The RO was announced it’ll break ground soon. Which I believe completes all the projects that this video discusses. Good to see everything taking shape!
The 82 floor Southwest Tower that was cancelled in the mid eighties due to the oil bust , maybe in today's economy it would be a great time to build that Southwest, it was suppose to have been built across from the One Shell Plaza to the east on that parking lot, that building would have been a lot taller than the JP Morgan Chase Tower. Austin is building an at 74 floors at 1021 feet, building that Southwest Tower would blow that away or building an building taller than the Empire State Building in Houston, Texas.
East River, Autry Park, Laneway, 1550 on the Green, TAMU innovation plaza, ION, Levit Green, Hanover River Oaks and Regent Square are also big projects in the works
Some of East River land is toxic waste dump. There have been metal plating business, other industrial businesses located on land for decades. Also East River is down stream from sewage plant discharge point. 🙂 Once upon a time Sharpstown, Greenpoint were brand spanking new luxury apartment communities also. They quickly went ghetto, crime infested areas because of government housing projects, section 8 housing. In Houston Montrose there are atleast two giant government housing projects near former 4th Ward neighborhood. While some people pay in excess of $2,000 a month rent others live close by and pay next to nothing. Enjoy Communism people!!!! Where will the next Greenpoint, Sharpstown be???? 🤳🔥
This is a great video. Much better than the similar videos voiced using bots that are now starting to sound AI-generated. Great work. Do you think you can do the same with Austin Texas?
I don't know whose gorgeous voice narrates this video but he has such a relaxing soothing voice that I think he should make ASMR relaxion videos also. I could fall asleep listening to that lovely voice.
"But only one helipad that residents will have to share" This man's got jokes. Post Houston opened and it's beautiful. The Allen's helipad, if it got built, will probably never be used, wind. Why are all the new cool developments, ultra-luxury. There's tons of space for everything... Yet we still have the derelict Holiday Inn building and low-ish density in midtown.
Then there's the 4200 acre Generation Park project along the NE section of Beltway 8, but that likely won't be completed in any of our lifetimes. The Redemption Square portion should be completed in a few years though.
@@luis4308 true, there's not enough there yet and the whole development has kind of stalled except for walking/biking trails and a new lake/park they're currently building.
Houston has a project, which never began, in the 1970s that, if built, would have been the tallest building in the world, even taller than the Burj Khalifa. It was called The Houston Tower. It was 500 stories high, with the height of 6,863 ft (2,092 m)
That was my favorite building it was call Houston Tower actually it would have been 200 stories the building's Houston building now they not even 50 stories
On that last project, I like the first rendering also. I wished that one would be on the other side of NRG where Astroworld used to be and more added to that. Move the Texans(even though I wish they were the Oilers) to Pearland.
Despite this is only projects toward future , Houston promise to be a big City due to the Great diversity in the population whose are able to offers high ability and talent to colaborate to development of this big City
@@cazedit8439 lmao this building is ugly imo. That's why US can't compare China and other developed Asian countries in building skyscrapers because of conservative people like you. Some of these buildings look like they belong in California...I don't think they understand how hot it gets here in Houston. People don't just chill outside during the long summer
POST Houston remaining a sprawling complex, surrounded by parking is still a waste of Downtown space. I understand it's cheaper to maintain the structure itself as-is, but they should build new housing over the parking lots.
POST has already done 90% of the work. Other developers will eventually capitalize on it’s success. I expect this side of downtown to explode the next few years.
@@JacobCuevasVFX I think the north side of downtown is probably still far from exploding due to it's proximity to the court houses and county jail, I'd love to see market square get more foot traffic though which will eventually make the rest of the area boom as well.
They can but it won’t be no more than 75 stories or 1000 ft because the FAA will not allow it . Downtown is too close Hobby Airport. It would be hazardous landing and leaving the airport.
@@nancyanguiano6039 LA's skyline is embarrassing to be the 2nd most populous city. It's so small confined in a box area. Honestly, SF and Vegas skyline looks better, and more alive.
Houston's doomed to same fate as so many other cities... gimmicky mostly glass boxes. Chicago's remains fortunate to be able to keep improving upon its already world-class skyline.
Houston needs a subway system for the downtown. If you have navigated downtown houston streets then you know traffic is a nightmare. Houston needs Elon MUSK Boring Company to go really deep and dig out a subterranean subway system to link all the office and medical high rise buildings to get most of the worker traffic off the roads .
I love the design and scale of Montrose Collective. What's your favorite Houston project?
It’s a religion and a cult for them it’s not what you think. It’s your taxpayers dollars to solve problems “they” haven’t yet created.
Texas Tower and The Post are my favorites
Texas Tower is only 735 feet.
Great video, and great music to accompany the video.
Houston is growing!
It is but unfortunately the system on which transportation is hasn't improved much, car dependency is something Houstonians must rely just to get by
@@link2442 hopefully they make the city more walkable but I like living here anyway
I love the medical center projects, also yes do more of these videos.
Hello, future person here, all of these buildings are with us now 😊
TMC3 recently broke ground.
I’m surprised you didn’t even mention East River. Man how Houston is growing. Great video!
Some awesome stuff! Houston's different skylines will be even better more interesting as they grow and some may even merge.
I attended the post grand opening yesterday. It's definitely how they rendered. Very nice design.
I LOVE the entertainment center where the old post office was yes Houston is moving UP !!!
Beautifully presented. Please do updates to all of these
