Exactly. I think that every time I watch Jordan's old vids on RUclips. C'mon, why has somebody not done this yet. I'd pay hundreds for digitally re-mastered old footage of Jordan, and so would many others. Can you imagine if you could buy HD copies of Jordan's first 5 seasons, every game? They wouldn't be able to keep enough of them in stock people would be buying them so fast.

During the 1984-1993 period, it would be extremely difficult, bordeline impossible, to pick any single game of Jordan, regular season or especially playoff, and not find yourself completely glued on your seat gettin'all pumped up by the spectacle.

The 80s was far more exciting to me too then the 90s. Jordan would drive in the majority of the time and get past 5 players in many cases to score especially when his team was down. This is when he averaged the highest scores. 90s was more about the jump shot, fade away for Jordan along with the triangle and a more involved team.

Micheal Jorden was the best player that I have ever seen, I was watching the Chicago Bull almost every game, and because Chicago Bull was very popular team, so most of the games will be shown on Tv, all I can say Jorden was the best.......and will never be another MJ.

Man, Michael Jordan was so explosive off the dribble when he first came into the league. His studder step around opponents was just amazing. I mean he was at midcourt with for about seven seconds dribbling the ball and suddenly he took off like a fighter jet on a runway. At 2:43, he went upstairs into the attic and straight up dunked on the Pistons' defense. He took them to the hole!! That was cold!!! M.J. was scary good!!!

  • @Raidori17

the most impressive thing about him as a rookie was his ability to constantly switch pace with the shakes and stutter steps pull ups: you don't know what he is going to come at you with. all these moves and yet he is lightning quick and can glide through the air.

Just look at how many highlight plays he made in this ONE GAME. This is what people don't understand about Jordan -- his creativity and talent were off the charts. He could create shots that no one else could. From '85-'93 you would see 4-5+ plays a night that were just mind-boggling, and even from '96-'98 you'd see a couple each game.

    • @Raidori17
      @Raidori17 9 лет назад +2

      Tim Baker
kobe was close, he has the same level of skills, but not the same mentality/approach MJ had to the game. i mean, kobe is as competitive, but he keeps shooting until he gets going instead of effecting the game in other ways. he also isn't as athletic and his hand are smaller so he doesn't have as much control over the ball. Lebron is close, has the athleticism, and the right mentality for the game, high iq, but not the level of shooting and playmaking skill that MJ and kobe have. KD is putting up MJ numbers too and he is only 25, but he is not an elite defender on the other end of the floor. so there have been guys that have gotten close to that level, and there are millions of athletic freaks out there that love basketball. statistically speaking it is only a matter of time before another great comes around.

It's better that he played in a tougher era. He loved challenge, he loved to showcase his abilities under the hardest conditions. MJ wasn't obsessed with stats. Scoring 60 points against a weaker team meant nothing for him. He would have rather scored 45 against the best defensive teams. If his team was having a huge lead he would rest, giving the bench a chance. He was obsessed with winning, whatever that meant, taking the game in his hands or making room for his team mates. This commitment for the team is something most stars nowadays don't have. That's why MJ is my hero, because he had not only the game, he had the attitude.

Not only the 6 games of 40+ points in his rookie year, but Jordan displayed an incredible all-around game from the very beginning. This included games of 34/8 reb/8 ast, 45/7/11, 32/12/8, 35/14/15, 45/8/10, 21/10/10, 49/15/5 (this game), 37/14/5, 27/9/14, 32/11/16, 20/9/10, and 35/8/10 among others. He recorded 10+ boards 12 times that season, and 10+ assists 8 times (and then two more times in the playoffs). Just an amazing rookie season.

so true. he is obviously the only one with all the elements maxing out, including the rare big hands for players in his size.
when he was about to make his first step from a stand-still state, it is impossible to stop him due to the fact that he could put the ball anywhere and then follow the ball with his insane quickness and explosiveness. when you can palm the ball so tight and move it across your head like it is glued into your hand you can do so many thing that most cant.

Its videos like these that makes Jordan untouchable. its not even worth Jordan being compared to others. he is the elite

Exactly, Jordan was about getting the ball into the basket. He was not trying out for the Harlem Globetrotters. He showed his dribbling abilities when he confounded Larry Bird in that 63 point game with the in between the legs dribble/Ali shuffle.

Man I forgot how good MJ was as a rookie. He was a unique player. Kobe is great, but he is a copy of Jordan. MJ created his own style and a whole generation of guys patterned their game after his. Does anyone know how old MJ was when he came to the NBA?

Wow, Jordan took it to Isiah this game. Just abused him. Holy COW @ how fast he moves from 2:42-2:45 for the dunk. No one at his size has ever had his quickness. And he was still growing into his body his rookie year -- he was at his quickest from '88-'90 imo. And look at how fast he gets from halfcourt to a dunk at 3:40-3:42. Wow. Like a streak of lightning.

No one ever talks about Jordan/Woolridge. They avg 51 points a game combined. R.I.P Orlando Woolridge
