00:00 The Evolution of Jay Z's Watch Collection
Thank you for doing this video guys!! I asked Marco a few months ago on instagram if he would do a video on Jay z's watch collection and he replied with "consider it done". I don't know if I am one of the person who sparked this video, but I'm still gonna take a little credit! hahaha
JAY Z is literally playing in another level. Also would like to point out that Pharrell wore RM's before anyone.
Nope .... Steve Stout put Jay on first. Pharrell started wearing RMs 5 years after Jay.
@@drblakeslovick4607 So Jay Z was wearing RM's back in 2001 when the company was founded?
No doubt his collection nowadays is on another level to most other collectors! I do believe Jay-Z came before Pharrell when it comes to wearing RM. Hope you enjoyed this 🙏
@@MarcoFerranteWatches Pharrell mentioned RM back in 2005. Meanwhile no one knew that an RM was.
@@Kxji Jay-Z wore an RM001 in 2002 to the Soul Train Music Awards.
Need to do a video on Ed Sheerans collection of Patek and APs piece uniques & other insane models he has in his insane collection.
We do you people bring other people that you like. Ed just started 5 years ago.
Ed Sheeran definitely has a great collection! I'd love to do a segment on Kevin Hart, John Mayer and Mark Wahlberg also!! Hope you enjoyed this 🙏
@@MarcoFerranteWatches their passion & how much effort and time they put into their collections is awesome! I find it super cool and inspiring how regardless of how expensive the watch is they use, wear on stage for a show and regular everyday life. They buy what they like, find interesting & also what pieces they may need to complete the entire run of each model in a particular series. All In All truely insane, super cool, extremely rare and expensive time pieces we are fortunate enough to see/hear and learn about thanks to John, Ed, Mark and Kevin.
Good episode fellas. 🍻
Thank you!
Thank you so much for the kind words and support 🙏
This was a fun program to hear. Thanks.
Thanks so much for the kind words and support! 🙏
Adrian "I can speak for the masses " Taskin
Fire episode. I'll take more of these
Thank you so much for the support, I really appreciate it! More videos on the way!! 🙏
The difference in Markos style from when he stranger LB to now is so funny. He’s been Alexised
Lol I'm still just me haha
People want to emulate the "Stars" they admire, that being said....Jay-Z, as well as many many others, actors, rappers, singers, professional sports stars, the wealthy, even politicians, all have done alot for watch sales.
But I have to give credit to the watch brands and their genius with marketing as well.
But, Jay-z is everywhere with his watches and has a hell of a collection.
Enjoyed this one!!😊😊
@BobbyDazzler888 so are you.
Thanks so much for your continued support Frank! Glad you enjoyed this episode 🙏
anyone else see the ed sheeran watch talk with john mayher, recently?? pretty dope 1 of 1/ oem customs, ed has had made by the legends, & also some heavy hitters
An amazing episode and awesome to see so many unique and cool pieces!
I think because of JZ is popularity make us know his collection but there is some quiet sleepers with rare collection that we don't know about .
Yes 100% .. the best collections are the ones 99.9% of people have no clue who they are or what they have!
9:25 That's Watch The Throne, not Magna Carta.
Good catch!
Jay-Z is the goat of goats for his collection. No doubt. Any other person in the public eye is a mere pretender. John Mayer may know all there is to know, but Jay-Z clearly cares and has a budget aligned with the interest that can take him wherever he wants to go. There’s a ceiling for Mr Mayer and others.
What I love about Jay-Z over John Mayer is the incredible breadth of brands he collects. He has some of the rarest and most collectible watches from the absolute best brands. His choices are just top notch and nothing in his collection - at the time he got it - was an obvious choice. Which is why I truly believe he is a trend-setter and the most influential watch collector currently
Evolution Of JAY-Z Watches - would be a better title:)
Let’s try it
The 5004 was introduced in 1995, since when was that considered “vintage”? Neo-vintage maybe
Yes neo-vintage , not vintage
Would it be weird if you caught Jay-Z watching this video.....?
Definitely weird😂
I wouldn't think it's weird, I think that'd be pretty damn insane!! 🙏
Yeah aint listening this waffling for 24 minutes
No one is forcing you 🤷♂
I reckon Ed sheeran would make a good episode like this
Awesome collection no doubt! Would also love to do one on Mark Wahlberg, John Mayer and of course Kevin Hart. Hope you enjoyed this 🙏
I always have liked Gordon Ramsay's watches.
He has a wonderful collection!!
@@MarcoFerranteWatches Do you ever have tough clients that ask for watches from a celebrity?
John Mayer is the true enthusiast.
I think there is an argument for both Jay-Z and John Mayer. I think John Mayer was more influential by bringing more people into the hobby. BUt no doubt Jay-Z had market moving potential and helped generate eyes and bring new collectors to brands that just weren't on most people's radar. Hope you enjoyed this! 🙏
Man Adrian really did his thing, you can tell he grew up on hip-hop and appreciates it. Jay put AP on the and also Rick Ross introduced me to Vacheron in 2012 and i was like what the hell is he talking about lol. Now a Vacheron overseas stainless is one of my grails.
I completely disagree, I don't think Hip Hop is the most Listen To The Music In America and as far as Jay Z, it's not like he buys a watch and then puts it on social media I think somebody more like John Mayer is definitely be a better example.

I'm assuming that's a health tracker on Adrian's wrist...what model/brand is it?
what about wahlberg?
I think he has a wonderful collection but really doesn't feature nearly the breadth of brands Jay-Z does. But a great collection none the less! Hope you enjoyed this 🙏
@@MarcoFerranteWatches always good stuff.
Y’all never talk about Ellen Degeneres
Ellen Degenerate?
Not really someone we plan on talking about lol
Something that got missed is Jay’s JLC Reverso. Ultimate gentleman’s watch
Great piece and he also has a Cartier Crash Skeleton which I also love! Incredible piece too!!
Mark Wahlberg been collecting and buying top notch watches since the 90's. I think his collection is alot more crazy than people give him credit for.
That's a lie
Mark said he bought his first no bust watch in 2001. Why you making up stuff bro.
90% of Mark's collection is Rolex
I think Mark started collecting a little bit later and he really doesn't have the variety of watches like Jay-Z does. But no doubt Mark Wahlberg has one of the absolute best collections in the world today!
Jay z
Sultan of brunei
Sultan of oman
Eric clapton
Kevin hart
Seeing people wear the pink Miami shirt is hilarious, the team is terrible !
What are you wearing cornball. Stop on different bro.
I actually like the jersey!
Y’all just copying nicos style now 🤔
Ed Sheeran, best collection.
You buggin...
@@juiceplanet147 there's a clear difference in the collecting mindset between Hip Hop guys and other collectors.
Jay-Z collection has clearly evolved from Hip Hop collector to actual collector
I think he has a wonderful collection but really doesn't feature nearly the breadth of brands Jay-Z does. But a great collection none the less!
@@MarcoFerranteWatches
Really? I don’t see Jay-Z rocking a Rodger Smith anytime soon
@@thenameiwantedwastaken Maybe not but he has some incredible vintage and neovintage Pateks as well as some wonderful classic pieces like a JLC Reverso and a Cartier Crash skeleton. The variety in his collection to me is up there with pretty much anybody..

Thank so much for the support! 🙏
What idolizing is Adrien keep talking about? Then kids? Me as grown man don't idolize any man or women..... same I teach my kids. We don't give a shit about these ppl. Idolize God only.
To say you didn't like the watch until you saw JayZ wear it isn't flattering. And this hip hop culture itself is a sad ambassador since likely 0% care about quality, complications, and mechanical genius of many watches, and only who wears it in the public eye.
By far, John Mayer is helping the broader market and is the everyman ambassador that includes collectibles and interest in the watch company itself is a better representative and sets trends as well.
Dumb comment winner 😂

I do not care about celebrities and their unobtainable watches. Wish watch guys were more realistic, who cares how many Richard Milles someone has. Ugly gshocks. Lets see some actual collectors.
You a certified hater.
So because you don't like Jay Z he's no a collector? 😂
@@drblakeslovick4607 Hes a collector, of a lot of fire and a lot of garbage.
In fairness, it's pretty normal to idolize and look up to popular figures in the world - especially in American hip-hop culture. There's no doubt Jay-Z is a trend setter and needle mover
