Thank you very much for building this for me in honor of my late woman. I miss her dearly. Who knows, she just may take a ride in this when i put it on display. And i have a perfect place to put it. Very stunning and beautiful work. I love the detail work that you have done as with all of the models that you have built. Absolutely amazing work on it. Thank you again.
Excellent job! A fine scale replica of such a powerful and rugged fighter. Still cant get to grips just how huge those baby's were! Pictures dont do them justice. Its only when you stand next to one you realize just what a monster this fighter was.....
I have two of these at this scale. I've been so excited to start building them. This video has solved some concerns I had. Thanks for sharing your tips and tricks. Time to get started.
David R Lentz, Columbus, Ohio, USA (Tuesday, 16 July, 2024) Whose kit is Eduard using for their re-issue? Or have they begun making their own models? I am curious about good-quality 1:32nd-scale kits of the Republic P-47D (Razorback), -D (bubble canopy), and -M Thunderbolt USAAF Fighter. At 7:04, the photo-etch “sunburst” shape is completely incorrect, in a manner I call “false two-dimensionality”: the components of the PE part in actuality are push rods (long, narrow, metal tubes or dowels) and spark plug wires, both circular in cross section. In this scale, the kit ought to include a part forming the ring and the rods (or perhaps several, that one can make two rods per cylinder). Frankly, Eduard is a generally very good, eclectic company, and they ought to have known better: a flat strip of metal is not cylindrical! Alternately, one could acquire an aftermarket replacement for the Pratt & Whitney R-2800 Double Wasp, radial, 18-cylinder, twin-row, air-cooled, water-boosted, turbo-supercharged, 2,000 hp (1,491.4 kW), 2,800 cu in. (45.9 L), reciprocating piston aircraft engine; made either of cast resin or 3D-printed plastic. Also, I ask model designers and kit makers, regarding the part representing open cowl flaps, to include on the sprue immediately beside it an alternate piece that has the cowl flaps in the closed position, for us who prefer to build our aircraft replicas in flight; please and thank you. Whilst I have the attention of the kit designers and makers, my request also includes 2) a figurine of a pilot or an aviator sitting in the seat (molded to fit properly, such that our flyboy looks like he actually is flying the airplane!), 3) separate parts to represent the landing gear doors closed over their respective wheel wells, 4) separate flight control surfaces (ailerons, horizontal and vertical stabilisers, etc.) that one can pose in various positions corresponding to ærial manœuvres (climbing, diving, combat engagement, etc.); 5) alternate cockpit fixtures to indicate flight performance.
Stunning job. I have this kit ready to be built.... and also the P40 Warhawk. Can you tell me where you got the "profile cutting template" that you use at 8:43??
Woke up at 4AM, flipped thru some RUclips on my iPad so I could fall back to sleep. Watched the whole video, now I’m responding! I build and fly 1/4 -1/3 scale RC aircraft. Must figure out how to scale up your techniques! Great photography too! Have you considered doing regular speed videos on select portions of the aircraft and/or specific techniques? Now back to sleep! SJ
Very enjoyable post. thanks for sharing some of your techniques. Eduard kits are amazing in detail. outa my price-range, but I still like to look. U got a sub & thumbs up from me. don't know why any thumbs down. looked very nice to me.
Nice but there was no black on the fin and tailplane. Also missing the 'Mae' from 'Dottie Mae'. Also is was a 'C; on the starboard rudder tab as it belonged to C Flight, 511FS, 405FG. 9AF. Got it on the port correct but not the other.
Hello, I follow your work and videos with a great respect, your models are amazing I saw that you used AK-series metallic paints at the related video given above. I would have a question:Did you used some varnish layer or anything else before masking tape applying to prevent that the metallic paint doesn't peel up? İf you used some preventatives, could you may share these with me? My own experience was that the metallic paint peeled up after apllying the masking tape.I would be pleased about your answer.
Back when i built that one i think i used some clear varnish yes, but today i would use the alclad aqua gloss varnish, its great and safe for all metallic surfaces
i have never tried the AK metallic paints before. Is there any problem going from a metallic to non-metallic paint in the same airbrush? I only have one airbrush and I am planning an F-86 Sabre build which will necessitate a metallic paint.
no, but with AK Xtreme metal you must be very careful, i mean you can use any pressure and velocity, but you need to spray it over a very clean surface, it dosnt require a primer, but if you want prime you need to prime with black gloss for better mettalic effect, and after, i suggest using acrylic clear varnish
Nice build but the model is seriously lacking in detail. Thumbs up for the build but next time try Tamiya. Pricey but worth it. I have the MkXVI Spitfire by Tamiya and the detail is exquisite.
Lol I love how Germans, Brits, and Japanese tried to camouflage their planes, and then here come the Americans in chrome-finished airplanes with naked ladies painted on the side. God bless America :') hahahahaha
Can’t believe you had to scribe panels considering the cost of the kit. Also I would also have thought there would have been some gun bay details. You did a great job though.
I made this Model kit for my friend who lost his beloved one. Her name was Dorothy and he asked me not put Mae. I hope you will understand that. Thank you.
Great Build---But Main landing gear (Rims and Tires) unless its a camera angle seems to be kinda far out on the main gear strut axels? in other words closer to the main gear doors.....Minor but very noticeable..scale 1-10 I give you a 8.5........
Seriously, what the hell? Are you really going to complain about the music? And not just admire the work? Turn the volume off if you dont like it. Or are you one of those guys that just like to complain about something or everything?
Thank you very much for building this for me in honor of my late woman. I miss her dearly. Who knows, she just may take a ride in this when i put it on display. And i have a perfect place to put it. You're most welcome
Excellent job! A fine scale replica of such a powerful and rugged fighter. Still cant get to grips just how huge those baby's were! Pictures dont do them justice. Its only when you stand next to one you realize just what a monster this fighter was.....
Great video, beautiful work and finally music that is decent to listen to when watching the video.
Love the music . That is the way to build models , and do paintings . Thank you .
I have two of these at this scale. I've been so excited to start building them. This video has solved some concerns I had. Thanks for sharing your tips and tricks. Time to get started.
I don't know what I like best...the fantastic build of the awesome music soundtrack!
Thank you !
Excellent model building. I watched the whole video. You have great skills.
Thank you sir! 🤘🤘
Very scale accurate ending there, especially the bangs.
Never built many wingy things myself over the years, but I know quality work when I see it. Really nice T-Bolt, super clean, for sure.
I never Build Many armor stuff but now it's time :)
There's no doubt in my mind that it will be an awesome build.
Wow, that's pretty sick! I have an rc P-47 and I could use just 5% of what you show here and make it look almost real, nice work!
Beautiful build, the realism is fantastic, nicely done!!!
One of the best builds I’ve seen so far.......!👀😎
Good show, good sound, enjoyable session!
Blimey ! - background music that I could almost enjoy listening to.
Gorgeous!! Keep up the good work!! Cheers from Patagonia!!
Thank you very much !!
From the simplest beginnings... 😀
Super job on this build. Yes Sir, P47, bulldog of an aircraft, took a licking and kept on ticking 👍👍👍😎😎😎
Really enjoyable video, beautiful work👏👏
Great job! A very enjoyable video and a display of artistry.
Nice work here on the model, the orchestra intro is epic :)
Killer job getting ready to start that same kit this weekend🤟😎🤟
Thank you mate!

I really think this is your best work! Just Beautiful!
Thanks!
If I was flying that plane back then, I'd have it washed and detailed once a week.
Stunning job. I have this kit ready to be built.... and also the P40 Warhawk. Can you tell me where you got the "profile cutting template" that you use at 8:43??
Молодец, парень !) Мои комплименты. ) Прекрасная работа! )

I will think about it, maybe I should do a technique tutorial videos at some point. Goodnight :)
Great lighting at the end. Really sells the model. The aircraft wasn’t bad neither! 😂
Muy buen trabajo me gusta mucho 👍👍👍.
y la música sensacional.
Beautiful model!
Special type of glue that works overtop of paint?
out standing build very well done
I kinda like the music. Excellent video of your fantastic build!
I want to know the names of the music.
Amazing. Thanks for sharing.
Missing part of the noise art? Supposed to be “Dottie Mae” or was the omission intensional?
Brilliant job man...
Those dislikers are relatives of Germans shot down by this superior aircraft?
Beautiful work, just subbed! Cheers mate!🙂👍🏻
Thank you!
Great work i can only think of one extra detail.. the reflection in the rear view mirror
Great work. Thanks for posting.
Lovely build! Did you use a protective coat over the AK aluminum?
Where did you get that photo etch tool to make curved cuts for masking tape?
The Republic P-47 cockpits were actually dull dark green, not interior green
Very enjoyable post. thanks for sharing some of your techniques. Eduard kits are amazing in detail. outa my price-range, but I still like to look. U got a sub & thumbs up from me. don't know why any thumbs down. looked very nice to me.

All the decaks i used provided with the kit. I cut out "Mae" intentionally.
Love it! Love the bluegrass music too
You have done a nice job. Congratulations. Would you please tell me what you have used to make the dark shades on the machine guns? Thx.
Very good build. Can you put a link in the description of the templates you use to cut the masking tape?
Espetáculo Bravo parabéns.
Beautiful
Great model build! But damn Dawid! Some great Bluegrass music! I don't know whether to build or ten step!
Hi, from minutes 12:48 to 13:10.. you used what? Tamiya accent line? Is it that liquid? Or you added thinner or alcohol? Thanks...
Where did you get that photo etch tool for cutting curves?
nice work man the p47 is beatifull
Just a comment for the algorithm

Hello. May I ask where did you buy that circular stencil cutter template? Thank you
I just bought the kit 2 weeks ago, caint wait to get started ! Awesome build 2 Thumbs up ! Did you use all the photo etched parts on your build ?
nah, i don't have bending tool to do it properly and some are just too tiny and can't be bothered :)
Scale Hangar 182 thats what I was thinking also
Scale Hangar 182 you can use 2 rasor blades for bending Quick and easy
What glue did u use for the instrument panel ?? , you make it look so easy. , great video too!
Such a great work! What's the name of the tool you use at 8:43 to etch the adhesive paper?
Dottie Mae is the full name on the side of the plane but very well done
I know. But it was made for my friend who.lost his woman named Dorothy, he asked me to remove Mae so I did. Please respect that
Scale Hangar 182 and I do respect that, and I’m sorry to hear about your friend’s girl.
Beautiful build my friend 🍻👍
That’s beautiful!
Very nice build 👍
Great work
BEAUTIFUL👍👍
Great work men spitfire and listened ?
Thanks for the video. Where did you get the cutting/scribing template that you used to cut the curved pieces of masking tape?
Ebay. Extremely cheap
@@ScaleHangar182 Thanks!
Nice work
Deja vu....I’ve watched this already....and even commented. Sweet job.
Sorry I had to upload it again
Scale Hangar 182 lol. I’m glad that I am not quite senile yet.

Классная модель,молодчина))
Very nice.
From start to finish, how long did it take you to build this?
2 weeks
I missed the part you applied the clear coat over the kit.
It's all good
Nice work!
Bluegrass fan?
Nice model at 00:06 and 20:15 ! What's that airplane stuff in the middle section, though? Think I'll go spray me some clear coat.
P-47 had Stainless Steel blast tubes...
Bellissimo complimenti.
Thank you!
Great...!!!!!
you should make a 1/1 plane model
Lol I love how Germans, Brits, and Japanese tried to camouflage their planes, and then here come the Americans in chrome-finished airplanes with naked ladies painted on the side. God bless America :') hahahahaha
bravo superbe
Well done. What music were you using. Love blue grass.
YEEEEEHAAAAWWWW!!!
Reporting for duty . Have been assigned to this group . Is this the aircraft that I am to take over . Thank you .
awesome build, but who did the music?!?
Can’t believe you had to scribe panels considering the cost of the kit. Also I would also have thought there would have been some gun bay details. You did a great job though.
Well. I didn't had to. I just enlarge them a little
I agree on the scribing, i got the kit too, still thinking if Im going to scribent the panels
Do you sale models?
Some i do sell
Круто!
Type plane was called Dottie Mae, where is the “Mae”
I made this Model kit for my friend who lost his beloved one. Her name was Dorothy and he asked me not put Mae. I hope you will understand that. Thank you.
