Hello Jackie , You're the single person on youtube that showed me everything I need for autofocus for this camera/xh2s, I use multi because on my xt3 with +3 tracking -1 speed and it works great and I dont like being limited to that focus box. Every other reviewer is only showing eye + area and forgets about multi or says multi is bad. Thank you very much.
Thanks Jackie! I was a little surprised you have such few subscribers, you deserve plenty more! This is great content and exactly what I was looking for :)
I've found that Eye detection, when I am shooting events, is not precise enough; it will focus on the right eye, and the left eye is not. I use face detection, which is better for the subject.
this was exactly what I needed!! I've been struggling so much with autofocus on my XS-20. When I travel, I like to take panning/moving landscape videos and my autofocus tends to struggle a lot with the mountain landscapes. Any suggestions for getting a smooth focus video?
amazing video, thank you! What focus mode would you recommend for traveling? I mostly don't have time to change my settings if I want to document my trips. I just want to press record and take a video, that isn't just all blurry.
Hey! I've got the X-S20 with the RODE Videomic GO II and for me straight out of the camera the background noise/ white noise is really present in the vide. Did you experience the same as me with the X-S20 and the Rode Mic?
I’ll have to try it again and compare it to my DJI wireless mic. I definitely think the DJI with a Lav mic is better. I’ll share an update here when I do.
@@TechTroppy I tried this on my X_S20 yesterday and what I found is if I save the settings to one of the custom C1 through C4 when I turn off the camera and turn it back on the microphone settings are retrieved. If I adjust the microphone settings, and I do not go to the custom settings and specifically save, I do lose the setting when I turn off the camera.

Would you say that on the XT5 works the same ?
Yes, I would use the same settings on the X-T5. Thanks for watching!
Thank you! Glad it was helpful.
@@JackieDElia Thank you so much!
Remember me ? After those comments i've ordered the xh2s and started those videos :D
Going to save this video for when I get my X-S20 ☺️ Nice work on your videos 😊
Awesome! Thank you!
you’re gonna go very far my friend I can see it. And I sort of have an eye for this kind of thing. Well, I got two eyes but that’s another story.
Thank you, Brian. That means a lot.

Thank you. I only started my channel a few months ago. Glad it was helpful. Thank you for watching.

Glad it was helpful. As for panning/moving videos - that is not something I’ve tried with this camera. What lens are you using for that?

Thank you! The answer depends on several factors. What camera and lens are you using? What type of videos are you shooting most of the time?
Hello! Thank you very much for this! I’ve been struggling with my new camera. And this video helped a lot!
Thank you for watching. Glad it was helpful.
❤
Great video Jackie, I don’t do to much video, but is nice to know the modes so when I have to use it.
Glad it was helpful!
This answered so many questions I’ve been having about the many MANY autofocus settings on this camera - great work, thanks!
Glad it was helpful! Thanks for watching.
Thanks Jackie! Excellent presentation.
Thanks for watching.

It is a bug, you have redo your mic settings after each reboot of the camera.
Thanks for sharing that. I will test that out this week on my X-S20 with the latest firmware.
