You want some asshole off a bench? You can just punch the guy, yes. But Fred prefers to completely incapacitate his subject with a touch of class and with some degree of stealth.

Some people are meant to be punching bags. Then, they shake hands like, "Thanks for fuckin me up a little. I didn't learn anything and I'll never be able to apply these techniques, but I'm glad you beat me up continuously and was slow on breaking when I tapped."
exactly he's just a show off. there is ways to demonstrate that and cause far less discomfort
@2:30 "He can't talk. Hahaha." Or breathe.
yeah, for a instructor hes slower then his grandma as releasing him.
+b Tac Exactly! 👍
This so called instructor appears to enjoy hurting people, even if they are his "students" or if its for demonstration. The fact that he cant even break after the guy tapps him, only shows what kind of person he is...
I'm going to try this with the old ladies at the park . I have to start with them to see if it works before I try with drunk dudes
Yes start with something easy. You can always work your way up.
A laugh from the past 4yrs ago. Hilarious comment!
You have to bear this in mind, if you're gonna test yourself against innocent people who does nothing to you, then you'll be classed as a bully. The only time you need to test yourself is if you are being attacked innocently and you've got nowhere to escape, other than leave people in peace, and then think about the consequences, YOU COULD GET YOURSELF IN LOTS OF TROUBLE. It's people like that who ends being kicked out of dojos.
Its so funny because every video Fred is so damn agressive and maybe puts a little too much power in training 😂
Not to mention the person he "demonstrates" on...is always 100% compliant. Being overly aggressive helps sell the nonsense technique as "effective."
I could be blackout s***faced drunk...and I would dump this maestro guy on his dome with a hip toss...and he would do absolutely nothing about it.
Note to self, do not take that mans seat.
Hahaha!
2:00 bullshido starting
looks like assault and battery to me.
👍💯. This is not training.
Doesn't look like the drunk disorderly guy is much of a threat on a bench lol
***** don't arrest him
What is this was a drunk guy who either crashed your party, or outstayed his welcome in your house? Possibly threaten to mess anyone up who tries to make him leave?
+Summer Kawasaki Actually I'm consisting an actual situation that I have found myself in. Simply trying to drag them out resulting a physical altercation, a broken nose and broken furniture.
Utilising such a pain compliance technique could have seen the situation brought under control a lot quicker, with less injuries on the both of us.
Haha liked how he was like.... Get off my bench. Flip.
awesome! now I know how to get rid of an unwanted guest out of my house
My personal opinion: I like Fred and his tactics and specially how he is able to flow while causing a lot of discomfort. If you have ever been in a situation similar to these you know for a fact there isn't an order of action, one person might react in a violence manner, when in the contrary one could face somebody who shows a lot more compliance. In my personal experience anything regarding cutting blood flow, air flow, and soft pressure points around the neck/face area works. With that being said, there is always a need to add a little "salt and pepper" before being able to control a person to the extent Fred is doing (which he does). In the scenario above it seems as they guy is portraying the part of " drunk guy who messed with everybody, caused trouble and now he is staring to get tired so he sits down and doesn't want to leave". Ive notice people react to pain in different ways, specially under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol, and taking into consideration the person's size is highly critical in my opinion, as shown above I think Fred targets the pressure points around the femoral nerves in one of his scenarios, this might harder to accomplish on somebody who has a larger muscular mass due to weightlifting. The nerve stimulant might not be as shocking specially while being drunk. I think we need to keep in mind these are just scenarios, it can give us a road map on how to act but at the same time things can played out completely different. I do agree with some of the comments regarding his "abuse or excise force" to an extent. However, sometimes these things are meant to be felt, so you have an idead of much damage and pain you can cause somebody, and Fred shows a lot of control. The art of self defense is not ballet, it doesn't mean you have to train all the time like you would fight, but it it won't hurt ( no pun intended) to try things out in a realistic painful way occasionally so you can gauge your performance and know when to go full power and when to pull back.
This is real. Mr. Mastro is definitely good. I've trained for over 20 years in EP, pain compliance, chokes, etc and hold a 4th Dan in Japanese Koryu; It's obvious Mastro knows what he's doing. I've used most of what he just did in that video- and it works. Try a big strong guy, drunk or not, deciding he's sitting in your club or your bar, or your house and refusing to move, or being a messy, bullying, drunk dum dum that's threatening people you love. He will move with this. The Dalai Lama, and countless others haven't hired Mastro because he's ineffective. Easy to sit behind a keyboard, glowing like Golum and troll. You'd soil yourself if you were nose to nose with this guy. Keep going Mastro and Funker; those of us who've been around, know it works, and love your stuff.
Its also easy to sit behind a keyboard and make people believe your something your not!
Ik one of his technique that works and its the throat strike but the rest is bs
Love to see this guy's attitude if he was being demonstrated on and the person didn't break it off when he taps, I'm pretty sure he wouldn't be as passive as these guys, what a douch
Him putting on those glasses... 😂
All I can say is WOW! Brave man for being the D&D dude!
Control is an understatement...nice moves!
Fred is having way to much fun haha
Brilliant love your Fred
lol@ him just kicking his ass the whole time
To all the people wringing their hands and showing concern about that technique, remember that Funker is primarily a MILITARY themed channel not a security guard training or self defence seminar.
damn, that shit would sober you up quickly haha
That's My Seat Pal!!! near pissed myself when he Dumped him over Backwards... I Been There Seen It Done
Having no intention to start an argument about X martial art being superior to Y martial art, my question is this: would these techniques work as well against someone with BJJ, MMA or other competitive fighting skills? Also how do you modify your technique against someone who is expecting you to attack him and is ready to resist? Love your videos btw keep it up!
No they wouldn't work as well, but they would still work on most people. Fred has extensive training in BJJ and muay thai , so he knows what to expect from your average mma fighter. They on the other hand have not spent 20 years training in Silat. A martial art where the main goal is to attack the very same parts of the body that mma fighters spend years avoiding, so to not get disqualified. If you don't believe me watch a video of an mma fighter training, then watch a video of Silat training in Indonesia. You'll see the difference pretty quickly.
Funny how most people are squirmish about the roughness of Fred's videos. He doesn't work in sports martial arts, he doesn't do sports martial arts, he practices actual martial arts with the old school approach. His field of expertise is self defense and he has also worked as a bouncer. You learn a LOT faster and the point gets across a lot soonet practicing this way. It's not pleasant but neither are real life situations where you need to have at least as much of this attitude if not double.
Dude, you got some balls to keep getting beat up by the Mastro
The guy was tapping out for f*ck sake let go already. The guy was being taught how to defend and preserve himself but he was severely manhandled by his "instructor" how ironic
no thanks Fred, you don't have to show me, i believe you
"How do you feel?"
"Helpless, there's nothing I can do!"
Who knows how to escape that rear naked choke?
Dude had no control of the legs. Literally just bring your head into his chest and flip around. This is mcdojolife quality stuff right here.
@@matthewevans5823 I would love to see you set up a video with them all here, have it done in real time, and see you test this in the moment.
@@matthewevans5823 Not even them, just go to a decent BJJ place, tell them to apply a rear naked choke and say go, and as they do try to bring your head in and flip.
I would expect a drunk and disorderly person to be a little more disorderly to warrant offensive action like this.
With a lot of respect I don't understand, they laugh but there's nothing to Laugh...Thanks your compliant friend, everybody of us could work with a compliant sparring partner....
Nice Work💪
" Train like you fight, fight like you train. "
More FRED videos lol j'en veux plus!
damn fred must go through training partners like toilet paper.
This dude knows his pressure points
I'm a paramedic in Denver and I deal with violent drunks every weekend and I get hurt while helping them, knowing those moves would be very helpful for me to get compliance so I can do my job and work on his or her injuries.
😂😂😂
I apologize for laughing, because your comment makes sense. Seriously doubt that you would run through Fred's entire menu on some medical emergency who is being uncooperative.
But the mental image... fucking hell.
Yes you are correct! Lol
Very effective!
Amazing skills
Fred is the best
Mastro has awesome technique and skills
Is there any footage of Frank actually fighting someone? This guy seems great. I'd really like to see him in real fight though
Unicorn Hunter ruclips.net/video/6HWqD-H0_LU/видео.html
@Peter Miller that's not even the thing. He does street applicable techniques, not mma. Of course if he steps into a ring, with rules against an mma fighter he won't do well.
So much for all his tactics in a ring. He got whipped.:(
Thanks for sharing. Great to the point video, without all the Bla Bla Bla context so the kids understand. Another technique added to the options catalogue. It is good to know about preemptively ways of control and avoid a potential physical conflict. The surprise factor is the Key here. Excellent. Thks again.
Damn dude how long does he have to tap before you release? I can think of some limited circumstances where this could be applied, but ease up on the dude you're demonstrating it on!
Fred Mastro would make Subzero cry! damn!
He's fine, don't worry. Enough with the negativity, stay positive. I mean maybe before this video the instructor might've asked the person if he's ok being use as a subject for this video if he says no, either the video might not be recorded, or you would see a different person. I've also been used as a subject for demonstration, it hurts, however, it shows the effect on the audience. Some people will say, "oh the subject tap to the instructor, but he didn't let go" I've seen masters/instructor going a bit extreme to their students, but like I said the instructor must've asked permission before doing this.
I wouldn't like to mess with the man!
Grandes maestro muy buen video saludos
The one thing I don't like about Mastro is how excessively rough he is, all good to ally a technique but you don't have to be excessive.
Agreed. It's mostly for show.
How to attack a man on a bench.
Drunk people do not respond to pain the same as sober people
That is good stuff ..
Poor bastard.
That master is pretty sadistic..
😌
Get more awesome videos,great job.
if I ever meet Fred I'm going to keep my distance and nod an wave
FKN BRUTAL!!!! Love it!
Sorry but where is the technique of attacking a guy who is sitting down?? Why does he deserve to be attacked like this? Because he talked shit? This goes against every martial art I have ever been involved with. Attacking someone in a prone position is a nono. Unless you want to be an aggressor, then why would you need this? Arent we taught to NOT to attack people who are in a weak position?? I dont comprehend this lesson.
It's more for security personnel like bouncers and such
Maybe my imagination is lacking but I can't see it. The whole exercise looks like attaxking soneone who is passively resisting. In which case, as a bouncer, I woukd call the police. Thats not my job. I'm just having trouble with this scenario, lol is it just me??
Ya i can see where it looks like its just bullying, but imagine its 3am, and some disorderly drunk man is sitting outside a club verbally harassing people, in that situation i can see where some of these techniques would come in handy, in my personal opinion some of the situations shown were a bit to rough, but hey you gotta do what you gotta do.
Bill Mahany I understand that concept but damn, it looks like fucking someone up who is innocent.
Bill Mahany I do see your point, btw.
Very nice because i dont know if he dies or not ...
this guy is fucking dangerous, i would not wanna bump heads with you my friend!!
whats the hold he does when he pulls him up where does he grab?
Thats my chair!
BJ'S intervention was a little rougher than most but we're sure he's decided to stop drinking after this.
That's scary amazing!
It must be nice to never have to grow up, lol. These guys seem like they're having way too much fun getting to know themselves ;)
OK, so you got him out of the chair. But then he ended up on the ground. What good is that? The more common way to get someone up is to simply put a wrist lock on him. This works just fine, is much simpler, and is less abusive. It also enables you to walk him wherever you need to take him.
So why attack a sitting person?!
One way to deal with Fred don't let him get near enough to use that shit.
Some good techniques, but didnt get the last one with the punches to the shoulders... im assuming there would be some movement from the guy on the bench after first punch.
There wouldn't be much movement if he is drunk. Only excruciating and paralyzing pain.
I've pulled the head twist off for real to snatch a feller out of the bar one time who was extremely drunk and trying to start a fist fight. Works. Also works if he isn't drunk or compliant as long as you clean his clock first. The whole grabbing the skin for pain compliance is not realistic. Rarely do they or druggies feel anything. You have to manipulate his balance and his skeleton via the head and neck at least in my limited experience. Don't expect him to sit there and take it either. He'll be reaching for whatever is around or he'll be screaming trying to get people to sympathize and help if not reaching for the pocket knife he smuggled in. The people making comments that it's senseless violence haven't ever tried to snatch someone out of a vehicle or chair. Its not easy and the only way to do it is clean his clock and twist his head or grab his cloths and turn him around as best you can it doesn't happen this quickly. Grabbing his arms or legs does not work.
This guy beats the hell out of his demonstration partners. I've seen it in a couple of these videos, and it seems more than a little unprofessional to me. What's more, I don't think this technique would be as effective against someone that actually knows how to fight. They'd come off the bench into you with the power of both legs. Then you're airborne. I mean who holds on to their chair in a fight? It doesn't make sense. Also, who lets someone loom over them like that in a confrontation? Anyway, I got lots of problems with this scenario.
Thom Curry this is if the guy is drunk not if the guy is sober
I'm talking about how he treats his demonstration partners.
Lol! Dude, you can demonstrate techniques without torturing your demo partner.
Thom Curry no pain you make no mistakes the next time. Don't volunteer thats the mistake.
Training isn't a real world scenario, and advanced level sparring should be done with advanced level partners. You don't beat up some novice to look impressive on the camera. I just disagree with you completely.
its doug from that blacksmithing program
Fucking amazing!!!! I applaud your skill!!!
Damm you can at least go soft on him? it's not like he's actually trying to fight back
thethijsy How you train is how you're going to do it in the real world.
Fred doesn't know how. He's tried.
The ending was epic very interesting style hope to see more of this
Où exactement sur la joue serrez-vous ?
LOL that punch hurt... sad BJ
This guy likes to cause pain, no doubt about that. Took every second, and every oportunity to make this "lesson" as bad as possible for this "student".
Badassary!!
Do you ever show training where people fight back from "fair" non set up positions
guau!! very good!!!
When he took the guys shades off him tho :) quality! Fred is a dangerous man!
Dude is a lethal weapon and this stuff is great to see. Would love to see it real world applied, but damn dude... When he's obviously tapping stop. There is no excuse what so ever to not stop immediately when that happens.
Being overly aggressive helps sell this nonsensical technique as "effective."
You will never see real-world application of this technique... Because any human being with one month of MMA training would dump this guy on his head with a hip toss
Don't make that man mad at you.
No offense, but why would you ever want to attack someone who's sitting down? If this is used against someone who's about to start attacking from a seated position, that's a different story.
hippies
thats what Im wondering
Using techniques like this against hippies staging a sit down protest or a non aggressive person refusing an instruction from security to leave will see you done for excessive force/assault.
I think this is more targeted towards security personnel, like bouncers etc.
A lot of time people do some shit and them sit down. Here is where you enter to prevent any injury in the future. Like fights with broken bottle and other drunk people things.
I wish there was more detail in their instructions.
Bouncer or not, it is hard to say someone is being "disorderly" if they are just sitting! If someone is just running their mouth and you do this, it's call assault!!! Cool tactics but this is a dick move to use on a guy that is just sitting and hurting nothing more then a bouncers ego with his words
hold the bench..hold the bench!! Rofl
Lol! Very helpful!
Iam walking down the beer isle looking for a sparing session
Poor guy did you buy him lunch lmao
U r amazing
Gret sir
Eccezionale
Brutally effective when the situation warrants it. Perhaps if more LEOs had these types of techniqques in their toolbox, questionable shootings would occur less often. They would be more confident and less likely to escalate to deadly force. Be Well
He's got teeth... Use them!
Ou peut on l acheter
Mis respetos para el ayudante
Got damn.
Stay tuned for the next video on how to get sued to oblivion.
Is that Doug in the backround?
I have never seen him show a technique and have the OTHER person do it to him... you know to prove how effective it is.... hmmmm
whats the lesson learnt? dont take what u can give back .
