Never heard of this guy. But when he got on camera and immediately praised the cameraman for his work it told me everything I needed to know. Probably a good dude to work for
I feel one difference between Minty & at least 90% of shops, they wash EVERY car like it's a Buggati or a Lambo, you can pull up with a rusty ass bike that has one wheel and they still gonna treat it with the same energy
I sent this to my son, this is great motivation for him. Hearing him talk, he sounds just like my kid. He's doing mechanic work and loves it. BUT....... he's got potential to do better so maybe listening to this will open his mind some more.
I appreciate this content yall, I tried to apply to minty detailing a while ago 😂 but you guys are not lying about detailing business, I’m still not up and running but this is motivation cause it’s not about money for me and I had to learn that thru trial and error. Much love ✊🏽🇯🇲
Funny thing is. I was like ehhh I’ll wait to watch this one and it became one of my fav episodes. Shout out to minty. I’ll be brings my cars there real soon.
I fw all the pod casts real nice to see people on the island and local businesses. I wish you could have someone on who owns an auto repair shop n how he got his start becuase the barrier to entry is much higher then a detail shop
Exactly why I wanted to start a vinyl wrap shop cuz when I was taking out my transmission myself on the street my body was killing me 😂 I’m not doing that everyday
$150 for a full Devon and clay bar is pretty good. Here in Florida for everything he said and a sealant I paid $250 but it was worth it because they touched up a door panel. Not perfect but the car isn’t perfect. Very worth it. They used quality stuff too
Minty got SWAG and confidence for days. Never heard of this dude as Im not in NY, but one of my favorite guests compared to some more big name "famous" guests you have had on
@@jehanzebkhan8063 I agree. But honestly , anyone with a high school diploma can be a detailer. It’s one of those niche business’ that any guy or gal can get into without a degree. Which is why it’s super saturated. It’s not hard to wash a car. It’s all about advertising and marketing your business.
Bros doing big things .. but starting a business without a business model not knowing if you’re gonna be able to make rent! That’s wild! Glad it worked out for him
Bring more co hosts like Ray in for these casts. He asks good questions and is very involved. The asian guy kinda just is there.. not really contributing to the interviews
it's everywhere on Facebook platforms. all they do is brag. and belittle the next guy, thats just starting. they forget how they started and where they at now.
Just 10 minutes in and his come up story is all over the place doesn't make sense doesn't feel 100. Congrats to you on your success but it doesn't connect with me.
i was washing cars my teenage year inside and out starting a detailing job lol its not that hard 😂 niggas just act like they da best bro how many ppl detailing now? lol i can start tomorrow with autozone equipment and in 2-3 months buy better equipment or simple create a business plan then go get a loan and boom😂
detailing isn't that simple if you think you're just " washing a car".....It may seem simple but it takes time to " start" For starters how will you plumb your water tank ... Are you going to use barbs or quick connects coming from your tank to the diaphragm pump or are you going to trust In gravity feeding.... Are you going to go electric pressure washer or gas.....The list to " start " is long and all that you do to start must be written down...
@@StreetAlphaPodcast unless the garage door business goes down i might but theres plenty of ppl out there that detail already im good like i said it aint hard lol to figure a game plan for it

This is a great compliment. That’s a true Detailer, gotta treat every vehicle with the same care.

$50 is cheap , places out there charging hundreds.
bro minty is 100% right back in the day mechanics use make money but now nobody waste there time on being a mechanic or any other skill trades etc.
In the great words of Mike Jones, "it takes grinding to be a king, It takes grinding to be a king"
The detailing business is extremely saturated especially in the tri state area. It’s important to invest in a marketing team
Or go to another state

This is exactly what i been saying to myself.. another state would be doable if one just goes for it takes the risk, u gotta
I literally can relate to his story like almost 100% everything besides the having my own shop part I’m still a mobile detailer
How much do you charge for a basic wash not including the interior....
@@cutlasssupreme508I’m at $80. 90 min exterior clean & sealant.
