Scariest sound for a burglar at Jerry's house is a beep.
Lmfao
At least he was warned lol.
Because it is the last thing he is going to hear
Don’t forget the eye blinding o light
At least it will be a quick death.
The only home defense Jerry Miculek needs is a sign that says he lives there 😎
Amen!
100% true, the guy is amazing!!
An official sign with Jerry's face on it and gun zone...
His daughter too. She's amazing.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 good one
Jerry can defend his entire town with a snub nose j-frame 38, while holding it upside down.
Holding it upside down, blind folded and with one hand

sounds like you guys got a man crush on him. Get your gun, go out and practice
@@raymondpoh9939 man, they're just having fun. Being online does not mean you can't or don't practice. If that were they case, why did you leave a comment instead of practicing? See? It just doesn't make sense. Ease up a little
@@raymondpoh9939 yeah i have a crush on him, what of it? im also not gay, well, not for free anyways.
I love the shotgun. I live out in the sticks. It stays loaded with 00-buck. Out to 25yds everything is grouping in a torso. Just the wife and myself here. She is very good on the shotgun, likes it. Train, train, train. You must pattern your gun folks, with what you shoot, from close to far. Shotguns must be aimed well, same as a rifle. A light is very, very important. Sundown in the country redefines dark!! Identify your target positively. No guess work. Stay safe and train.
I'm going to send this video to my sister. I was telling her and her husband the pros/cons of having a shotgun for self defense. They just moved for work and it is not the safest neighborhood. I was explaining different types of shotgun ammo and Jerry here really drives the points I was making home. I appreciate the video, thank you.
*someone walks into Jerry's House - "Get some"
😂😂😂 pew pew
Nope, they will only hear "Beeep!"
The neighbors will hear "GET SOME!"
Standing over the intruder: "Well, we got a .12 second split, so that ain't bad"
@@mrolsen6987 and "BONSAI!!"
And then the neighbors would hear, " You know guys, I think that was a new record"
Jerry can I get one box of ammo?
Jerry: “Sorry I’m running low”.
Hes only got a 1 month supply on the shelves behind him
@@fixerupperer nah thats a couple days.
Thank you for doing this. Way too many first time owners or people looking to buy coming across RUclipsrs with brain worms. Happy to see quality information being produced. Thank you Jerry!
Well Said.
Or being more those people that says the only thing you can buy is such and such a brand or one of the 9 mm or 45 only guy those drive me up the wall! I mean if you’re gonna make a video on guns for self-defense /home defense don’t be a gun salesman Just give the information so they can make an educated decision. Jerry seems to be pretty good at that if you ask me
A year or two ago a woman in her 80's smacked an intruder in the face with an iron skillet, knocking him out cold. She knew her home, he did not. I have had different weapons in my house and on my person for protection. The biggest problem I perceive is people not being properly trained with fire arms and laws. Thank you for another great video.
I have a lot of respect for your shooting skills and the quality and respectful way you present yourself 👍🏻
Very good to hear you educating for possible scenarios. For those new to guns for self defense it could be a life saver for unintended possibilities. Thank you for your insights.
Anyone else jealous of his ammo collection on those shelves? And wondering how much more isn't in view?
Nope
@Dodge Mustang There is a shitload of ammo back there ...I only see projectiles on the top left shelf... Every box I see everywhere else is factory loaded ammo... Or at least factory loaded ammo boxes.
You should check out his "So you want to start reloading" video. If Jerry sold all his ammo, he could buy Manhattan Island out right.
Jealousy is a character flaw. You should feel happy for him, unless you wish to destroy him.
Thanks for the info Jerry! I live in a sub division and I keep my 12 gauge pump with light attached ready with bird shot and no.4 buck. 👍🏻👍🏻🇺🇸
Thank you, Jerry, for your insight. As an apartment dweller, I found this info important.
I want to go on a cross-country road-trip with Paul Harrell and Jerry Miculek . . . . . driving all the gravel back-roads.
There's always room for Hickok45!
@Iván Sánchez
1. Jerry
2. Paul
3. Hickok
4. Ian McCollum (Forgotten Weapons)
...what a combination of knowledge.
@-Biohazard- definitely demo ranch
@@tanay9540 Sorry, watching him do joint vids with other RUclipsrs is painful. Maybe just me, but several years ago he was giddily announcing that he just "Bought a Lamborghini!"
Then watched him with another channel and the haughty standoffish attitude was thick.
No interest in having him around as a solid gun expert. Just my two cents worth.
You can clearly see it in the eyes, in mho
@KP3DI & Ra Amon Khan; Mixup 98 Don't forget about him....
Good points. Many people think that a shotgun in CQB is the end all, be all; however, the pattern is small and you can miss....it happens.
yamaha biker but the news says if you saw a shotgun barrel down illegally it increases your accuracy by 100%
@@kirsch1616 the news says that do they? lol
I'm way way more concerned about weight, length, and capacity. That's a pretty hefty object to be trying to move around corners with. My fiancé is 5'5 120lbs. She's strong but even a shorter 18in shotgun sticks out like 3 ft from her and it's just heavy. Plus you hope you don't forget to pump between each round. A semi auto might work but same length /weight /capacity issues.
@@drewsmithson6665 If it ever becomes available, I would suggest the Remington tac-13 v3. It has a reduced recoil design, is short, and relatively light.
i'm in NYC, they said the best home defense is a whistle.
@Osnapittommy, so sorry you live in a communist city in a communist state. I truly hope after seeing how much the Democrats hate our Nation, people will stop voting for American hating democrats.
Best wishes to you and your family.
Sounds like Canada... That's where I live.
In Australia they say run, hide, call the cops... It's so tragic, you cannot own firearms for self defence.
😂
Try a crossbow my friend, not legally a gun but lethal for sure just dont miss ,better then nothing that they let us have
Jerry's home alarm does not beep. It is just a voice recording that says "Get Some".
LMAO!
It should say
BOUT TO GET SOME
Haha gg
Nah. Shooter ready? Stand by. BEEP!!!
top comment has been won you are far behind
I'm glad you mentioned the regular bird shot. That's what I keep in the shotguns at the house, just the regular old 7 1/2 bird loads. I patterned them at 5 to 10 yards cyl. Bore both and there tighter than I thought. I just figured 1 1/8 oz. is the same and I want shoot through walls also my wife can handle it! My dad used to tell me to keep some sort of buck in them until I showed him what regular bird loads do at house distances. Keep up the great videos I really enjoy them!
When I was a kid I shot my double barrel in the house all day , it went further after I cut the string off the corks !
No wonder I can’t find any ammo to purchase, Jerry has it all !
Mr. Jerry Miculek you have been very very helpful.
Thank you Mr. Jerry Micurlek for your expertise 👍🏾
Very very informative video Jerry thank you. Stay safe.
Chuck Noris calls Jerry when he needs someone that is faster than him
Outstanding series! Thank you Mr. Jerry
I'm guessing Jerry wasn't lining up to buy guns or ammo the last few weeks? LMAOOOOO!!
great info, thanks for breaking it down!
World of knowledge in that head!!! I learn something knew every time I listen to Jerry
I have #4 birdshot in my Mossberg because my bedroom is at one end of the house and both my kids is at the other on the other side of the stairs so I’m concerned about the interior walls between us. People diss birdshot but I don’t know anyone who wants to get hit by it.. also, if someone is coming up the stairs in my house and I hit them with bird shot and they keep coming I will do the same as I would if I had an AR or was using buckshot or an elephant rifle, I’d pull the trigger again.
I live in an apartment, so I keep #5 birdshot in one of mine, with buck in the other. The Mossberg 500A with 00 buck is for if I have to deal with anyone trying to break in my door. Narrow hallway, and my backstop on the other side of the door is a short stretch of parking lot backed by a tall hill. But inside, I will be reaching for the Mossberg Maverick 88 loaded with #5 birdshot. Don't want to harm my neighbors.
12 w/ bird or buck makes the same size hole at 7 yards. I prefer bird have others in the home have side saddle with buck and slugs. Having the right tools for the job is preferred.
@@aeredhaelredfalen6194 Looking at getting a Maverick 88, any reccomendations for upgrades/accessories?
You didn’t tell me to get some. I don’t know what to do now. Should I get some? Should I await further instruction before getting some? Should I get some but have it no-contact delivered?
Great Job Jerry! Everyone had to learn something from this.
Thank you for the good and very helpful uploads.
Short of a Delta Force/SEAL/SAS/SBS squad, I couldn't think of any fool even contemplate breaking into your property Jerry! From the UK, much respect to my wonderful American brothers and sisters out there!
Great information, thank you. Awesome statement, "A lot of blunt lead going in a direction can solve a problem".
I'm using 00 in 3", 870 Wingmaster. Good review Jerry thank you...
My preferred firearm for home defense is the Rossi Circuit Judge loaded with the first 3 rounds being #4 410 shells and the last 2 rounds being 45 long colts.
Roll and folded crimp. Interesting, learning again from you 🙂. Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge.
Thanks Jerry. Good content for all the new gun owners out there in social distancing land.
great video! a ton of info! I'm saving your video for reference; Thanks for posting!
Thanks, Jerry! So Much Appreciated!!
Very thorough overview! Thank you!
Hey Jerry I've always wanted to know about the wall of ammo boxes behind you. Are they empty, full boxes? Could you do a vid and explain it I'm sure I'm not the only person wanting to know. Thanks Jerry keep the vids coming
Funny was thinking the same thing
I seriously doubt those boxes are empty. :)
Empty boxes would not make the shelf sag.
They haven't been opened. Probably full
Explains why I can't find 5.56 ammo that and toilet paper
Thanks jerry,great informative video!
All that ammo reminds me of 'The Wolf on Wolf Street' where he's like, "those are rookie numbers, you gotta get those up" lol.
I have Winchester Super X 00 buck 3" 12 guage shells loaded in my KSG for home defense.
Thank you for making this video.
Both tubes?
Damn..this guy needs some more ammo on his shelf 🤣🤣😂😂🤦🏻♂️
Fiocchi #4 buck seems a good choice at our house. Thanks for the series sir! :D
U share the love, sharing knowledge jerry! thks for this great data! stay safe, hang it up guys! greetings from argentina!!!
Pearls of wisdom from the Wise Man........Thank You.
m2 browning converted in to 10ga shoot gun
on the serious side i like a 12ga pump
Not recommended.
Length, weight, capacity. All issues. Plus let's hope you don't forget to pump in an emergency.
I'd move to a semi auto if you had to have a shotgun for home defense. But generally speaking, I would say to evaluate and pick an AR15 instead. .223 rounds tend to break up hitting not people. Plus the weight/length/capacity is so much better. 30 rounds vs 3-6 in a shotgun. Maybe a pistol caliber AR. .45 ACP or 9mm. Something smaller, lighter, more bullets. But you still get the penetration /carried energy issue through walls.
Yep. My main 'by the bed' is a 500 with light and #4 bird.
But.. there are many choices laying around.
Thanks Jerry, great video!
Hi Jerry, love your videos. Please do one on your gun cabinet, cabinets! Love from the U.K
Simple and easy to understand thanks
I store mine loaded & racked, I even take one to the crapper, nothing worse than get'in caught with yer pants down... LMAO!
Never know when the Chipotle from earlier is gonna attack!
Mosin carbine by the throne because, I like to party so back off me bro!
First line of defense, properly reinforced security door and door. The time it takes to get through the first security door gives you time to aquire and ready for use whatever your Second line of defense may be. Most doors come down in a few seconds as they are built around a weak door frame.
I leave my door unlocked so it doesn't get kicked in. It is much easier to clean up a mess and a gun than to re-hang a door.
@@pennise Never dealth with Bio-Hazzard, guess you'll learn the hard way.
pennise so they make no noise while you sleep then wake up to a gun in your face.
IMO the first line of defense is at your property line. A fence and some "no trespassing" or "beware of dog" signs will make it clear that your house will not be a cakewalk. Second line of defense is your doors and windows (and the alarm system, if you have one). Third line of defense is YOU.
My first line of defense has always been a couple of extremely protective dogs. They have always served me two ways, as a possible deterrent and an early warning alarm. But properly securing doors and deadbolts will definitely add advantage points to the home owner.
This guy is a national treasure!
Awesome information!
WOE UNTO THE INTRUDER WHO BREAKS INTO JERRY'S HOME AND HEARS **
I live in town and when I do load up a shotgun I use heavy field loads of #4 shot. Might damage my house a bit but no danger to neighbors. Ruin a bad guys day for sure at 15 feet. All Mossberg 500s, one 835. As they say you own the shot till it comes to a stop.
think he needs more ammo on the shelves.
Thanks for the new vid Jerry. I have a 870 Wilson Combat. I should get a Mossberg. I mean Mawzberg.
*Jerry Miculek - Pro Shooter* Thank-you sir for taking the time. God Bless brother.
Jerry was the inspiration for "Home Alone", minus weapons that go bang. LOL
I think the first thing that somebody will hear when they break into Jerry's house will be: "Ha haaaaaaa!"
That or "Here we gooo"
get some
"What took ya?"
*BEEP*
Jerry is the Chuck Norris of guns!
Chuck Norris wishes he could be Jerry! Get some!
I LOVE YOUR AMMO LIBRARY in back of you!
Lucky Gunner did a 2part series on shotgun ammo and patterning you shotty.
But always love the extra info you give Jerry.
Thanks for sharing your videos and keep them coming please.
Jerry has more ammo than the local ammo store!
I have seen every video on this channel, and that back ground always makes me giggle...with jealously
Glad to hear some common sense talk about pattern sizes for home defense. I can't imagine why anyone would want a 2" pattern when shooting across the room. I like a 1' spread at 7yds. I'd grab the AR before I'd use Federal Flight Control.
TY so much 4v all the info !
i like ## 4 buck 18.5 barrel for home defense.
I have owned a 870 for 28 years and it is smooth and tough as nails
So much knowledge. I love it.
I’d like to wallpaper my man-cave with his wall.
Thank you! Very informative
Old school for me. Browning humpback light twelve. Any load that will cycle that action will stop anyone at close range.
Get Some !!!!!!!!! Great video Mr. Miculek !!!!!!!!!
In this episode, I see three shotguns discussed, ALL Mossberg: 590 pump (called 500 here); the new 940 JM Pro; and a modified and tricked out Shockwave. He also mentions matching them with the application so birdshot for short range for less overpenetration.
Thanks for this Excellent video!!!
Fantastic video!
My wife is 5' and a wish. LOL Her home defense go to is a Remington 870 20 Gage, with #4 buck and a modified cylinder choke. Seemed like a good compromise.
Please take care of yourself Jerry! Thank you for the content!
Thank you.
This is a lifetime worth of information. I love the current situation topic.
And for some strange reason, 29 people gave it a thumb down.
Always great content...
Thank you, Jerry!
Great video. I’m looking for a laser and/or light for my Mossberg Maverick 12G. Any suggestions? I currently have a Tacstar side saddle with picatinny rail installed. Thanks.
Since its spring cleaning time, is it OK if a few of us come over next weekend and shoot down some stock, just to tidy up the shelves?
Does anybody want to organize Jerry’s ammo collection behind him or is it just the OCD inside of me
Don’t touch it, he knows exactly where everything is. Lol
Oh it drives me nuts too lol
I will never mess with another man's organized mess. However I know what you mean.
@@jimthegatekeeper59 who else has that amount of ammo and never uses it? If this is his viral video background, what does the rest of his stash look like???
@@FireSkittlez85 I'm sure it's been replenished quite a few times.. Between his demonstrations, competitions, training and his instruction he does.
It would be sweet if there was a SHTF video by Jerry. something that you may have to use inside of the car and Carry long distance, something that you may have to use for short-range or long-range. What handgun as well
I have your JM pro 930 it came with different chokes. What one should be used for bird, buck shot and slugs? Thanks!
Improved cylinder if you’re not wanting to change out between the different rounds. And the rest is on what you prefer at what distance.
Thanks Dad. Love you!
Jerry thanks for all your videos. Mike
Thanks Jerry!
TY! 940 JM Pro, gotta get some(does it support a light mount?)!
My Shockwave has not been shot too awful much, a few hundred rounds. It has totally destroyed 2 laser sights. I just shoot it instinctively now. Even at 10 yards ( a really big residential room) fine birdshot will blast through sheet rocked frame wall. Thanks Jerry!
Jerry your literally sitting in front of a gold mine!!!!! Hahhaha rock on
Great video two thumbs up👍👍.
Question: when shooting your shockwave. Is it like having a flash bang grenade going off in front of your barrel in a little light conditions since it’s ported?
I found all the damn ammo lol. Thanks Jerry!
