I think losing Sirius then his firebolt and Hedwig were harry losing his childhood and innocence. First he lost that last hope of having a father figure in his life then his first present from hagrid which was also his only link to the magical world when he was stuck with the dursleys and from Sirius which was also his last link to the Godfather he had in his life for such a frustratingly short time

i think losing Sirius was part of his growth as a character, he needed to be strong enough to kill voldy moldy.

When you read the books, Hermione and Harry are clearly not meant to be together.
They are like siblings.
Ginny's temper is most suited to Harry's personality. Especially to cheer him up.
As Ron and Hermione are already an old couple before their time. It's all the point with them.
Agreed. Although tbf even in the Books, Ron & Hermione pairing is quite bad. Unlike Ginny & Harry; Ron and Hermione aren't compatible at all. Their pairing was simply done so as to ensure that the Golden Trio becomes a Family towards the end of the series.
@@ruturajshiralkar5566 They seemed fine to me. They were easily the most compatible characters in the series to be honest. I don’t really understand where this whole thing about them not being comes from, because they were characters who so clearly liked each other a lot, the entire time. It works perfectly fine in my opinion.

They spent all of their time together and clearly liked each other a lot, that’s very obvious in the books. They clearly enjoy talking, debating/bickering, and just generally being with each other. They spend their summers together at the burrow or Grimwald place as well.
And in the books they actually seem to care about each other, especially Ron towards Hermione, he was basically defensive of her to a fault, while this all gets cut from the movies.
It’s probably the best pairing in the series in the books, and I personally quite enjoyed reading it and never found that it didn’t work.
There are quite a few quotes I could put that show why I think it’s quite good anyway.

@@dylanelizabeth7712 Possibly. Though I’ve heard many times that she never actually said she regretted what she wrote. Someone would need to find the original quote. Regardless, in the books, it works very well, and a lot would need to be changed for that to not be the case.
A lot of it is just the major changes to Hermione’s character in the films, and the borderline character assassination that happened to Ron.
I would stop harry from stopping sirius and lupin from killing peter
That would actually save cedric and probably prolong voldy moldy's return aswell
I think with Barty Crouch Jr still in the mix the events of GOF would play out similarly

She also talked about being sad about Fred and how she regretted when she killed him. Honestly i think Hermione and Harry were more like brother and sister since the chamber of secrets. What i would have loved to see in the movie is Draco throwing Harry's wand to him to fight Voldemort. It would have added more of a human part to him and showed he cares for Harry and Hogwarts

From what I understand she didn’t actually say that. I think in some interview about the movie specifically she stated that they(Harry and Hermione) might have worked out. I don’t think that’s the case at all in the books, very clearly, but in the films it’s possible. Basically she never said that the Ron and Hermione pairing wouldn’t work, or that she regretted it.
@@3v317 They all seem to make pretty good choices. It’s mostly subjective but I personally think all of the romantic subplots in the series are perfectly fine and the people complaining almost always seem to either have some sort of basic misunderstanding or just be wilfully stupid, having terrible reading comprehension. But whatever, it’s not really that important.
@@3v317 I can’t really think of a bad one other than maybe Remus and Tonks, which wasn’t really developed at all and Remus is like twice Tonks age.
Other than that they’re fine.
Ron and Hermione always seemed like very close characters and clearly spend most of their time together and majorly enjoy each other’s company. They seemed to really care about each other from the start, and there are many, many quotes from the book that support this. Not to mention when they do finally get together at the end of book 6(sort of) it makes a lot of sense and seems like a reasonable and very much hinted at progression, and they act very couple-ey for the entire last book. They do have two big arguments but ultimately they make up completely both times, and they were both caused by outside influences, not some sort of personal incompatibility, it really didn’t come off that they didn’t like or care about each other, and I think that’s evidenced by the fact that they ultimately fully supported the other when they needed it, even during/at the end of these arguments(scabbers/Lavender). So yeah I thought this one makes perfect sense as they clearly deeply like and care about each other in the books, supported by many, many quotes.
Harry and Ginny makes sense as well. In the books they are both consistent parts of each other’s lives, even when they aren’t together, their interests very much align(they both like quidditch etc…). There is also the fact that Ginny is quite tough and doesn’t cry often, which works in Harry’s case as that seems to be what he wants, it is said in the book, and he clearly isn’t great at cheering up very emotional people, so it works. They also clearly very much liked each other, so it makes sense.
So personally I think those main ones are fine and really don’t see why (some small number of) people don’t like them. They make perfect sense, as evidenced by quotes from the books(I could potentially find, but it would be a lot of effort to go through all of the books, they are on my shelf though so I will consider it if this is questioned), and work given the established personalities of the characters. Ultimately it is subjective, but it has to be admitted that the case for them working is equally(and much more) strong than the opposing case.

I cant speak to what was actually said, but real artists do what the material requires, not what they want to warp it into. That's one difference between meh writing and the sublime.
ps. It also speaks to her incredible integrity and strength of character to say what is true vs lie to protect herself from real life versions of Deatheaters.
They should have added harry is the one who kills bellatrix for revenge for sirius
Agreed but Bellatrix also killed Fred and Molly was defending Ginny against her attack.
I would rather have had Neville do it as it would be more ironic, since he’d defeat Bellatrix while Harry defeated Voldemort.
Bellatrix tortured Neville’s parents out of their mental state while Voldemort killed the Potters. That’s why that would have been the best.

By having Ginny be with Harry it allows Harry to be part of Ron's family by marriage. Hermine marrying Ron also makes her a sister to Harry. They are all part of the big wonderful family.

I think the scene where Draco should’ve had defended harry and fighting off Voldemort should’ve had been kept in the last movie in part two
If i can, i think i wanna change the first scene of Harry and draco have ever meet. As we know, in this scene, Draco wants Harry as his friend, but Harry, who sees Draco's attitude towards Ron, becomes pessimistic and rejects the size of his friendship. If I could change just one scene in the Harry Potter story, that would be the scene I would change. I would change Draco to ignore Ron and focus on Harry, so they can be friends. I know that Draco is a big fan of Harry Potter, he always wanted Harry as his friend. But Harry destroyed it. I think the change in this scene will make a significant change to the whole story, Harry and Draco will become friends, and the story will be more exciting or maybe more boring? That this story will completely turn into a story in another universe
Fred staying alive, Sirius staying alive, these are all parts of the story that need to happen, it wouldn’t be the same without

Draco didn't fight Voldemort with Harry. However, he helped Harry escape Voldemort by not positively I.D.ing him.

She regreted because in the books everyone was fine with ron and hermione but the movies were more famous and lot of movie fans wanted harry and hermione

They did basically everything together and clearly really enjoyed each other’s company, as well as immensely cared about each other. I can never understand how people don’t seem to come to this conclusion if they’ve read the books. In the films, yeah it wasn’t really developed at all, but it was a really quite good part of the books.

@@Geno2733 Completely untrue. If you actually paid attention when you read the book you would know that this just isn’t the case. If you are talking about the movies, maybe, but the books are completely different.
Anyway it’s ultimately about how much people like to be with each other and how much they care for each other than some sort of checklist of how much they have in common. And they still had more in common if you actually paid any attention.

The best way to deal with things not turning out like you wanted is to write a fan fiction. I couldn't change the fact that Fred died, so I brought him back as a ghost.
The only thing that confuses me is that Cedric diggory was a fifth year when he participated in the triwizard tournament and instead of him being 15 he is 17 years and 9 months

I don't want to change anything! The series is so fascinating,unique and emotional as well as inquisitive because of how it was written. All the sad and happy moments make the series what it is 😅

I wouldn’t have had Harry and Hermione end up together. But I think it would be expected, due to the stress and pressure caused by being on the run from Voldemort and his Death Eaters and dodging snatchers after Ron leaves them in the Deathly Hallows book. That their bond grows stronger and they end up having a moment where they are intermit with each other and become each others first times. It could’ve been that the horcrux locket saw that and replayed for Ron just before he destroys the locket.

She’s also said she hated killing Fred and dooming George to a lifetime of constant grief. Hard agree on that one. Fred should have survived. she did Molly dirty. Molly is LK one of the best characters in the HPverse, but she was in a supporting role the whole time. JK needs to write a Molly novel.

I would have changed Tom Riddles backstory a little bit, come from a family that hates muggles but wasn’t dirt poor. His mother was the outcast of the family and she ran off with his father. Merope keeps slipping the love potion to Tom Riddle Sr until their son is born. Then she stops slipping the potion to him. He falls out of love with her, then Merope dies of a broken heart. Tom Riddle Sr doesn’t think Tom Marvolo Riddle would suit well in their family, so he gives me up to the orphanage and lies about who he is, and says to the orphanage that the parents died of a car crash (irony right). Tom Marvolo Riddle finds out it, at a young age, but during his 4th year, when he’s learning about Horcrux’s and his family’s history, he finds out his father is very much alive, he goes to the house of Gaunt between year 4 and 5 during the summer, finds out where Tom Riddle Sr is located, Kills him, and uses the Gaunt Ring to make his first Horcrux.
Also, the 3 Gaunt family members attended Hogwarts, all in Slytherin house, and Morfin always talks about how he couldn’t get a female because females thought he was a creep because of his looks and that he could speak Parsletounge.
I would change the part where Sirius Black was killed. I love Sirius Black, and his death was an extremely hard pill to swallow.

This is big cap. There's no way J.K Rowling wanted Harry to end up with Hermione. It's forshadowed from book one that Ginny and Harry were meant for each other. Also, it's common knowledge that she wrote the last chapter of the series very early. So, she had always envisioned Harry and Ginny.
