of a different video. From what I’ve heard Micheal Kirkbride, the guy who wrote a lot of Morrowind’s INSANE lore wrote for Minecraft Storymode. Haven’t looked into what he made for that. Speaking of Morrowind, have you delved into Elder Scrolls? It’s by far my FAVORITE fantasy universe because of how crazy the setting is. I LOVE how they’ll take generic fantasy elements and give them an interesting spin (unicorns being Daedra is one example of this). There’s also plenty of truly crazy metaphysics. It’s one of those setting where thought shapes reality. The way people perceive the gods (Aedra and Daedra) will influence how said deities behave and look. Also, Talos is in fact a god. You can literally talk to an aspect of him in Morrowind. Skyrim was my introduction. Then I played Oblivion and had a tremendous amount of fun with it (unfortunately they retconned Cyrodill from being a jungle with rust dragons being spotted by the rivers, there being two distinct Imperial cultures that contrast, the religion used to be numerous different factions and the reason it was one entity in Morrowind was a missionary effort, and the Imperial city was MASSIVE in the lore. Read the First Pocket Guide to the Empire and pre Oblivion lore books about the place). Really need to play Morrowind and Daggerfall (get Daggerfall Unity because it ports the game into Unity so all the issues are fixed, and you can mod it to your heart’s content).

I’ve played a fair bit of Elder Scrolls. My first experience with the franchise was Oblivion, a game that I consider to be one of the greatest of all time. It’s in my top ten. Something about the world, the music, the quests and the atmosphere is absolutely unmatched to me. I get the urge to play it again at least once a year. The Shivering Isles is one of the greatest DLCs of all time too. It’s almost unfair to call it a “DLC” because it has so much content. It was a proper expansion. I really hope the rumors of a remake/remaster of Oblivion are true. I’d absolutely love an excuse to delve back into the that game properly.
I played a ton of Skyrim too and enjoyed it a lot. Not nearly as much as Oblivion but still, a lot. I’ve played a very very little bit of Arena as well.
Despite all of that, I never really got into the lore. I had no idea it even had interesting stories until relatively recently. That being said, much like a few other series that I really enjoy, I’ve thought about looking into it to make some videos.
