I found that knit picks through you and have loved every yarn I’ve used from them. So many socks made with their stroll fingering. I made my dad a colourwork tapestry out of the Wool of the Andes bulky weight and I just finished my porcelain sweater out of palette! It’s my favourite place to get good quality wool at a decent price❤
Hi Emily! Love your podcasts and knitting inspo vids!! It turns out we also have a similar reading taste too so yay for that haha :D Looking forward to more of your content!
Hi Emily! Knitpicks is not available in The Netherlands and ordering it from the USA would be too expensive concerning shipping costs and import duties. I love your PetiteKnit cardigan! I think the fit is perfect. Thanks for this lovely podcast and happy knitting!
Thank you for letting me know! It’s so fun having a very international audience, but it’s definitely a balancing act trying to use a variety of yarns that are accessible to different folks! I may stick to a roundup of my favorites across a few categories of yarns 😁
I love your Eva Cardigan! You mentioned some things about the differences between the Eva cardigan and the champagne cardigan but I’d love to see a more in depth comparison, especially with how you’d style both. Great episode as always ☺️
I’m currently working on the tendreil sweater by the knit purl girl with Knit Picks City Tweed. Definitely check out that pattern! It’s mostly stockinette but has lightning bolt texture on the front body framing the neckline. The shine of your Wool of the Andes would look gorgeous in the texture.
Hmm the fabric on the Eva looks very crease-prone, not sure I would pick this yarn. But I like the color a lot. So nice about the free the sock pattern!
I tested the Rhue for Rebecca and it’s such a delight to make! It’s got a contiguous construction so it’s both saddle and raglan combined, and I love how tailored the fit is.
Hey Emily! Loved this episode 😊 just a heads up that Donegal (at least the place in Ireland after which the yarn is named) is pronounced "dunny-GAWL". I think donegal (the yarn) has at this point gained its own identity and therefore maybe even its own pronunciation, but just wanted to let you know in case you're ever referring to Donegal (the place) 😅
I think the pink and white yarn you held up at the end would be great for Andrea Mowry’s DRK everyday cowl. It has a soothing slip stitch feature and i used a solid color along with a variegated color, just like you have!
Hi Emily! I really enjoyed this episode! Love the yarn you selected for the Sibling Sweater! I would be very interested to hear more about Knit Picks yarn in an upcoming episode. Also, curious to know if you have had to pay custom / duties fees for shipping to Ontario from Knit Picks?
Thank you! I’m loving the color pairing more and more as it works up 😁 I’ve placed several orders from knitpicks, and while some have been under and some have been over $100USD in value, I have never paid any customs. I am also usually able to get free shipping through a code / I shop on browser only to use my Honey extension and can get a discount.
lol you started talking about the lanark and i slowly looked down at the lanark i'm currently making for my brother that i decided to work on while watching your podcast. the one i made for myself during the test knit last year was even a dark purplish color (though it was a little more reddish than the purple you have lol).
I know - it's annoying! But the Drops brand have similar qualities of yarn and are very reasonably priced. I go by the gauge rather than the weight stated and find Drops Flora a good substitute for Swish. If you can get together with a knitting friend and put a large order in, they ship for free to the UK for orders over £60.
I'm a budding technical editor and would love to tech edit your pattern with no charge before you release it. I have edited for several designers so I have some experience and my career prior to tech editing was as a technical editor and writer for various software products so I have a detail-oriented, technical background. Thanks!
The shadow wrap heel have a very good momentum to it compared to a traditional heel flap and gusset; I wouldn’t necessarily say it’s easier, but definitely satisfying and a less disjointed process!
Beautiful Eva Cardi! Yes, that purple is wonderful for you. And the pink yarn for a spring knit is perfect!!!
I would love to hear about your experiences with Knit picks (and other yarns). Thanks for sharing your thoughts and crafting with us.
Stay tuned! Definitely thinking that there will be some more yarny content coming your way!
Your Eva cardigan is so lovely! Inspired me to finally start my own ❤
I hope you love it! It’s a neat construction 😁

Love your podcasts! Kudos for your pattern. Definitely an appetite here for thicker wool socks!
I'm a Knitpick fan too. Love the deep purple yarn, can wait to see your project.
Eva cardigan is looking nice. Thanks for inspiring with the head band.
Thank you!! The headband is so great!
I would live a Knitpicks roundup video! Please do❤
Hi Emily! Love your podcasts and knitting inspo vids!! It turns out we also have a similar reading taste too so yay for that haha :D Looking forward to more of your content!
I would LOVE a KnitPicks round up. I made the Champagne cardigan using the exact combo you used, and it turned out beautifully!
Yes! I love knit picks too! Would love to see that video :)
Noted!!
Love that purple ❤
yes, using a smaller needle on the purl side will help to fix the problem of rowing out.. Love the podcast!
Thank you!!
Emily you are GLOWING in this video
Would love a favourite yarns round up!

This is certainly something I can consider doing!!
I love your Eva Cardigan! I like seeing it in a drapey-er yarn compared to the Peer Gynt samples. Your project is tempting me to cast one on!
Thank you!! It’s definitely worth the knitting flat!
just got here and your hair is BEAUTIFUL! not that your natural hair isnt, but it looks so soft and silky today!!!
Haha thank you! A little dry styling oil and a fresh blowout always makes me feel great 😊

Oh yes!! I love that detail on the sweater…I only wonder if it is too dark and tweedy to really let the full impact through?
Hmm the fabric on the Eva looks very crease-prone, not sure I would pick this yarn. But I like the color a lot. So nice about the free the sock pattern!
I have noticed what you mean! I do think a slightly more dense yarn or tighter knit fabric would help with that!
Love your Eva cardigan! I want to try that yarn. I don’t care for most 100% wool against my skin.
I love the puple yarn
Isn’t it scrumptious?!?
I tested the Rhue for Rebecca and it’s such a delight to make! It’s got a contiguous construction so it’s both saddle and raglan combined, and I love how tailored the fit is.
Thanks for sharing!! It’s definitely a strong contender 😁

@@highfiberknits Thank you, Emily!
Would love to watch a yarn review, whether Knits Picks only or not!
Thank you!!

What a funny coincidence!! I love how many people the pattern suits 🥰 I’d love to see your purple version; can I find it on Ravelry?
@@highfiberknits yes! i'm fionamadrid on ravelry and i just called the project "lanark sweater test knit"
Knitpicks isn't available in the UK and I believe nowhere in Europe really, unless you pay an exorbitant amount of shipping and duties.

I need an easy heel
