The Firm was a kick ass band. I'll never understand why they didn't sell more concert tickets and albums. All four members were talented friggen' rock monsters!

Lue Kealau I think it was a different era of music, this is right when Live Aid was on and you had very different big acts at the time. Sure some will say it was the Hair Band era but it was also the New Romantic's time, Duran Duran, Visage and Spandau Ballet were huge back then, that's what I remember hitting the airwaves and not The Firm. Back then the music industry was tightly controlled by the big labels, very different to what goes on today. Many who were connected to big 70's bands were ignored in the early 80's, Pete Townshend certainly suffered with his amazing solo albums that were nearly totally ignored. Basically the music industry sucks, no matter how big your name. Possibly Queen were the lucky ones, they struck GOLD at Live Aid and this turned them into a 80's supergroup even though their vintage was a 70's style band.

I remember the lyrics containing the phrase "flames are getting higher & higher" so I believe it's the song "Closer" but maybe with a different title. I was not high because at this particular moment in my life I wasn't getting high. Could be something different, but I'm famous for having a great long term memory! This show still stands out in my mind as being in my top 2 concerts I witnessed personally along w/Pink Floyd's the wall in '79 at the L.A. Sports Arena, & Jeff Beck at the Greek in 80

No, the song that is being disputed between Beck and Page is called "Beck's Bolero" not Dazed and Confused. Jake Holmes wrote "Dazed and Confused". "I'm Confused" is a rearrangement of Holmes's "Dazed and Confused" which was later credited and The Yardbirds.

That sound is the Boss CE-2 Chrous pedal and everybody used them in the '80s...It works here for me because I love Jimmy and he can do no wrong where tone is concerned, but indeed the Boss Chorus sucks the life out of everyone-it is boxy in an anachronistic '80s way...Although Jimmy still sounds fuckin' greta to me:)
