    I didn't understand how complex those rocker boxes are. The boxes on my Kawasaki Vulcan have leaked a little through the years, and one day I'll get a gasket kit to try to fix that problem.

    Great instruction in this video. I have a 1998 FLSTF. When it starts it runs rough and will not idle without the choke slightly closed. Also the rear cylinder runs cold to the point I can put my hand on it. The cylinder is getting fire, so I'm thinking bent pushrod or broken rocker arm. I've not opened up the engine yet to find out. What is your thoughts.

      @Renegade83 3 года назад +1

      Rear cylinder internal issue for sure. Check the pushrods, rocker arms, tappets an possible valve guide seal if it's got black smoke

    I have a question. The little plug that you put in the rear hole of the front head. What hole does the back head plug go in?

      He has a few other tricks up his sleeve he plans on making videos on. If you need help sooner choose and option below!
      That’s a great question for Shane directly! We are just the social media team. Shane does answer questions when he get's back around to non members eventually so hang tight, FYI >>>> he does member ones daily!
      He just returned from overseas training techs and his inbox is slammed with requests. He is scheduling time each day again to answer techline orders. He does not have the bandwidth to provide free email replies as his schedule is full with shop customers, training schedules, and one on ones.
      There's good news though! Shane has 2 solutions for you. One is a deep dive one-on-one with him with video, email and phone support. The other is a "quick fan support" option when it's a quick answer and just helps support the time for him to stop wrenching or training and get you in the direction that a free video had you close. Aren't they hydraulic lifters on a Evo?

    • @How2Wrench

      Yes. Adjustables are for a bigger cam or cam swaps without having to take the top end rocker boxes off. My Twin Cam series is much more modern and I'm redoing the EVO series
