Hey Bee, just wanted to say I have been using this for women living in remote NT who don't have access to Antenatal Classes, and it's been a massive help. Thank-you so much for your kindness in sharing this!
Hi, just wanted to thank you for transforming my labor experience. Writing to you from Karachi, Pakistan. Someone posted the link to your antenatal classes in an online parenting thread leading me here and I am just so grateful to you for your insights and wisdom. I was able to endure 6 hours of contractions at home remembering your points about seeing pain as my friend and facilitating oxytocin in a familiar environment. When I finally reached hospital, I was 7 cm dilated and delivered successfully within 40 minutes. Thank you so much!
Life changing ! Thankyou so much for taking the time out of your day for us pregnant mamas through iso! Your shows were so informative and helpful in my second pregnancy compared to all paid classes during my first! I am so pleased to see someone who shares that labour and birthing a baby is EPIC not scary and awful B you are an EPIC human and thanks to your labour and birth episodes I had the most amazing birthing experience I felt empowered strong and confident to do it my way xxxxxx
The WHO suggested in the 80s that the "ideal" number for cesareans should be 10-15%, but this is a percentage they've admittedly invented. A LOT has changed in four decades, and people are having children at later ages while more women have more options and control to make their own birthing decisions. If you visit the article on the WHO website, their reasoning and studies were mainly done in hospitals in third world countries in the 80s, which I don't find comparative to hospitals in first world countries of today. I'm not pushing for C-sections, I think every woman should be free to make her own educated decision. I just received a lot of negativity from my midwife simply asking about an elective C-section, and this line was the only "fact" she kept on pushing on me. Thank you so much for the wonderful and informative video!
Studies have shown that the longer a baby stays in the womb the better; brain development inside the womb seems to be way better than development outside the womb. That's probably why midwives aren't in favour of elective c-sections and inductions - longer the baby can stay in mum the better!
An australian friend of mine sent me this as I had my epic birthing experience robbed from me with my son and now im due in a month or 2 with a girl and your vid is such an amazing resource, thank you so much! Watching from Hungary ❤
Seeing a holistic/vitalistic chiropractor can help with jaw 'pain' in pregnancy :) Im a chiro student and also see a vitalistic chiro and its very helpful
Thank you so much for this resource! Even though we aren't in strict lockdown anymore in 2022, this has been a lifesaver for my wife and I as we prepare for the arrival of our first baby this year. Love your enthusiasm, your husband's support and just the general expertise you offer for FREE! Have signed up to receive the remaining classes through your website :)
Thankyou so much for making these videos, theyre great, beyond impressed, our hospital is still not running classes one year later and theyre recommending this, so thanks for being so passionate!
Is the sitting backward on the chair position for pelvic floor or to help the baby move to anterior position? And when in the pregnancy should we start/ for how long? Thanks!
That was FANTASTIC! you lost me at “see my soft lips” and “soft scrotum” and I had to pause and compose myself before proceeding 🤣😂🤣 10/10. Wish I had this for my first labour 5 years ago.
Hi! Really enjoyed this video. When you say early labour should be done in the comfort of your own home up until active labour which is 4cm + How do you know when you’ve reached this stage? You obviously can’t see your own hoohaa and my husband won’t be trained to access 😂
Good question! You could ask your doctor/midwife but from experience I’d say the length of time you have labored at home to where the contractions are constant and consistent...so check on the recommendations for your unique pregnancy, but it could be 511, 411...meaning your contractions are 4 minutes apart, lasting for about 1 min and have been this way for at least 1 hr. And hopefully your labour is progressing and by the time you go to your place of birth you will be admitted and soon have your little one!
I was so excited to find an Australian class on YT... until I got to 9.06 and you referred to me as a birthing person. After multiple losses, 10 years of trying for a baby, high risk surgeries, ivf etc to be excluded from being called a mother or woman to include the small majority of those who identify as something different is heartbreaking. I set time aside for this class and was so excited, but at the risk of more degrading words such as chest feeding, birthing person etc im going to stop this video here. For all the women who desperately want motherhood and experience multiple losses, surgeries upon surgeries, ivf etc to finally get pregnant, be on that journey to motherhood and get to the stage of Prenatal classes, only to labelled as a birthing person and not as a woman or mother is shattering. I wish this wasn't the first experience I had of a childbirth class. I understand the whole equality movement and involving everyone, but by going this far, you are taking away something special and excluding those who don't identify as a birthing person.

Thank you. I'm so tired of the misogynistic erasure of the words 'woman' and 'mother' from language, particularly female-specific healthcare.
Hear hear 👏
