As an Arizona Coyotes fan, I really sad. As a Utah Yeti(well; Not yet) fan, I'm excited for hockey in Utah. I hope the fans in Utah love these guys as much as we did in Arizona. Giv'r hell boys!❤😊
UTAH is becoming a fan favourite I'm sure! Lots of energy in the ownership & they're treating their players & staff right. I hope they call their team the Outlaws, that will score HUGE in the marketing department!
It's always sad when a franchise moves to another city in any sport. The Coyotes could've flourished in AZ but multiple awful ownership groups and so much losing is what did them in. They made the playoffs 9 times in 27 years in AZ, only winning 2 series which both came in 2012.
It’s unfortunate that it took a relocation of the Coyotes to get an owner that actually cares about the team. But I believe that Utah will absolutely love hockey and hopefully the team can be in the playoffs within the next three years.
DITTO! as a young child growing up in Bountiful I was a gigantic hockey fan every Thursday night there was a NHL game on TV.. And now to have a NHL team 8 minutes north of my house is fking RADICAL!!
He seems like a really good owner not sure they will win the cup but looks like new age ideas alot of US kids or youth could want to play there from USDP/College. I still think the old way of running organizations works better. The colder climate and Ryan mentioning wants to build rinks through Utah there's no reason it can't be like Colorado/BC have junior teams in NAHL/College teams end up like Airizona State and succeed.
I would love for Utah to get a football team too but realistically, NFL games are mostly on Sundays and we’ll, you guessed what happens on Sunday out here. :) I’m just so freaking excited to have an amazing NHL team in the midst of these amazing mountains and snow.
Mixed emotions about this. Ryan Smith and his family are great people and seem great for the game of hockey, but I'm super bummed that it came at the expense of the Coyotes.
How lucky is the NHL to have Ryan Smith
Thanks for bringing the NHL to Utah, Ryan!
Not him, all of us. We did, and this is our team.

Its so weird (and cool) to see a young owner lol

It's crazy the excitement in UTAH! Ownership seems so into it and they're doing a great job. Long over due that the Coyotes moved.
If it wouldn’t have taken this long Utah wouldn’t have a team. Utah was not in contention until early this year.

LoL 😆 No need to hate on other people’s success. It’s ok to root for others. Jealousy just holds you back from your own goals. 🙏
801 Messiah = Ryan Smith
Lol 😆 Hockey… now that’s a political candidate I can get behind! Hockey 2024!
5 months and they STILL have no name.
I don’t know much about the owners but I like them so far. From a distance, the way they’ve gone about this just feels right🏒🥅
