Laura, you are 14 short days post-op from a major abdominal surgery. (RN here.) You just spent nine months growing an entire, beautiful human! You are probably sleep deprived. Only having minor word finding difficulty, and making potentially short answers a bit longer, is demonstration of how wonderfully you are truly doing. Plus, you are working and making videos!! I am amazed by you two!! Thanks for another wonderful video to take our minds off of lockdowns and stress and too many ill patients. Take care and keep healing and resting when you can. The cobwebs will keep, as they say. LOL!!
Thank you for being a nurse, and for all you've done during this pandemic. I have several nurse friends so I know it's been tough for you all! You are blessings ❤️❤️
Thanks to you wonderful nurses and docs. I was hospitalized in January with Covid and the people there were amazingly kind and professional. I don't have enough superlatives to express how I feel. Take care of yourself, too. :)
Jezi - Thank you for your work as a nurse. My Mom was a nurse for 30 years, so I know a bit of the hard things. I also heard so many people tell me what a wonderful nurse she was. I can tell you are skilled, caring and compassionate. You also know a great gardener, and person, when you see one. (Laura is always amazing, but especially now. I had a C-section and I know I wouldn't be posting a video after two weeks!) I hope you will do some self care. Please know you are appreciated!
My cats were always obsessed with the babies. They tolerated everything even after the kids were mobile. The second birthday is about the time the cats started discipline.
When I had my youngest, I had 3 kitties. My female cat had no intrest, but my 3 Male cats were obsessed with him. My older make more so. We would find him always wanting to snuggle next to the baby. He passed away when my son was 2. After he passed my other Male cat became super protective over my son. He always had to have an eye on him. When he would be outside and my son would toddle off away from me, Henry would run to cut my son off or stop him from going to far. My son is almost 9 and the cat still follows him everywhere. It's such an amazing bond.
Laura, in spite if how miserable you felt before Samantha Grace was born, you never let it show. You are such a professional and a trooper! Glad all is going so well for the four of you. Stay well and be blessed!!
Woohooo...Aaron volunteering to create flower alley. I remember him saying he didn’t enjoy planting the competition containers. Can’t wait to see what he chooses! It would also be fun to let Benjamin help choose 💕
I love your comment because I was thinking the same thing......will Aaron plant the plants and colours that he likes? 😆 I’m really looking forward to seeing this and I also like the idea of an experiment with different fertiliser/none 👍
Samantha Grace is beautiful it seems like Benjamin is not at all jealous but Russel is another matter. He’s hilarious he wants to be up in front of the camera or in your lap. What a ham! Love it and your beautiful family
Awww, look at Russell trying to get there to get the baby attention he used to get when Laura would put him on her lap while doing her recap videos. Laura looks radiant with family, new baby girl and Benjamin and Aaron. This is one of the things so many people are fans of. Her real life style and relate-ability!
Flower Alley with Aaron sounds like fun. Amazing how fast Benjamin is growing up, Wow! Thank you for sharing your beautiful family with us. Growing season for sure.
It so cool to think that in 5-10 years, when you are talking about doing garden projects with kids, like fairy gardens and such, you could actually show you doing them with your kids. So cute. You've got adorable kids.
The saying goes, “There is more than one way to skin a cat.” Y’all keep doing what you do. You know jealous, bored or narcissistic people have to put their 2 cents in. You guys are doing great.
As I watch this video with Russell vying for space and attention, and precious Samantha Grace chillin-the scene is too adorable for words❤️ as a grandmother of ten and great grandmother of two-i can tell you these are sweet, sweet days to cherish forever. By the way-you two know she won’t be this calm for long. I predict the antics in your family will fill your videos-and be something we all will enjoy and are looking forward to. 💕
I just wanted to comment on how full of grace your responses are to all questions. I so appreciate how you share a positive perspective with the world. My granddaughters (5&7yrs old)love to watch your videos and it’s great that they are learning more than just a love of gardening by watching you. An inspiration in living and in gardening!💕
Aaron, no apology for lighting necessary . . i am thankful to see everyone healthy and happy! where i grew up, it snowed twice in 60 years so we used to make "snowmen" out of the tumbleweeds (including hat, scarf and mittens and spray painted white)
Ok, you are going to have to give us some video of Samantha Grace when she's awake, she's just too chill! Russell is cracking me up. Kids and pets are priceless
You have a beautiful daughter and cute son, you are blessed!!! I love how you handle negative comments with such grace. You and Aaron a great team...love watching your channel!
Ive only been gardening for 10 years or so.... Learnt more from your videos in a few months than in 9 years or so.... If Laura and Aaron say plant a tree this way... I'm gonna take their advice.... I managed to grow my first greenpepper from seed... I have 4 plants now...they have greenpeppers on... Yay!!!! Thanx Laura... Through this very long and lonely year for me, you've given me inspiration to grow again....
I think Russell believes Samantha Grace is his new girl friend... what a sweet girl and hysterical cat...and if Benjamin gets any cuter I'm gonna melt. Your family is truly treat to watch
Wow, she is such a good baby! Mine always woke up if they heard my voice and then demanded all my attention. Life was great as a mom, but ever so much better as a grandmother! lol
Benjamin reminds me so much of my grandson. He loved trains so much that he would play for hours lining up his Thomas the trains while watching the Thomas the train shows. I would tease him that watching Thomas is like watching paint dry. He would get mad and say NOT paint dry lol. He’s 9 now and watching Benjamin brings back those good memories.
Laura, I want to say that you are my MMOOSSTT FFAAVVOORRIITTEE personality on screen. You have a cheerful, happy and so very charming attitude. (Sorry if you feel my comment is personal.) I adore all your videos, you have given gardening a new dimension for me. ( your family is so cute, god bless and protect you all.)
My childhood home was absolutely purchased out of a Seas catalog in 1920! We found the plans and order sheet when my dad was remodeling the basement. They were in a wall.
Love the idea of Aaron wanting to keep the flower alley routine going!! Thanks appreciate!! Beautiful family!! Thank you all for making all the videos!
She is adorable! As a safety tip, when she gets older and starting to squirm, make sure you remove her headband when taking a nap . The head band can slip down and cover her nose. Please do not be offended, I have heard of babies being smothered by headbands with big bows.
You are correct I seen a lady in the store this happen to her baby the headband slip off her baby's head and was over the baby's nose she was not aware I seen the baby moving I let her know she just kept saying thank you so much for seeing this.I have learned alot from other parents.
Congratulations on your beautiful Samantha Grace! Watching this video, and Russell trying to get close to her, reminds me of my cat when I had my own baby girl. I finally gave up shooing him away from her - he would sit on the arm of the couch and lick the top of her head - it would put her instantly asleep and he seemed to be really happy to help take care of her! Russell's persistence just brought that back to me!! Enjoy your family!!!
Laura, you didn't have to address criticism but you did and handled it beautifully. I loved watching Russell interested in little Samantha. She's precious.
The most beautiful BIG trees I see are Copper Beech Trees! They are gorgeous and smooth barked- I think they look fairy like! Not sure if you can grow them there, appears to be a northeastern tree- but I love the leaves in all seasons and I can picture a big swing off one of it's branches! Look at your baby girl, her perfect lil' face is the SWEETEST! PS: My nephew also had his second baby recently- his first, like Benjamin is the perfect big brother- can't help but share how sweet he is with his new brother and that they too, make sure to share special time with him apart from baby
Our century home is a Montgomery Ward catalog house that was shipped by train. During our home renovation, we learned that the house has double sheathing. They built houses to last back then! I think it's fun to look at old house plans, too, especially the old Victorians. Baby Samantha Grace is adorable! She looks like much older than she is. Benjamin was so cute wanting to help his Mama with the video. I bet he could help you sign off: "We'll see you in the next one." How cute would that be!
Had to laugh about the driving. I was surprised to see you driving, too. I was told 2 weeks, no driving. But, I'm your Mom's age and thought maybe times have changed. Now I have to look up that planting method brought up by a commenter. Hilarious that she actually wrote you are killing your trees. Actually burst out laughing!!!!
Loved seeing Benjamin and Samantha Grace! You are a blessed family and are wished only the best. Thank you for sharing your life with us. Glad your recovery is going well. Take everything at whatever pace is best for all of you💐❤️
This was a wonderful film to watch again. Samantha Grace is a sweet child. Benjamin got big so quickly. Your show is “perfect “. Your no designs always turn out decorative and gorgeous.
I had two c sections and when I saw you driving I was surprised also. They told me that I could not drive or life heavy things for at least 3 -4 weeks. Driving was because if you are in an accident you might hurt the staples. I am just glad that you are feeling so well you feel well enough to to leave. It took me a good month to bounce back. Love all you do!
I had 4 c-sections. My last one was 25 years ago. My staples were removed before I ever left the hospital and I was told I could start driving once I was no longer in need of pain killers stronger than tylenol. It's crazy how different doctors have different rules.
Postpartum nurse here! Staples are almost never used now, internal dissolvable stitches are almost always used. Hospitals never really want a patient to drive themselves home for liability reasons. We will tell moms not to drive if they’re using Norco or Percocet, both of which are common meds to send home with a recovering c-section mom.
@@katie_lundberg I am glad things have changed. The staples always stressed me when I had to have them removed! I was to tired to drive anywhere after the births and did not bonce back as fast as Laura! Thanks for your information.
@@jenniferolague6926 Wow-I was sent home with the staples and had to go back to get them removed. It always made me nervous-I felt nothing, so my worry was for nothing. Glad things have changed for the better.
Hey Laura and Aaron, you know that no one was paying any attention to you guys and we were all watching Samantha Grace sleep. How nice to have a peaceful calm baby, you are indeed blessed. Maybe we'll pay attention to you guys in the next video. 🌟
I can’t make it past the first few minutes without cracking up over Russell. 😹He wants his fav person’s (Laura’s) lap....he’s not use to someone being there when you’re filming. I thought the baby looked like Aaron when you filmed in the hospital ....Benjamin definitely looks like your Mom😊
Loving that Aaron wants to take over Flower Alley! I’ve enjoyed the container competitions you’ve had in the past - Aaron has a good eye and it’s fun to watch you two working together. I get excited when I can get my husband to give his opinion on which bulbs to order. I’d love to see him plant a few containers:)
Laura, I love how you politely handle rude and opinionated comments! You are an exceptional person, love you and your well-grounded approach and your family.
I smiled the whole way through with Samantha-Grace in your arms, giggled when Russel tried in vein to get to you lap and was just pleased for you that you getting back to your other great passion in life... gardening. It’s summer here in Australia so things are very different but you always bring me great inspiration. Thank you all, including Russell 🐱
It's such a treat to see your new baby girl! Seeing Benjamin though remains the highlight for me. He does seem to be fine with sharing you, thankfully. Thank YOU for waiting patiently for Benjamin to collect his thoughts so he can talk. You're such a loving mother! Garden Answer is the best 💞
Your energy and productivity are INSANE. How on earth do you do it? The only thing I can say is you’re genetically gifted as well as psychologically keen to MOVE and work as much as you do. I get tired just watching you LOL but you’re still inspirational. Thank you.
My babies were not sleepers, how lovely to see a sleeping baby! Samantha Grace looks so peaceful, I imagine she is soothed by your voice, very used to listening to you talk in these videos.
I love how you accept negative comments and answer so politely. I had to laugh at myself because I always think people are so rude telling you how to do and not do things, then seeing you lift pots or soil knowing you had a cesarean. As a nurses I’m thinking wait Laura that is too heavy! Lol 🤦🏼♀️ I love your videos and those babies!❤️
Yes! A "when to sew seed" video would be so helpful! Also a "what to cook with these herbs" video. I grow herbs and then fall short with using them. So I've stopped growing so many.
Her answer about over complicating is very true in many hobbies. Some People don’t start anything because they feel like if they don’t do it exactly like a “professional” then they can’t do it at all. Same with quilting.....many don’t start or try because they doom themselves before they even begin cutting or threading the needle. Good answer Laura.
Russell is trying so hard to get back to his old routine and lay on your lap but Samantha Grace took his spot. Life changes. As always love your channel.
One plant per pot is a great way to try out a new plant that you've never grown before. Or sometimes I buy a 1 gal shrub on clearance, pop it into a 12-14" container with Biotone and good soil for a year or two to give it a really great new start. I have some lovely azaleas, dwarf spruce and boxwood planters on my deck that started out this way. A great way to allow a $3-$5 clearance plant to shine anew!
Russel wants to love the baby. I regret not letting my cat be near my baby. She loved that baby and wanted to be with him but I believed all the old wives tales so kept her away. When she realized she wasn't going to be allowed, her love turned off and never again did she want to be near him. There is nothing sweeter than a cat/child friendship.
And this is “why” i am starting to garden after alll of these years.... because you make me feel that it is ok to “just do it”. The “professionals” make you feel as if you CAN’T!!!!! Thank you, Laura. 💕🌷🌺🌸🌼🌻🌳
Right. For normal people she makes a lot of "mistakes" but for me, she's experimenting. She makes it feel that its ok to garden and experiment and to NOT over complicate things. At the end of the day, plants want to grow.
Laura I am so thankful I found your channel. I gardened many years ago, then life happened. When the Pandemic hit I picked it back up. I needed a lot of advice so I turned to youtube and there you were.I am so wired like you I can't leave the house without coming back with plants. I bought the most beautiful succulents yesterday at the Dollar Store, go figure. You so inspire me.
Wow, your upbeat optimism is really awe inspiring. I would never have been able to handle that know-it-all's comment so politely. Talk about condescending...
Baby Samantha Grace is so precious and adorable. I see a future Gardner💕 She is so relaxed in your arms listening to mommy give out so much helpful planting information. Love your videos.
Laura you handle the know-it-all’s with such grace and character. Says so much about you! I don’t think I could be that nice!
I thought the same thing! I don’t think I would be able to deal with that. Lol Their ability to laugh things off and take things with a grain of salt is always so inspiring to me because I would struggle with it and I’d want to make a snarky comment back. 😆

I get excited when I can get my husband to give his opinion on which bulbs to order. I’d love to see him plant a few containers:)
Russell is trying to mark her as his. He is rubbing his sent on her so everyone will know that she is his human.❤❤🐈
I am sooo happy for this video. It was like catching up with a friend. Thanks for including us in your life.
Awwwww little baby Samantha Grace and little Benjamin are both soooooo beautiful ❤️❤️
Oh my goodness Kitty wants to Love the Baby so much, so so cute.
Laura..Russel is showing protectiveness and care..he is part of family and feels like Benjamin..Benjamin is tje sweetest.
I love your idea Laura of trying the different fertilizers in the pots. I have always wondering which is really the best.
Your energy and productivity are INSANE. How on earth do you do it? The only thing I can say is you’re genetically gifted as well as psychologically keen to MOVE and work as much as you do. I get tired just watching you LOL but you’re still inspirational. Thank you.
Russel trying to get in on the snuggling 🥰 loved seeing his little biscuts
My babies were not sleepers, how lovely to see a sleeping baby! Samantha Grace looks so peaceful, I imagine she is soothed by your voice, very used to listening to you talk in these videos.
Russel needs his air time. He loves the camera. My kitty loves watching him
I love how you accept negative comments and answer so politely.
Love this video. Samantha Grace is so adorable! And Benjamin’s sweet self❤️❤️❤️.
What a beautiful baby girl! I love her bow and matching outfit! Russell wanted to get in your lap so bad. So sweet! 💖
I think Russell is jealous. He wants his spot...lol
Exactly what I was thinking! He was trying to tell you "you're in my spot"
Yea!
Nar, he's just gained another "spot". Kids always have the snuggliest blankies haha.
Kitties are really sensitive to additions in the family
i agree, he seems to want attention. im not a cat lover so i will keep it away from the baby.
Loved seeing baby girl throughout this video. It was such a treat, couldn’t stop looking at that peaceful little face! Beautiful family! 🌿🌸🌿
The baby sounds are just the best!
I think Samantha Grace heard you talk so much doing videos during your pregnancy that it is soothing to her! She is so cute and you look wonderful!
Russell is trying so hard to get back to his old routine and lay on your lap but Samantha Grace took his spot. Life changes. As always love your channel.
Samantha Grace looks like a doll! 😍
Russell was like hey y'all are in my spot mover over!😂
Russel wants to love the baby. I regret not letting my cat be near my baby. She loved that baby and wanted to be with him but I believed all the old wives tales so kept her away. When she realized she wasn't going to be allowed, her love turned off and never again did she want to be near him. There is nothing sweeter than a cat/child friendship.
I LOVE Baby sounds. She is Absolutely Adorable. 👶👶👶
Sweet Russell! He just wants some loving too. He needs to see who's getting all your loveys and get some for himself!
Russell cracks me up, poor thing wants to squeeze in and be on camera too!
Awww the sweet little sounds she makes
She’s probably so used to hearing her mom talk that it’s probably soothing for her!
Absolutely loving to see that beautiful baby first thing when I turned on the vlog. Makes me smile so much! 🥰 Blessings to you all.
Love all those video's, Benjamin is growing so fast. That Russell seems a little jealous for his lap time today. lol
I love hearing baby breathing and making those adorable little baby squeaks!!!!
Wow, your upbeat optimism is really awe inspiring. I would never have been able to handle that know-it-all's comment so politely. Talk about condescending...
I thought the same thing! So rude!!
@@kathleensabourin556 Me three! Myself I've become much less fussy with planting following Laura's example.Guess what the sky didn't fall!
@Garden Party love your comment
Baby Samantha Grace is so precious and adorable. I see a future Gardner💕 She is so relaxed in your arms listening to mommy give out so much helpful planting information. Love your videos.
