Love the fact that you and Aaron are choosing focus on what matters most to you and your family! I worked in Television for a number of years and the minute you allow them into your world, they will make you lots of promises, hide numerous caveats deep in the contract, and demand that you do things that you never planned to do. Laura, I can see you being a nurse. I appreciate what you said about nurses being called, and it was wise of you to realize it wasn’t your calling. The loving way you care for your plants, chickens, cats and your family probably means you have a caregiver within you, which maybe lead you to nursing. Wonderful that you found out your calling is for plants rather than people, though. Instead you are healing people with your beautiful flowers. I made the switch from healthcare to horticulture, and the two overlap at times.

Hi Laura, Aron and don’t forget, Benjamin! Me and my partner are renovating our kitchen so I miss gardening. It’s 05:24 am in The Netherlands and I can’t sleep. It’s raining outside and I’m thinking about the kitchen over and over again, it drives me nuts! When I took out my phone and saw this amazing 40+ min video that you just uploaded, I grabbed myself a cup of coffee and watched the video. You magically shifted my mind from this messy, wrecked kitchen back to my garden. Tranquility and peaceful thoughts took over... thank you! You gave me a new energy boost and can’t wait to finish this kitchen and get back to my small, priceless garden. All inspired by you and your entire family. Laura, you’re not thinking properly on this greenhouse question. You obviously need two Hartley Botanic greenhouses: One to serve as more of a conservancy and for entertaining and another for more practical pursuits. 😀

Also, their time. They could shoot four to six videos in two to three days, hand it off to their editor and have the rest of the week to plan other projects, maintain their property or just hang out. Once you're on someone else's schedule (a tv show producer), you're on their schedule. In other words, they're your BOSS.
Worst idea ever for these two.

As I'm reading the comments about you and TV. I think about what I've gained since finding your chnl. Lots of tips and techniques but the biggest is introduction to so many plants that I can't find in the big box stores. We don't have a garden center like you family's so before you I was limited to what those stores carry. Now you show something I like and I google it and get it sent right to my house, THANK YOU for that.

Lol oh my goodness I can’t believe my question made it into a video on here(and of course it had to have a typo in it 😂)!! I am in Boise and found you about the time quarantine started, and since I’ve had so much time on my hands I’ve watched almost every single video you have ever made and am sad I can’t binge watch anymore lol. You’ve inspired me so much at a time when I was so stressed out and have had so much anxiety, as I’m sure many people can relate too.
You got me to get out and get busy and start having fun creating a garden and little oasis for myself. I can’t tell you how much joy I’ve had watching you and your family and how much you’ve lifted my spirits at such a hard time. I’ve had more fun tinkering outside and creating my own personal little sanctuary then I can even begin to tell you, and it’s all thanks to you! I am so so blown away that my question and comment made it into your video. It seriously just made my day!!
I watched yesterday’s video where you were talking about the drift of chlorosis and it’s definitely the problem I have with my supertunias. So that answered my question already, but the fact that my comment made it in your video has me freaking out in an awesome way over here!!! Thanks Laura and Aaron !!
P.S. Benjamin couldn’t be any more adorable running around in the background’

It's always a treat to have Benjamin and Aaron in the videos. And always a joy to see your mom too. She's so much fun. I love her laughter. I enjoy your talent and authenticity. Thank you for inspiring me to get out there and plant. Prior to finding you, my garden was so sad looking. Now it's a beautiful, relaxing place I love to sit back and enjoy my mornings and evenings.
