- Rising at 47 stories, Texas Tower will become the newest addition to one of the world's best skylines. It was supposed to top out at 735ft but has now surpass the height of Heritage Plaza.

The trees are known as topping trees. They celebrate completion of the skeleton of a building structure. If the building is a skyscraper, the evergreen is attached to the top beam as it is hoisted, a signal that the building has reached its final height.

Best skyline in the south. By comparison, "Downtown" Houston has more skyscrapers than Atlanta and dallas. Dallas has 8 or so skyscrapers with one at 900ft plus. Houston way more

It would nice to have a decent public transportation system in Houston with subways or elevated trains and a more frequent and efficient bus system. Infrustructually, Houston is behind some other cities with 1.5-8 million, although we have skyscrapers and strong industry.
Texas would never do that. They love their cars too much. It’s way behind California in terms of transportation.

Nice tower. Pretty soon though Austin will be outshining Houston AND Dallas lmao. At the moment though I think the big D has the nicest skyline in Texas.
Houston has the most buildings in Texas. You can visibility see that on this channel. It's gonna be hard to top that
@@spainspare Houston is so spread out. Dallas has a more compact, dense skyline and looks better. Pretty soon austin will too. Austin has around 10 buildings or so proposed and approved (and financed), under construction, or in site prep of 600 feet or taller. 7 of those are over 700 feet. Houston doesn't have that kind of development.

Not impressed with Houston given the fact it's the fourth largest city in the country. I lived near Chicago for 10 years and Houston feels tiny compared to that.
