Thank you for this interview a love Patti's heart she is so wonderful and loving and she is nice to a fault! But thats why we ADORE her. And she may not have the hits as others do but you'd be hard press to find anyone more passionate and more caring and will absolutely leave it on the stage! But when she is being interview you can really tell how shy she is.
I remember that. Oprah introduced her as "The Voice" at some point in the 80s. Then in '98 when Whintey and Mariah came on she asked Mariah how it felt to sing with "The Voice"? After that people started calling Whitney the voice although by then her voice was nothing special at all.
Wait did Oprah borrow some Patti hair? Or was it always that big back then? Also, how is she singing the operatic gospel version of this song. Never ceases to amaze.
I love patti she is my favorite Artist,She dosent sound like this anymore,still good but something happend to her voice,its not as strong and sharp I miss that about her,I would see her twice a year at this time in the80s and 90s I took a few years off and I ve seen her recently and her voice just dosent bounce off the walls like it used to,however its still a good show!
@darkebony you realize that Patti is human right? Its sad and unfortunate, but its LIFE my dear. You cant expect a 66 year old to do the same things they could do when they were 40, or 20. Singing takes alot of breath and lung capacity, I mean thats why people can't run like they can when there younger, because they have shorter breath. That affects singing, and its just natural aging.
@cashmire1 wow youll really ask for ALOT. This is 23 years old, it was probably recorded on VHS then uploaded to the internet, that was a lot of transferring. You cant expect HD recording for something that was filmed before the internet was recording. If its barely audible for you, i suggest upgrading you speakers, cuz if you using built in speakers are regular computer speakers you cant adjust the volume high enough
@cashmire1 I know, it just hurts me to see what the last ten years had done to her, she slides on stage in the 5 inch pumps it looks almost unsafe for her, trust me if anyone is in her corner she knows that it would be me.Ive known her since 1966 , When I first met Patti I knew she would be a star, but she really did not know how to use her voice and look what happend latter,one of the biggest stars in show business and I was there to see it happen for her!
