Very good review! Bought mine today. I know it's a bit older now but I got a great deal on it. I also live in an apartment that's not too big so I think this vacuum will be perfect.
Mike you are absolutely right!!! I purchased this robot for $199 from Amazon like 3 weeks ago, I was about to return it to replace it with Lydsto R1....Now I plan to keep it as a secondary robot together with my Lydsto, me and my wife fell in love with it, the navigation is fantastic and it's smooth, wish it will come with a self empty bin . You have a niche in the robot vacuum world, your channel will grow exponentially, good luck
Unfortunately few days after my first post I got an error telling me that the laser have an obstruction, I cleaned several times but was unable to make it work again, finally I returned...now I have my Lydsto R1 alone
I am all about giving these lesser expensive vacuums a try. I have a moosoo R4 from Walmart with Lidar and am VERY impressed with it. I still love people telling me how their more expensive ones are better. Tech is tech. How do you feel about it just having one spinner? I have to look at your videos to see if you recommend anything else at this price range.
One side brush is fine, I can't really see any advantage to two. The 360 S5 is hard to beat, but if you spend a little more, you can get a robot with a self-empty dock.
I just got the S5's big brother yesterday, the 360 S10 since there are a lot of good reviews about it. If you like the S5 you may want to give the S10 a try, it has three lasers to help it map better. So far I'm really happy with it, it doesn't have an auto empty dock but I'm fine with that, I prefer the dock to take less space. The app is useable with speech but a lot of the controls are unlabeled. Everything speaks really well when setting up the robot with your network but after that, Voiceover just says "button" for a lot of the controls. I was able to set the suction to the highest and I can start the bot without problems. Interestingly the settings screen speaks really well and is very well labeled and there are some unique settings that I have not seen on my other robots, this one is bot number 8 for me. You can set it to automatically clean carpet areas in a cris cross pattern, and to automatically clean the kitchen and bathroom last. Of course with other bots I guess you could do that with the room clean mode and just set those rooms to be cleaned last. There is another setting that I have not seen on my other bots and I have no idea why they even provide this setting, I can't think of a single reason why you would ever want to do this. You can disable the cliff sensors, and when you try to do that, the app warns you that doing this will make the robot much more likely to fall down stairs. Again, I can't think of a single reason why you would ever want to disable that. There is one other odd thing about this bot. I prefer to run all of the bots on the highest power setting for the best clean possible, on the 360 S10, when you use max power, it drops the power slightly after a couple of minutes, although it's still higher than the next lowest setting, not sure why it does that. Anyway, if you like the S5 I would suggest trying the S10, so far I really like it, I would also give the Robovac X8 a try, that's Eufy's top model and it's also excellent.
Very cool robot my friend. I convinced a coworker to get one because they were on sale for $199. Now if I would compare the 360 S5 to the WYZE robot which is similar priced this is a better choice. Build quality and app features are better on the 360 from what I tested. I do appreciate multiple map saving up to 10 I think. Good job on the video, I won’t show you my 360 S5 review video once it available because yours is extremely well done 👍 and mine was shot and edited by a 5 year old!!!
Show it!!! :P I just got the Wyze and honestly, it's not bad. It works. I like how it makes very small turns and cleans your rooms better as a result. But yeah, you're right, the app, while perfectly functional, just doesn't have the same features. Although I do love the mapping run feature. I wish more companies would implement that. Watching a lidar robot do a mapping run is a thing of beauty.
@@MrRoombato LOL it coming, 360 taking their sweet time sending the S5. Ohhh 😮 hmmmm maybe my WYZE didn’t like me. I did throw the box so that might of been why the robot was acting up on me!!!

4:38 ouch! I have had robots with a solid brush and with detachable tips. And I do make a big deal about that since my hair is everywhere and removing it off the edges is a headache. When I first received the S5 I was amazed by its performance, especially on carpet. And totally agree with you, one of the best apps in the industry, never had any issues with that. I used its first model, 360 S6 for about 2 years, it wasn't as good on carpets but the price=performance was one of the best back then. The S5 for $200? Give me two! But I would mention that its battery does not last long on max mode. I remember it being something close to 40 minutes on the highest settings, might be wrong tho.
@@SmartRobotReviews Thank you! What I mean by that is even with hair tangled around the brush, the robot still cleans quite well. Maybe one of us should make a video testing that! I nominate you because your hair is easier to see on the brushes. :P And yeah, I forgot to mention the shitty battery life. It's as bad as the Roomba i7. But...199!
No, I don't have that one yet, but it's coming this week. From what I have seen, the app is not comparable. Has many of the same features, but the execution is not as competent. But we shall see! Another possible contender is the iLife A10, but it needs a firmware update to stop it from making absurdly wide turns.
How actually tall this thing? Can it fit in 10cm gap between hard floor and furniture, or it will stuck or even just bump the bottom of furniture with its lidar? I saw in one review what Roborock S7 barely fits 10.1 cm and it's height must be 9.6 cm with lidar.

@@akuma12356 Okay, just for you... :) I measured the voltage. It's 2.3V when the robot is not docked, and 18.5(ish)V when it is.
