  • Scrap Wood? Hard Wood? Don't have a lot of time and you need a mallet? Check out this video for a quick guide on how to make an easy wooden mallet for your shop.
For this build I used some left over "common board" I had from home depot, but most woods should work.
Here are the tools I used with prices off home depot's website.
    -Ryobi 15 Amp 10" Table Saw --$130
-Ryobi 9 Amp 7-1/4" Compound Miter Saw --$90
    -Ryobi 5.5-Amp 3/8" Drill --$30
-Milwaukee 2" Hole Dozer Hole Saw --$11
    -Ryobi 2 Amp 1/4 Sheet Sander --$30
-Other hand tools like the Saw, clamps, and speed square are around $10 or less.
Keep in mind, a lot of these tools are not necessary, you could cut things to length on the table saw instead of using a miter saw. And if you're patient enough, just get a sheet of sand paper and go to town instead of using a sander, they just help make the job quicker.

Just what I'm looking for. Simple and straightforward. Video is concise and well planned.

I love you how you speed up the footage and talk just enough but not too much. There's so many people who destroy their video because they enjoy the sound of their own voice far too much. IT projects are great for someone like me, who has a short attention span. They're quick and they're cute.

Glad you liked it! I'm coming out with a new one tomorrow and I tried to keep the same style, no need to drag it out :)

Shouldn’t the wider hole be at the top?

How well do the pine wood mallets hold up? I have only seen them made out of hard woods before. Are these best to use when working with softer woods?

So far they are still kicking after about 2 years. They might not hold up to heavy duty work but I have used them in other pine projects and they get the job done.

Horrible safety standards you practice with your table saw. That's so dangerous. Stand in front and keep conrtol of the work piece.

Hi, I like your job but really disapprove your way to use the table saw. high kick back risk and fingers so dangerously near to the blade. Make yourself a courtesy, improve your safety standard.
