To be honest, when I saw the number of pots all together in the drip video, I thought “how is she going to pull that off without it looking chaotic?”, but this idea of one prolific plant per pot is perfect! It already looks nice! I’m excited to see the progression.

@@AlinasFamily I am thinking most people don’t have that many pots. For example if you have 6 pots in your stash of pots you plant 6 plants that’s not slot of money . Even if you have 2 pots . 2 plants is very budget friendly. Most people don’t plant on the scale that Laura plants .

"It might look really cute today.." Haha. You can certainly hear the skepticism in Laura's voice. This will be interesting to see! Definitely will give people who are more budget-conscious some options knowing how large the plants will get individually.

I so agree. I love watching Laura plant in real time even though Ive watched her so many times before. I liked that they saved the speeded up version for the second set of pots. Will never get tired of watching Laura plant in real time and listening to her teaching. My garden is amazing this year thanks to all her info and advice.

Hi Laura, I love watching your videos I have learned so much however, I'm now watching my 2 year grandson so gardening is hit and miss. I did find time to plant some flowers but I have a question, I have never experienced ants making their home in my flower pots and they are killing my flowers. I have also found a super tiny bug that is super fast and there are many of them and they have eaten the roots off my flowers and it's so sad. They were beautiful flowers and the time I spent planting them is just thrown out window not to mention the money I spent, so can you help me figure out what to do to kill the ants and also kill the horrible fast little bugs maybe a mite I don't know? I just know I'm so very frustrated and would so appreciate some help from a master gardner such as yourself. Or if anyone out there reads the comments and has any advice, I would be so very grateful. Thank you Terri from Oregon

Great idea, Laura. This will show folks that they can actually save money by using less plants and using fertilizer to assure proper growth to the plant. Another good idea that I would show is planting some containers with the same plants. Fertilize only one of the planters to compare with one where fertilizer isn't used. That way, your viewers can see for sure just how fertilizer works to make plants their best!

One without fertilizer, one with only one of the "tone" fertilizers and then one with regular liquid feeding. A pic midway through the summer and another in Aug. I always wonder if I'm wasting money and time with my fertilizing.

Way to go Aaron & Laura. Bet she'll be really surprised how much she likes the one pot wonders :) Since they're in a grouping, it's really like one big container with different plants. Ah, a new recipe. Can't wait to see updates.

I think this will look beautiful. Great idea, Aaron. It also gives people on a smaller budget an idea of what they can create with a potscape and a few vigorous plants. 🏆

This is such great idea. It not only showcases the induvial plants but also show people, with a lower budget, that they can do this successfully. I must admit, I've sometimes felt that you can plant so many plants because you got them inexpensively from PW. Perennials I can justify but I have often found myself looking lustfully at annual displays in the garden centers knowing that they are not in the budget.

I am so glad you are doing this. Aaron must have been watching Claus Dalby talk about his planting one plant per pot. I am more like you Laura, the more the merrier, but will be trying this out too! Looking forward to the wonderful display!

I love the finished product! It was hard to visualize at first, but I think having one plant per pot is very calming and pleasing to the eye. It will become even more stunning as the plants fill out. Love this approach for groups of pots!
