Unrelated but have u ever read tsukihime?, since u love having to feel towards the characters u love in fiction it's worth reading, and there's a remake of it coming just about 2 days away. Btw your vids on higurashi is what actually led me to your channel, keep up the good work.
"Growth doesn't have to be reinvention. It's less about becoming someone new, instead, it's more about building a relationship with the person you already are."
Sound Euphonium is so human. It comes with all the emotions that come with living no matter how painful or happy it may be. Even the music is so beautifully human that you just can't help but stop everything and listen. You captured how Hibike Euphonium feels and all the themes it was trying to show. Thank you so much
What a wonderful ode to Sound Euphonium! This series is already one of my favorites and near to my heart, and you've brought a new perspective which just deepened my love for it! Thank you for sharing your views on this wonderful series with us!
I love watching your video's so much, even if you do them on shows I've personally never seen. I love listening to you explaining how something impacted you, and then going out of your way to share it with the rest of the world. Your explanations, you use of words, they're so powerful. You've made me care for a show I haven't even seen yet. You've given me a chance to look at the world, differently. Especially with that last quote. That pain is a privilege, that it means we have something or someone to hurt for. Beautiful, absolutely beautiful. I enjoy your content so much, please never stop creating these :]
In regard to Liz and the blue bird: The problem when talking about relationships with a bunch of otaku is that a lot of times everything becomes binary. What i like about this film is that it is everything but that, the feelings from both protagonists are very complex and layered. Nozomi absolutley feels some type of "love" for Mizore but she also feels jealousy and has insecurities mixed with it, Mizore on the other hand has a more absolute form of love but also an un-healthy co dependency attached to it. What i find beautiful about this movie is that they are able to fix their relationship because it was unhealty for both, whatever kind of relationship they developed at the end of the movie or after the movie doenst matter as much what mattered was that they were both able to give each other room to grow and to seek their full potencial without losing touch with each other.
Gosh, what you said about Eupho’s message being conflict is important is so key and also what made Higurashi Sotsu so incredibly regrettable. That entire show seemed to be about people avoiding conflict and then at the end disconnecting from their human selves in an act of even more avoidance.
Nice work. I saw Asuka as a substitute sister to Kumiko. Someone that she could fight with and look up to at the same time. Someone that she could enjoy playing with. There is a connection that the production shows the viewer. How many of Asuka's friends were ever invited over to her house.
Thank you for yet another moving, vulnerable, and needed story related to us through your own lens. You have given insight and interest to me for a piece I have never seen before, but now wish to.
I'm a guy so I can't relate to a girl's experiences in school and adolescents but I appreciate the Anime as a whole . I more or less took in the themes universally.
