I just checked your videos... and your voice is like ten times better than mine. Seeing your channel at 200 subs after 8 years and with that voice really brings me down, because if anyone deserves to get big its you. But I am failing to see how this music business works. Wish you all the best tho
Ibby VK YOUVE GOT A GREAT VOICE!!! And don't let it get you down. I was consistent with RUclips until I went to college and then fell off. Now I am posting a video every Monday and hoping it will eventually pay off in some way. This is what I was put on this earth for...I just know it. And I want to share it with whomever I can. If I had stayed consistent for 8 full years, who knows where I'd be today. But all I can do is commit now and that's what I'm doing. I really truly appreciate your kind words. I can't explain what they mean to me. It makes me keep going. I work a full time job - 50 hours a week. And on my two days off each week I work on my music. So it gets hard but it's worth it. It makes my soul happy.
I can totally relate.. I am stuDYING chemical engineering and I am at my senior year only because my parents forced me to do something that is "an actual job" for the rest of my life. but like you said, you know what you want and I guess we just gotta keep working for that. Let me just give you a link to something I read yesterday about ed sheeran that really gave me a boost... can you imagine ED SHEERAN being broke after 500 gigs, 3 years of live shows, 4 EP's and 2 full length albums, until he finally wanted to quit. Very click bait title to this video. It says you were ON the Voice but you weren't. You auditioned to be on the Voice. You have a lovely voice and I wish you luck in your endeavors.
Paul North thank you for your feedback. I posted this video a while ago and have grown a lot since then. In an ever changing web environment, especially here on RUclips with all of the new regulations, it’s hard for us smaller RUclipsrs to ever be noticed. So sure, the title of the video might have made you click on it and raised your interest, but I don’t feel the content was at all deceptive or uninformative. Also, The Voice is much more than what you see on live TV. Having gotten a call back and making it to the 2nd/3rd stage is an accomplishment that shouldn’t be diminished, regardless of making or not making it to the small televised portion. I also have to add that I did follow the title of this video with a question mark. Most people with click bait titles would never do something like that to add a sense of doubt in the viewers mind. Additionally, I added text to my thumbnail for further context saying “My experience WITH The Voice.” I hope this helps you understand a bit more of my passion behind my dream. I just want to share my love with the world and we’ve all got to start somewhere. Blessings xoxo
I completely understand your position and definitely was not disparaging your accomplishment. I was merely commenting on the title being a bit deceptive. I was slightly disappointed as well as there are several other videos regarding auditions prior to being on the show and I've been looking for true experiences of what its like to be on the show in comparison to what I've heard so when I saw your title I was excited to finally see what Ive been looking for but as I said, was disappointed. Other then that your video was very informative and truthful of your experiences and I thank you for sharing them. I hope you have been successful in your pursuit of your dream since posting this video and wish you further success now and in the future!

I could have sworn I saw you yesterday as you were heading up to go upstairs. Did you make it to the Baltimore auditions? We were there, but didn't get the go head. It was fun, but really everyone in our group was pretty strong, no one went on.
ahhh I totally forgot to reply back. WE SHOULD HAVE MET UP!! I got there at 6:30am. It's crazy because I got a call back last year and didn't get one this time. But its a tv show....so I don't expect much anyhow. Did you enjoy yourself?
I think it is, I wouldn't say rigged, because they do get really great singers every year, but so many of them where kind of second level or up and coming talent that were actually professionals, not all, but many.. prior recording careers, or songs already on the radio, or known bands. I actually looked up all the past winners today and more had somewhat of careers. A guy in our group, with ear rings, and acting a fool during the long long lunch break of the "producers" got a go to the front of the line for doing a show tune. Heck, he got the call back. So, I just think it goes like that some times. I have to say, 95% of everyone I met had amazing vocals, and super nice. So, I am glad I did it. Pretty sure I won't do it again. lol. You have an amazing talent.... keep working it. We should work on a project this summer before I head to college!
They are making a TV show, that's their main focus. Maybe they already met their quota of young girls with your look. Or country singers. Maybe they hadn't had lunch yet and were crabby. lol that's a joke but there are sooo many things that go into this, it in no way means that you aren't a fantastic singer!
oh trust me! I understand the logistics behind it and how there are many diverse variables that go into it. I have nothing against the show and actually love that they are giving at least some folks a chance to change their lives and pursue their passion!
You're a DYT type 1 or a Spring/winter. These lip and clothes colors are NOT you at all. Find your colors and style and you will find your authentic self is shown.
