I like the pov angle! Came from Marybeths channel. I thoroughly enjoy watching these videos so its nice to have another person I enjoy listening to post a video!
I watch MB too, first time ran across this one Bodies on the breeds, Fox terrier, Lakeland, Welsh, are done the same, lakie has a fall, & others have eyebrows.
I’m from MB’s channel like a few others here. I am happy to find another dog grooming channel to watch. I like to watch at night to wind down. I think you did a great job and you also have more patience then I would have had. Lol. I think this dog did great for the most part! Look forward to seeing more 😊
It is a rare treat to watch a groom on an Airedale! I thought you were sweet to her and she came out looking Great. I always hate when the dogs are nervous and either tremble or pant like this girl was doing, but I know it is just the breed and nothing wrong is being done to them. Excellent Groom and Great Video!👏💝
So glad to find your channel...you are a very caring and kind groomer and your techniques and work is spot on...not like alot of groomers that do nothing but shave them off and get it done the fastest way they can...I'm a groomer of 53 years and still do small dogs...be proud of what you do...
I enjoy the talking to your ‘clients’ while you work - I feel involved, laugh, giggle and appreciate how strenuous a large dog can be. You’re awesome! 👍
I loved the way you spoke to her all the way through the groom and you made me laugh out loud quite a few times. I wish you every success and I hope your channel takes off x you've gotten a new subscriber with me x
Here from Marybeth's channel - love your style! Fun, and still very professional. Great with the animals. Love your work! I think it's great that you're training others too!
I'm from Marybeth's channel and just wanted to say that I love watching your grooming!!! Great job on this one being your first! My sister used to have an Airedale named Calypso or Cali for short. Best wishes from Vancouver, B.C Canada Melinda
Really enjoy watching you. I've watched Marybeth for quite a while and now I have you to watch too. Thank you for helping all these dogs. You are so patient with them.
Your so sweet with the dog. Thanks for showing the book as well, it’s cool to see the goal for the overall look of the breed. You got a new subscribe 👍🏼
She was dancing because as was mentioned in the beginning of the video she has issues with her hips. You were so affectionate and comforting throughout she tried her best not to sit down and tucker out. I'm here from Marybeth's also. I'll be binging your vids. Much love.
I have watched a lot of different groomers on RUclips. You are the only one that I have seen hold the skin taunt so that when you brush it doesn’t pull on them as much. I do believe it pulls and hurts them, someone might say if it hurt the dog you would know it, but not with all dogs some would go through the little bit of pain or uncomfortable feeling without being hostile with their groomer. Just like brushing a child, elder, and even your own hair while brushing out un smooth hair , or hair with some tangles. I mean it makes sense, why aren’t other groomers doing that. I am glad that Marybeth lead me to your channel. I love watching her groom, her camera is the best by far of any groomers that I’ve seen. Thank you for giving your love to these animals. I don’t even have a dog, however watching dogs get groomed is very relaxing to me. I hope that your channel continues to grow, and that you have loads of success. Thank you for teaching others as you do as well. Wishing you the best. 💖 Forgot to say I do love the angles you are getting with your camera. I think it’s like MB’s . ?
I thoroughly enjoyed watching you groom this fur baby. I'm not sure what is wrong with her, but you can tell with the way she was dancing that there is something wrong with her. The way you kept getting on your knees and the way you talk to the dog the whole time you were grooming her, you can tell you enjoy your job. Love you and the way you do your job.!!!
I believe you are going to have a very successful channel because you are great with the animals. Just hang in there and have patience to get your subscribers.
I love your channel. I came from Mary Beth’s channel. I love how you call the girl dogs “Sister” “Sis” and “Sweet Girl” you’re an excellent groomer. Great groom by the way 👌😊
I’m currently in grooming school and I keep having this reoccurring nightmare that once I’m finished school an Airedale is going to walk in and I will have no idea what to do🙈. This actually helped the nightmares lol. And I love that you stated you have never groomed one before because I keep thinking I have to know how to groom all of the thousands of breeds that exist in this world:). Thanks for keeping it real🥰
I think this is the first time I've ever seen this breed beyond Animal Planet talking about it. I'm loving the angle and the videos. Keep up the great work!
Because I am 75 years (sounds old) (because it is old) and used to watch movies done in the 1930’s with my mom in the 1950’s, I knew about the breed “Airedale” from the series of movies called “The thin man”. The lead roles were actors Myrna Loyd and William Powell. I am pretty sure you are not familiar with those names but the movies were not bad. They were private detectives. You do not see that breed much anymore.
Before you clarified that Crown Royal was a grooming product and not the liquor, I thought, “oh boy, this could make grooming the goldens fun “. “A squirt for you, a squirt for me, a squirt for you, a squirt for me”. 😂😂😂😂
Lovely job! I like how you keep talking to them and engaging them through the groom. I have no doubt the next groom will be even better now that you have been able to rough in the pattern. As far as the camera settings for filming, I prefer whatever Marybeth tends to use. I got a bit disoriented with this closer up view. I know she tried that recently too and I preferred her old settings. Can’t wait to see what else comes into the shop!
She’s a beauty but wow she’s a big dog. I’ve never heard of this breed. You did so good on her groom. Much love from one of your OG’s from the ‘Sip❤️🐾❤️
I think these dogs love it when you talk to them, and talk. I think that makes you a good groomer! Cause my experience is that my dogs love it when I talk to them! They listen! Woof! 🐾❤️🐾🐾🐾
I'm starting my training next week, and i appreciate these videos, they help me prepare for what to kinda expect! I'm curious how long in total did this big lady take. I always feel like I'm taking too long. I did a bath and brush on a large husky and it took me 2.5 hours to get through it all. I can't fathom how long it takes to actually groom a large terrier like this. Thanks for putting out great and helpful content!
Right? Was it matted? Because the bears is part of the look. The eyebrows also have to be shorten. I understand this is a pet Airedale and that it’s hard to get the cut right.
Hi! I'm new to your channel. It seems very interesting. You keep popping up when I'm looking for Rover's makeover. So I wondered if you and her were connected in some way. But I'm going to go ahead and subscribe to your channel as I like your calm way and natural straightforwardness of communication.
I have the quick reference book but not the one you said is more detailed. I should probably get that one. My teacher and RUclips help with details I'm missing. (More of the technique issues) just did my first 2 scissoring jobs last week; modified schnauzer (cylinder legs), similar to your Airedale, and a shihtzu (full furry coat all over), completely scissored except for the sani. I did pretty good.
@@graffitigrooming2604 thanks 😊 maybe. I will be returning to school this winter so clients will be weekend only. I will probably always groom. Even after I finish my degree. Something about caring for animals who depend on us to be patient and kind, even when they are not at their best because they are scared, fills my soul.
I'm not a groomer so I was taken aback when I heard you say, "Crown Royal" and water. Googled it and letting your viewers know it's a brand name dog conditioner.
Maybe the next cut will be better. She didn’t even look like an Airedale at the end. 😞 I know her beard was matted, but what about detangling solution first? It was a good first attempt and at least you tried. 👍🏽 👍🏽 😃
That was quite a workout. I cannot image how tired you must be at the end of the day. Some of us “dark humor” people, in my family, started calling young children “maggots”. My sweet twin brother started this habit. Of course, we meant it in the sweetest possible manner. I am sure there is worse terminology. Your video was enjoyable. Thank you much.
Jess, I watched this in 2 goes, not because it was too long (can't be long enough IMO), but I had 0 time yesterday, and so, yeah... I have time now and have also been going through some of the comments a little more carefully. You don't deserve any of the odd or negative that's out there. None of it! I mean, where do people get off? Half listening to what is said, not following a channel enough but then still commenting silly things. Speaking before thinking. Sheesh. Don't let it get you down. It's part of YT life, I'm afraid. :( It goes from "innocent" trolls all the way to people wishing harm on you. Use that "block" feature if you have to. No shame in that game!
That brusha brusha, was actually an advertisement that came out in the early 60s. And it went something like this. Brusha brusha brusha, bucky bucky beaver. New ipana toothpaste. It's dandy for your teeth.
I was thinking the same. Not sure of the manufacturer that make grooming table, but for the large dogs there has to be options.. You did fantastic job she wore you out..
You did great! And it does not have to be precise. Like you said it is a modified cut that you did so I don't get the "criticism" in the comments below.
Or people can bring their dogs in more often and it wouldn't be matted and the beard could have been saved... They shouldn't have to brush matts off their dog, the owners should do a better job brushing or bring the dog in more often.
I used to do a once a year Airedale Terrier, his dad wintered in NYC but only trusted me to Groom his dog. So he'd bring him to me matted, smelling of pee and cigarette smoke. (He never brushed that dog) His beard was Always matted but the Matt's Always brushed out 🤷🏻♀️ i Always made him look like a Airedale with no issues. I think it's lack of knowledge on your part of not grooming Many Terriers. I also show dogs and have a stepdad who used to handle and show and raise Terriers. Trust me brushing a matted Terrier with a slicker and a matt breaker is easy peasy.
Brush your breath, brush your breath, brush your breath withe Dentine. Remember the cinnamon gum? Mary Beth is how I found you I have watched all your videos, I enjoy you are quite different Frome her.
I can’t believe you just shaved her face without even attempting to brush out the mats. I would have been pissed if I showed up to pick up my baby and her face looked like that.
I’m sorry to say this but, you are not supposed to shave Airedales. Their double coat should be hand stripped to maintain its color and weatherproof texture. Did the owner request the beard and stash being removed? It’s a breed characteristic. The black and tan coat has faded due to the wrong grooming 😢 which is a shame but since this is you first Airedale, not down to you. The poor attention to the facial grooming was though. You had the book and pictures right there.
I like the pov angle! Came from Marybeths channel. I thoroughly enjoy watching these videos so its nice to have another person I enjoy listening to post a video!

Same some how seeing things get cleaned is relaxing like cars also

Love Airedales, so smart and patient.

I love how patient you are with the dogs. Love your personality. Can't wait for more videos, I love your channel!!
Have been watching MariBeth tor a long time. Found you when you did the cat grooming video together. Love the way you talk to the dogs.
Here from Marybeth's channel - love your style! Fun, and still very professional. Great with the animals. Love your work! I think it's great that you're training others too!
The new angle is nice. Asked myself the hole vid what the dog would tell his dogfriends after such a groom.
I'm from Marybeth's channel and just wanted to say that I love watching your grooming!!! Great job on this one being your first! My sister used to have an Airedale named Calypso or Cali for short. Best wishes from Vancouver, B.C Canada Melinda
I also had an airedale and he had the most patience of any dog I ever met.
Your adorable with the dogs
Thank you
Came over from Mary Beth's channel (new subscriber)
I really love how sweet you are to the dogs ❤️
Thank you. I really do love what I do and It does take some patience.
I like this angle on the camera. Love the way you talk to her. She's so sweet.
Really enjoy watching you. I've watched Marybeth for quite a while and now I have you to watch too. Thank you for helping all these dogs. You are so patient with them.
I really enjoy watching.
Hi! Great job! It wasn't easy! I love your videos! From Canada :)

Love your videos. You work so hard . Love your humour and genuine real ness.
Found this video while looking for tips to DIY groom my Airedale🖤 thankyou for this awesome video!!!
Yay! I’m a new subscriber & it’s great to see you, not just your clients!! Love your channel.
"Don't mind the grooming hair I don't care!" Needs to be on a shirt 🤣

She is an overweight dog. A normal Airedale Terrier is a half of that poor dog.
Great groom by the way 👌😊
I love the angle it's better that way and I love the bloopers it's too funny 😆

Like the wide angle lens.

Great groom and a great great bath,,,,
Congrats on your bathing system from Mary Beth!
Nice job.
Love wider angue
Called my kids “turds”too ... 😂😂😂😂
I just love the real ness and humour of this channel!!
The dog legs has got to be tied, Do you let them sit for a minute, to rest there legs? And great job.
great video and you did such a good job! btw, isn't this airedale a bit on the heavy side?
Could you please post a link to the slicker brush please
In college, I had a friend who owned an Airedale. Since then, I rarely see one. Very nice cut.
I think these dogs love it when you talk to them, and talk. I think that makes you a good groomer! Cause my experience is that my dogs love it when I talk to them! They listen! Woof! 🐾❤️🐾🐾🐾
What was the name of your coral brush please
It’s a Chris christenson slicker brush
Have you thought about learning to strip groom?
Nice

Time that I actually touched her about 2 hours but all in all with all the breaks because she is an old girl she was there for about 4 hours
@@graffitigrooming2604 Wow okay, that's very helpful, thank you for the feedback!
Wow, what a great job. Wish the end shot had her face in it. ❤️
...omg, I cannot believe you shaved the beard off w/o even trying to brush it out! It takes YEARS for a beard to come back!
Right? Was it matted? Because the bears is part of the look. The eyebrows also have to be shorten. I understand this is a pet Airedale and that it’s hard to get the cut right.
I Watch Marybeths and Dede Croys channel, and you are doing a Great Job!! 👍

It's the Ipana toothpaste commercial they see at the sleepover in Grease.
You are so funny!
Arent they supposed to have long hair on the end of their mouth?
Yes but her face was super matted
Great groom to watch you explain each step of the groom that is being done on her so she stay relax while you are doing the groom

Tip! Next time keep some beard...hello from Brazil!!!
I'm not a groomer so I was taken aback when I heard you say, "Crown Royal" and water. Googled it and letting your viewers know it's a brand name dog conditioner.
Thank you. My ears perked up too when I heard crown royal. Thought of the liquor. Lol
I think she wanted to lay down, since they said she had bad hips...its kinda hard on us older folks to keep standing for so long.
I hope they paid you a good amount for all that brushing/ detangeling!
Maybe the next cut will be better. She didn’t even look like an Airedale at the end. 😞 I know her beard was matted, but what about detangling solution first? It was a good first attempt and at least you tried. 👍🏽 👍🏽 😃
Do you blow the coat straight as possible or do you cage dry ??

Crown Royale must be for the "post groom(er)"
Looks like the table is to short she looks great
No need to apologize for the children. More employers need to be flexible enough to allow for occasional babysitter mishaps.
You need a little stool on wheels that you can sit and scoot around on. Maybe a saddle stool...
Yes I most definitely do. I will get one soon
I was thinking the same. Not sure of the manufacturer that make grooming table, but for the large dogs there has to be options..

Brusha brusha brusha with the new Ipana
Very big but cute girl 😍
You really could have saved the beard. Terrier coats brush out very easily, i would have used a matter spliter. And it's Airedale Terrier not Aradalle
Or people can bring their dogs in more often and it wouldn't be matted and the beard could have been saved... They shouldn't have to brush matts off their dog, the owners should do a better job brushing or bring the dog in more often.

Watch "Groomers Harness" RUclips channel Suzanne knows the way dogs should be treated during the grooming process.
Honey…. I called my kids lil turds for years. One is 45 and one is 48. I still called them that and I call my two granddaughters that too.
Poor old girl seemed like she was desperate to sit down.

Normally you use a 10 inside the ears ok....just what I've seen others do
Christ but why can’t they make quiet clippers.
What a shame the beard has been shaved off 🤦♂️
