➤Healthy oatmeal bread buns recipe:
➤Ingredients:
110g (1Cup) Oatmeal Flour
2tbsp Psyllium Husk Powder
¼ tsp Salt
210 ml Warm Water
1 Tsp Apple Vinegar
1Tsp Active Dry Yeast
1Tbsp Olive Oil
1Tbsp Mediterranean Spices (optional)
Sesame Seeds for sprinkling on top (optional)
➤Preparation :
• put oatmeal flour, psyllium husk powder, active dry yeast, salt, and Mediterranean Spices (optional) in a bowl and mix it all together.
•Add warm water, olive oil, and a tsp of apple vinegar and mix well. Leave the dough to soak for 20 minutes.
• Form the dough into a ball and divide it into 6 smaller balls (It will be better to oil your hands a little, as the dough is sticky and this is the easiest way to make balls).
• Dip the ball into the sesame seeds and put in a prepared muffin pan (sesame seeds must be on top)
•Bake for 35 minutes on 200°C ( 392F )
•Bon Apetit!

Have tried the recipe and it is the best bread I have ever made. It didn’t work using flax so I will stick to Psyllium Husk as it is great.
That's easy !! Will try
How beautiful imagine that on your Thanksgiving thank you so much
Ok I just made these and they turned out great! It’s crazy that it actually works so well! But next time I will add a tiny bit of sweetener to make it taste a bit more like bread. Thanks for the recipe
Just made these and they’re wonderful!
Thank you Sandra😀
Fantastic yumm...making them TODAY!!! 🙂👍
Thanks Suzy!
What a great recipe! I wish the psyllium husk measurement was also in grams because between powder and different sizes of husks, it can make a big difference. Thanks for the recipe. I will make it soon.
I love this recipe I put it in my mini loaf pan comes out perfect every time and also keeps soft and fresh 😊
Thank you Patricia!
Please give the size of your mini oaf pan. Thanks @@RisingYeastRecipes

A question. If I double the recipe ingredients, how long do I keep in the oven and does the temp 200 degrees remain or is it diff ?
I've been using psyllium husk powder to make pudding, and I've wanted to know if I can make bread with it. Thank you so much for the recipe!
I have never heard this about. Thank you. What is its role in baking bread or making pudding?
As I know it is a kind of medication as laxative
Thank you for this recipe ,came out excellent ,I used flax seed pwd.☺️👌much appreciated ,regards South Africa 🇿🇦🌍💕
Hey there, thanks for commenting, very glad that you liked it!
You mean flax instead of physsilium?
@@thinkgood7412 🤗,yes the flax seeds were powdered and used instead of phylum, thank u again for this recipe ,enjoy making bread buns ,love South Africa 💜🌍🇿🇦🌠
@@rinamaharajh2557 hey it's not my recipe. But you taught me to look for substitutes. I didn't have pysillium and thought I couldn't make it and never thought of flax or chia or similar binders even an egg!
Can you make a single loaf bread out of this recipe, will it cook well in the middle. Thanks nice recipe. I want to try loaf if possible
Maybe you should try it?
I wonder if it works with rice flour.🤔
I replace psyllium husk with equal amount of ground flaxseed meal. I then airfry it at 185 Celsius for 30 mins. The inside turns out uncooked.. any suggestions?
Hey Aircon, maybe you should bake it longer.., sorry I never tried it with flaxseed meal..
Looks great! is there any alternative to psyllium husk powder I can use?
Hey Lavie, try with ground flax seeds.
@@RisingYeastRecipes thank you for this answer, could you tell us the quantity of ground flax seeds, and whether we add them dry or previously mixed with water to form a gel?
@@RisingYeastRecipes hi if I use eggs how many will I use? I'm guessing one large?
Hi, thank you for the recipe! Question - do they need to rise before baking?
No, you can put them straight in the oven.🙂
Hi. Can I substitute the psyllium powder with an egg? Thank you.
Hey there, well that's just a whole new recipe...you have to reduce water, and It won't be that puffy anymore....try it, and let me know how it turns out.
these looks great but what can i replace the psyllium husk with? I am extremely allergic to it.
Hey there, instead you can add chia or flax seed but probably won' t be the same...
@@RisingYeastRecipes oh rats you are probably right
Hi can i skip apple cinegar? And can u give information the function of apple vinegar in this bread? Pls answer my question
Hi, Tia! Initially, I always prepared this bread without apple cider, but it always had a distinctive aroma. The psyllium husk was the case. I've read once, that if you add apple cider, you can get rid of the smell and improve bread rising. And it really works! My answer is yes, you can skip the apple vinegar.
What vinegar did you use? It gave your bun abeautiful colour.
Apple vinegar😊
Could I replace the oat flour with oat fibre? Recipe looks amazing btw 😊
Hi Sapphire , maybe you should try it, I never did.😊 Let me know!
From where can I purchase 'Apple Vinegar" ?It is not available at Amazon & Flipcart.
Apple cider vinagar..
I buy apple cider vinegar at the local supermarket
Can we bake it in microwave oven, in micowave mode? please reply. Thanks.
Everything is possible, maybe you should try it.
Is the psyllium husk powder obligatory? I don't know what that is.
Hey Jean, yes it is. 😀
Is it psyllum powder you used or the husk... the video looks like the husk, but it's powder written in the description.
Hi Biba, in my opinion it doesn't matter whether you use powder or husk, only powder thickens earlier, the amount is the same.😊
@@RisingYeastRecipes okay, thank you..
If i don't have d husk can i use ground flax seed?
Sorry It won't be the same...it will fall apart.
Hi, can I use sorghum flour instead of oatmeal in this recipe pls suggest
It's hard to give advice because I haven't tried it, sorry.
Is there a substitute for Apple vinegar?
Hello Shanti, you can use rice vinegar, white wine vinegar or red wine vinegar... you can try with lemon juice also!
Looks good but could someone tell me what Mediterranean spices are please
Hey Zefeira, It's a mixture of herbs like rosemary, thyme , parsley root, oregano and sage.
Have you ever put it in a loaf tin and made sandwich bread?
Sorry, I haven't.
Can i use groud chia seeds instead of psyllium husk?
Hi there, never tried it, please let me know😊
Brilliant recipe, they look perfect for dipping into soup.
What is the purpose of the apple cider vinegar, is it for taste?
Yes, exactly
Please tell me how do I use this recipe in microwave?
Sorry I never tried it in a microwave, but I have this delicious bread recipe for you...look that link: 90 Second Low Carb Bread ruclips.net/video/6jZL4nzyVco/видео.html
Does this work for gluten free oats as well?? I cannot tolerate gluten.
Yes i think so.
I did everything step by step like in the video and the inside stayed completely raw.
So sad that it didn t work out for you.
Same
Same
If I don't have psyllium Husk, Can I make this recipe?
Hi there, sorry it is not possible😊
Please help me. I made these buns, because I had Apple Cider Vinegar, I did not use it. I used ordinary white vinegar. It gave good results. The buns turned out to be exactly like yours soft& tastey. But their colour was not yellow. It was the usual oats colour. I searched for Apple Vinegar on Amazon . Only Patanjali had Apple vinegar. All others are Apple Cider Vinegar. Looking at its composition, Apple Cider Vinegar, has only5% vinegar, rest Flavouring. I am confused, can I use Apple Cider Vinegar with similar results. Please do reply. Thanks
Hey Usha, there is no problem if you used white vinegar...It's ok😊
Everything I cook them they are not cooked completely in the middle... also I can use seeds on the outside and they turn out dark brown and hard on outside.....HELP made twice anand comes out the same both times.....
Maybe the oven was too hot..It sounds to me that this might be a problem?
@@RisingYeastRecipes sorry I also meant to say that I can't have seeds on the outside..hate spell check... always changes my words
Can we make similar buns using Whole Wheat Flour/ Shorgum Flour. Please reply. Thanks.
Hey there, maybe you should try this ruclips.net/video/58pDzgMYddk/видео.html , let me know !😊
Can I replace psyllium with another ingredient
Maybe try it with 2 eggs and reduce water (50-100 ml ). The batter must be the same like in video..
Is it supposed to be gooey from the inside?
Hey there, it should be moist and fluffy and not runny.
I’m a little puzzled about the use of yeast in this recipe. Yeast needs gluten and it does not react with gluten free flour. Also what is the purpose of vinegar?
Adding vinegair to the bread dough can help with good rise, moist crumb, airy texture, and in this case also reduces unpleasant taste (for some ).
I also was sure yeast doesn't work with gluten free flour until one day when my focaccia doubled in 1 hour
@@martadjt6920 Oat focaccia?
@@homasorooshi5023 I did rice focaccia. And yes, this oats recipe also raised as hell. Even tho it was soggy after baking and I dropped it, but the yeast worked hahah
Gluten is a protein naturally found in wheat, barley and rye. Yeasts feed on sugar and starches. 🙂
Can we make it using oat flour br grinding rolled oats? Please do reply, as I want to make it, but I have only rolled oats in the house.. Thanks.
Hey Usha, yes, grind it in a coffee grinder or powerfull mixer😊
@@RisingYeastRecipes Ihanks.
Can you stuff these before baking?
Hey Jennifer, maybe you should try it, but I think it will be soggy😊

That's not psyllium husk powder, it's just psyllium husks, isn't it?
In my country this is psyllium powder...😊
Can we make it toast
Try it, I never did...and of course let me know...😊
@@RisingYeastRecipes Iwill try it thanks again
Just tried this recipe and it was complete failure, top was well cooked but inside was gooey and slimy. Will try again with less water.
good catch.👍
Hey Faraz, sorry It didn't work out for you.
Faraz Heya! if the top is cooked n inside didn't then try lowering the cooking/baking temp , quantity of water might be prob a problem too. Just check which one works for you.
It was a disaster, too wet to make into balls.
So sorry to hear that...
Im so disappointed at this recipe.
Just wasted my ingredients
Hey Grace, so sorry to hear that, please share what happened🙂
@@RisingYeastRecipes I put it in a loaf pan, bake for 40 mins. The up was OK while the inside was still liquidly.
@@graceakpan3284 - this happened to me as well. it was gooey in the middle. Perhaps I needed a hotter oven or leave it a little longer in the oven to bake
@@karenparsons9942 So sorry about that but I don't think you need a hotter oven cause I used industrial oven which is very hot and also I leave it in the oven longer but it was still not OK.
I think the problem is from the recipe
Same, I tried it again with less water, tried it with higher heat, tried to leave it longer in the oven, none of these worked.
