like oh my god, im from vancouver and like im a fully grown adult and like my parents paid for everything ive ever accomplished in life. like oh my god. thats all i can get from this video
It's not really good to judge. Not from Vancouver originally. I also have 3-4 streams of income and my parents don't pay for anything in my life. Its generally not nice to say something if you don't have anything nice to say.
wow thats such a nice space, and for $1850 that's a steal!!! I've been trying to find a new place to live in yaletown, but its definitely hard to find one at a good price with a good floor plan! nevertheless, my hunt will continue haha, I think I'm like part 3 or 4 of my vlogs looking for a place. Also, i love the west elm coffee table, I was looking at a bar cart with similar features!
Thank you so much! The coffee table was definitely was a score. It takes time to find the right place, I am very happy with the new situation for sure. Best of luck on your journey with this. Let me know if I can be of any help.
nice video and beautiful place! I am currently looking for a place in Vanc. Do you also hear the sirens when inside?? or only when in the outdoor space?
Thank you! I dont normally hear anything when the windows are closed. But I do leave my windows open for air sometimes, and then I hear them. But its never too bad, or I'm just used to it lol
Hi Stephan, its amazing apartment ! What is the name of the apartment? I really liked the kitchen windows, they arent so popular in Vancouver. I wish you happy and fun life in your apartment ! Cheers
That's a lot of bedrooms lol! I'm sure there are some available, but they will definitely be pricy. You're better off finding a home with several bedrooms.
I love your place, it's very cozy and peaceful. Vancouver is such a beautiful city and it is indeed better to have big windows for such beautiful views (I lived on Nelson Street for a year). A very nice guy for a very nice condo 😋
That's awesome! Vancouver is a great place to live. It really depends, rentals come in so many different sizes. Around this price point, I feel like you would be getting a studio or a junior 1 bedroom. But sometimes you can get a deal as I did and get something a little bigger.
Hi Stephen your video is great. I’m moving to Vancouver in July and I’ll be looking for an apartment just like this. Modern, fresh, bright. I’ve been looking online at Brewery District and I’m prepared to pay up to 2400 per month. Any advice you can give would be great. I’ve even considered English Bay. Have a great weekend
This is awesome! You will love it. Where are you moving from? I feel you have a really healthy budget and will be able to find what you're looking for. English Bay is nice and there have been some new apartment rentals go up there. The West End is a great spot too, the buildings are a little older, but you get a lot more size and mind even find a renovated unit for your budget. It's also close to beach ;)
@@StephenCovic thanks for replying Stephen and for your advice. I'm moving from England around the end of June. My company will provide up to 3 months temporary accommodation to give me chance to find my own. But your style apartment is just the type I would like. I want it to be bright, light, modern and big windows. I'm looking for a 2 bed for when family and friends visit me. I can't wait!
Man I dont get why do you pay $2050 a month rent when you could finance your own house and then pay $2050 a month then after the whole payment for the house is done in like 20-25 years then the house will be yours.
I get what youre saying. But everyone's situations are different. I live downtown and need a roof over my head. Based on what I can finance and afford, any type of property would put me way out of the city. Which is less than ideal. I actually have purchased a pre-build, which will be done soon and I will rent it out to start building equity. Everyone's real estate journey is so different.
Basically you stay 1 year there and almost 25 000 $ gone :-( Imagine staying 10 years or more . That is why owning your own apartment , even if it's the smallest one and the ugliest one in not a most desire location it's always Win ! Win ! Win !
Thanks for your message! You are totally right. But not everyone has the luxury to save money somewhere and wait to buy. But thankfully I've been crafty for the last few years and was living with multiple people for a few years. This helped lower my costs and I was able to save enough money to buy my own place. I'm waiting on this property to be completed. I'm already saving for my second-income property. Renting is a great option because I'm not ready to settle into one place and enjoy the flexibility to move around still.
Very quaint. Lovely. Was thinking...why the ceilings are so low...then remembers that Stephen is suuuuper tall😛
such a great space especially for the price and location! ✌🏼
Ya I got a good deal!!! I’m happy here 😊
He's so tall the bar stool looks like a regular dinner table chair when he sits
Being 6'7 has its problems haha 😂

Hello, I am soon moving to Vancouver, could you tell me the exact same location where you're living, cause I want to live in an apartment like that..
Love this! I'm thinking of moving to Vancouver and I'm wondering what I can afford lol. Are most places downtown of this size only rentals?

How much do u think it would rent for today? Like how much have prices gone up
I think it would go for $2600-$2750. That's just a guess though, so hard to say.
@@StephenCovic wow, pretty crazy
