When I was first married, we had a record breaking snowfall in my honetown, Chicago. Our apartment building lost electric power, but not gas power for a couple of days. To make matters worse, it was a Friday, payday, and many of our neighbors couldnt get to the bank or the supermarket. Rather than lose all our frozen and refrigerated foods, we opened our doors, put together our supplies, cooked and shared our food with everyone. We had one big party!
I remember after Ian we had no gas stations with gas. Our neighbor found one with gas and my husband and him gathered up all the neighbors gas cans to fill them all up. We were without power for over a week and no internet for weeks. It was so hot here in sw Florida!! We purchased a portable air conditioner on wheels for the next hurricane. Pray we don’t get one!!! Pray you get power soon!!😊🙏😊
Good evening PawPaw! I just finished feeding up everyone - they are all getting their tummy’s fat and happy for the night. It’s so hot and humid up here my dogs wouldn’t even go out with me to feed. You guys have made the news up here - they were talking about how many people are still without power in south East Texas. Apparently other states are sending electricians down there to help y’all.

Watching your videos bring back so many memories of the stories my mama had told me as a child about her own life when she too was raised on a farm and worked long hours helping with the gardening and feeding animals and the love, she had for all those animals they were raising. Hi Pawpaw, Buddy said he went to get gas at 3am when no one else was there. He might get you some too. Morrow hill should invest in a large gas tank to store gas for emergencies like this. I just came in from working outside and am soaking in sweat so I took a lukewarm shower to cool down. I don’t believe God would allow another flood for you after what you’ve been through.
I’m glad you were able to get a shower even if it was short and lukewarm. Just that can make you feel a little more refreshed. I hope they hurry up and get things going for you. You all have had one heck of a summer. Prayers and hugs to all on the Hill.

The only time I lost power for any length of time was in the winter. We just put our food outside in coolers and we had a fireplace for heat. We just acted like we were camping.

Watching your videos bring back so many memories of the stories my mama had told me as a child about her own life when she too was raised on a farm and worked long hours helping with the gardening and feeding animals and the love, she had for all those animals they were raising. Loretta both of my Texas children live in Arizona…Phoenix and Tempe. They want me to move there some day. I live in Northern Central Texas…will just stay in my rural small Tx town as AZ is beautiful but too hot!😅

Hi Pawpaw, Buddy said he went to get gas at 3am when no one else was there. He might get you some too. Morrow hill should invest in a large gas tank to store gas for emergencies like this. I just came in from working outside and am soaking in sweat so I took a lukewarm shower to cool down. I don’t believe God would allow another flood for you after what you’ve been through.
I’m glad you were able to get a shower even if it was short and lukewarm. Just that can make you feel a little more refreshed. I hope they hurry up and get things going for you. You all have had one heck of a summer. Prayers and hugs to all on the Hill.

The only time I lost power for any length of time was in the winter. We just put our food outside in coolers and we had a fireplace for heat. We just acted like we were camping.

The feel like temperature was 116° yesterday and thunderstorms for the past 3 days. Flooding Alerts went out today. Praying Yall get power restored soon.
