Hello! I just wanted to share some other thoughts that may be good as well. 1: running a damaging move other than Paraselene blur can be nice. I tried a run with Blur and Murakumo and it worked out pretty well since you are able to get chip damage in more often. 2: maybe running Impaler's animus or using Impaler's Glory to get around Satan's resistances could be nice. I tried both and it worked pretty well there too. The only thing I haven't tried is running a Magic build against him so idk how that works please let me know if you have done so and what strategy you used. Also sorry for not showing that I was on hard mode in the original take of the video it just slipped my mind. Anyways hope this helps and please share any tips or tricks you may have!
@@vanilla8956so what you need in that slot is a demon that can consistently earn extra press turns and be able to get some decent chip against Satan. As alternatives I used a crit Agrat build or a Zeus Keraunos build. Agrat is able to consistently earn crits, but will do less single target damage. Zeus is less consistent with earning crits but Keraunos will do very good consistent damage thanks to pierce. Pretty much anything that can consistently crit and do decent damage is usable in place of Masakado. Unfortunately nothing is quite as good as Masakado for this role.
For Impaler's Glory, I can suggest something like: - Starting with Khonsu, Arahabaki and a Vile demon. The former will help keep IG for Arahabaki (you might want to dump all your vit incenses on him so he can tank Megidolaon and other moves.) - Then you can switch in and out demons for damage regardless of resistance with the nahobino (do use one of his turns for Luminescent Mirage though.) Ideally use multi-target attackers to kill the demons meanwhile, and with luck, he might just be able to call allies and do damage moves, never healing with Plunder. For non-Masakado owners, I can suggest the following demons: - Agrat for her Queen's Decree able to crit and generate a Press Turn. - Nuwa (Serpentine) for her Sacrifice of Clay (not very powerful but debuffs attack and defense.) - Beelzebub for Death Flies (if you're not running him as a support.) - Shiva for Tandava (more powerful than Nuwa's SoC and completely debuffs defense, but not attack.) - Demi-Fiend with Javelin Rain (doesn't trigger Adversary thanks to his own Innate Skill.) Hope this helps.
was it on hard? I did in on hard and it took me a little more time and I had to gamble with impaler's animus because I didn't knew about making him absorb the light weakness from the star demon honestly hardest fight yet, I one shotted demi-fiend in 28 attempts with an impaler animus one shot setup but I hated this one WAY more, my demons were kind of garbage dps wise except demi-fiend so I had him absorb each and every one killing one here and there. Pain in the ass, wished I had masakado, still for a no NG+ hard fight I'm kind of proud
@@user-zl1vf4me1p yeah this fight is no joke way harder than Demi. That’s awesome you were able to do it without NG+! I didn’t even find the dude until my 4th or 5th playthrough lol

Any advice for an alternative to Masakado for those who haven't done CoC yet?
