Thanks for watching!
All the best!
Dusan
Had to watch again. Congrats on getting the cockpit interior closer to the bronze green (or apple green) that the manufacturer actually used. I'm glad that you built it as most us would build it....such as not having to use blueprints to apply rivets to all the surfaces. I'm also pleased to see that you applied the silver pain directly to the plastic's surface, without primer and a lot of pre-shading. Just had to say that I enjoyed it a second time just as much, if not more. Keep up with the good work!
Beautiful looking P-47 Dusan.
I love the Thunderbolt, it was a rugged airplane!! I watched an interview with a former P47 pilot who dropped a bomb into an open
turret of a Tiger Tank, he said that was a bad day for that German tank
crew!!
Outstanding video!!! I would like to see A7k corsair from HB
Excellent video and job building and painting your Eduard 1/32 P-47D Thunderbolt "Dottie May" too!!
Nice video I love P-47.
So beautiful...
1/32 is the queen of scales. What a beauty ! You are an artist, well done for your videos which remind me of my youth.
I'm glad you did this one very nice build love the lady nice touch looking forward to seeing more from you soon ⛄
Happy Holidays and thank you for this Excellent P-47 Build 😍👍🎄🎁
Great build, thanks for sharing and happy holidays👍
Beautiful!! Brilliant!
nice work Dusan!
Greetings from UpperAustria
Great work 👍
Beautifully done.
I hope everyone had a great Christmas.
I had forgotten that I had this kit waiting for me in the basement storeroom. Thank you for such a straight forward build. The results look great, although I realize that not every detail of the build was shown in your video. The figure of the model for Dottie was a nice touch!
Great job!
Great build as always Dusan! I like your beer choice :-)
Beautiful build! Merry Christmas !
Merry Christmas to you too...(ok, I'm late...sorry but Happy new year to you and your family (just in time!))
Hugs.
Awesome job!!!! :)
Very nice ,happy Christmas.
Thanks for sharing this build and great work as always - quite a reminder, as my father flew the P-47D over Germany in WWII and years ago I built the Hasegawa kit in his exact markings as a gift
Great build!!!-Love the 1/32 Eduards!!
As someone who has been lucky enough to see Dottie Mae in person, and watch her fly, you did an outstanding job! I need to hunt this kit down!
Excellent build 👍
Dusan, I have been following your builds, ever since DAY 1. You've never let us down with your skills, abilities and talent!..........I hope you had a "Wonderful Christmas!" 🎄😄
Stunning build. Look forward to your up and coming builds. Happy Christmas and have a great New Year
Great build as always! Now I'm kicking my head into the wall that I haven't got this kit when it was available....
Beautiful clean build
I have loved the Thunderbolt since about 1969 or '70, when I was in elementary school and read the book by Robert S. Johnson. You did a very fine job, Dusan, and I'm sure the owner will be very proud to have it! Just one comment, though -- the zinc chromate primer would have been the same color throughout the aircraft -- the interior of the cockpit and the inside of the wheel wells, the gun compartments, etc., even the inside of the engine cowling. At least, all of the full-scale ones that I have seen have been. I need to find one of these Hasegawa kits. The last 1/32 P-47 I built was a Revell in 1977 or so, and it looked like a rivet farm!
I guess in the time period of the war they never left the zinc chromate primer visible in the cockpit, it was overcoated with interioir green, in the p-47 dark dull green (with the exception of the G variant wich was manufactured by Curtiss and had interior green cockpit), or later flat black. Aircrafts after restoration these days may show differences in this regard, so I never take them as a reference for historically correct builds.
The interior of the aircraft frame was painted zinc chromate as a preservative, which is a yellow-green colour.
The cockpit was painted interior green, a darker colour as shown here.
Wartime. Supply. Paint batch lot's. Different paint manufacturers. Different shifts on the factory floor at various stages of assembly. Outsourcing. Have a good think about it. The interior colour variations involved were not being adhered to according to the strictest adhesion coupled with with the added front line demand and variables. Then consider the evolving upgrade specifications. Let's not discuss exterior variations of the O.D. used on earlier versions. Go well, keep your mind open and unrestricted by limiting parameters - it is a model aircraft after all, isn't it. Sincere and warm regards from Tuckombil via Alstonville and East Ballina 800km north of Sydney, Australia. MATE 🤙
Outstanding build..... 👌
Every build I have seen you do has been amazing and this one is no exception! LOVE IT!
Always an amazing finished product! Merry Christmas!
Phenomenal work on this one, love the NMF !
Its very rare I subscribe to anything but I enjoy watching your work Dusan. I also enjoy the music jingles that accompany your videos and would love to know the source of these. I would also like to see your skills employed to other manufacturers products such as 1/48 Airfix Defiant, Hurricane and Anson etc. All the very best for the coming season.
Thanks you so much for your kind words! All the best! PS: I do have many Airfix kits in my stash
as always, superb skill, and nice holidays shirts!
Such an amazing build, love it. Merry Christmas..☃️🎄
Just amazing
Awesome job, I am amazed at the finished product and how it looks so authentic, I’m a model builder but I don’t have the knowledge of how to make them look like that, I usually build in 1/48 scale, but I think I’m going to get that one
très belle realisation superbe thunderbolt
As always your builds never disappoint. Merry X-mas and a happy New year to you and family.
Lovely work as always.
Another awesome build of a very iconic aircraft!
Brilliant model!? and not a bad Christmas shirt either. Best wishes to you for Christmas and happy new year from NZ
Excellent job Dusan. The final effect is great.
Stunning work!
another EXCELLENT build and loveley color scheme happy new year dusan
Astounding video. The quality is sublime, new Xmas gift ...... different camera ? Anyway, greatly appreciated and awesome video. Best of the Festive Season to you and Happy new Year
Gorgeous. So glad I have this kit. May try and start it next week
Can’t say enough about Tamiya rattle cans… amazing build!! ❤
Wishing you a Happy and even more sucessful 2023! Amazing work as always!! 🙂👍👍
Excellent Job!👍👍👍
Very fine work on the Thunderbolt mate 🙂👍🔥
Just might have to pick that one up. 1/48 is great, but I’d sure be interested in a 1/32
Love your build sir
What a great build 👏. I mostly do 1:48 aircraft, but Need to do at least one in 1:32 🙂.
Will model "survive" trip to US?
Nicely done Thunderbolt.
Very nice build. Not overly weathered like many model builders do in my opinion. Love the 1/32 scale stuff.
That was great!!!!!!
Watching these videos is sort of addicting..
Very cool the actual Dottie Mae lives about 5 miles from me.
10:30 that prop is enormous in 1/32 .........looks more like something off a helicopter ! What a beautiful job !
Fantastic build Dusan as usual
I wish that kit was still available
Excelent idea 💡, work with a cup of good wine 🍷😅
Moin Dusan, what a nice beautiful kit of the P-47. Excellent build! I have a question: could you tell me the manufacturer of the 4side sanding block? thank you and Merry Christmas from Hamburg.
They're not that hard to make by gluing strips of sand paper to square-section wood scrap. If you make it then you can choose the grits you use, like medium grits on one stick and fine/polishing grinds on another.
excellent build, great result. Do you have any plans for remaining decals?
Apart from rivet detail, what more can a new tool provide... Between Eduard and a few other after-market companies I really don't think the Hasagawa kit can be bettered... Especially for the price
Fantastic job on the build. Truly enjoy your workmanship on detail. I have a question...do you know if this kit is available in the United States? Happy Holidays and have a safe New Years! Cheers!
It should be if you can find one still available. A lot of Eduard kits like this one are limited runs. Eduards website ships to the US I believe.
Once again my friend... stunning build! Are all the kits in the final of the video in your stage? I will love to see you building a Prowler... but I'm gonna tell you ingineering is a piece of work with kinetic A6 and EA6B... cheers from Argentina and merry christmas!
Hello sir,
very nice work!
can you say me what do you have use for metallic color? Thank you
Good work Dusan Which compressor are you using
Why not airbrush the metal colors on as well? Tamyia rattle cans always have that orange peel look after drying. Great build though! I'm going shopping today to get back into scale models after 16 years
I'm glad to hear that! Well, I like 2 work with spray cans. I don't have that experience unless it's an very old spray can. Anyway decanting is an option. Thank you!
Can you answer this question? What is the best quality and preference company in Model Kit?
When you apply the spray can coats of silver, how long do you wait between applications? Also, Have you considered the Trumpeter 1/32 P-47? Not exactly new tooling but, it is a change up.
been looking for one of these kits for a while now. Where do you find these things?
They are limited production kits so they get swept uo and you have to find resellers on the Internet. That's a shame because anything you can't get at a hobby shop makes it harder to keep shops open.
Is it possible you can send information about the equipment you use?
..клааасссс!..
👍👍
Do you have the link to where I can buy the figurine ? I'd like to get some
Whatt was the mix you used for the interior?
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
1:00 Is it painted on etched metal?? 🤨
If you had primed the fuselage white first it would have been shinier.
🤝👍⚒🎥👏
I disagree with you interpretation of panel colours on natural finish aircraft. There are colour and tone differences because the panels are produced separately and then mounted. Also, some panels are regularly removed for service and others are never removed, so there are differences in wear and finish.
So you comment about blending natural.metal panels together makes me wonder why.
Brilliant build which brings this big rugged bird to life!
Quote from the video: "I doesn't like it" - it's his personal choice. I personally do not like "dirty" models too, for me dirt is just dirt, it doesn't equal realism. It's refreshing to see youtuber who doesn't put shit all over his kits. I lived close to millitary base once and soldiers there seemed to spend 90% of their time washing their already spotless tanks even more clean.
N.M.F.?
Natural metal finish
Nice work! Congratulations! But why is the figurine soooo shiny??? It's total non realistic for me.. And her skin tone is very weird too.
El famoso c,a americano P-47 Thunderbolt con 8 ametralladoras de 12'7mm que ayudo a ganar la segunda guerra mundial en Europa contra los alemanes. En el pacífico contra los japoneses se uso menos.
Grate job👍
