    I'm on 10 acres in mo. Just a suggestion because I've experience this. You'll probably be needing to cut down more to build. Get to know your trees first. There value and many uses, no matter what size they are. Also what do you want. A park look or wildlife habitat. Do you want trees for wind break, erosion control wildlife cover? A conservation dept has many informative brochures on this. Basically how to manage your forest. Theres a lot to it. I leave all the shrubs for wildlife cover and certain trees. I have a small open field I'm working on to bring back native grasses and wild flowers. Hopefully quail will come. It's a lot of work but very rewarding. Good luck.

      How did you find your 10 acres of land? I'm looking in SW MO right now and the land is expensive.

      @@KeyesGlamping Well friend. You will have many more days of brush clearing ahead. I am From Puerto Rico, jungle born. My new channel will be the puerto rican pioneer. My very first work video (like you, land clearing) will be all about machetes. I have a nice collection to show. Imacasa machetes are the easiest to get in the USA. A hawkbill/Panga machete and a good file will make your life much easier. Not that junk from the Jason movies. A lot of the brush sizes you guys were using the saw and loppers for, can come down with one swing from a hawkbill machete. They are less than 20 bucks. I will give you my email thru your contact page and i can show what i mean. A 'latin' machete will be a must for rural living. Much success!!

    Raw land to clear and sell the timber vs buying land that is already cleared cost difference? Thanks

    • @KeyesGlamping
      @KeyesGlamping  2 года назад +3

      I am not sure but I did contact few companies to buy some timber from me . They wouldn’t come out unless I log the entire 10 acres. I didn’t want that and also for them to destroy my land in process.

      @@KeyesGlamping good thinking. If you wanted cleared land you could have bought a cow field. I'm in cedar county mo. Its getting harder and harder to find acreage under 10a at a reasonable price.

      Yeh its hard work but I prefer to clear it my self and in process I am learning a lot. 😊👍

      @@KeyesGlampingcontact the Missouri Department of Conservation.. they do all kinds of stuff for landowners.. I would suggest cleaning some of the small scrubby oaks and replanting with high quality White oak, pine trees, hickory, walnut and other native trees that are available from the MDC… if you want to get extra creative, use the cut down trees to make Biochar and compost for new plants…
