I don't care if it's not garden related, I just enjoy watching you and Mom have a good time together. Ann's parents have passed and so has my Mom so we can't enjoy a day like that. Cherish every minute.
You and Ann can do these trips!! Many of us in the same boat and it's about how you row.
Yea Dennis ... I miss my mom... no more spending a weekday afternoon taking her out for lunch and 3 hrs grocery shopping and browsing the mall with her. I trade a weekday off and work Saturday so she can avoid the crowds on weekends.
Now.. it’s time for me to start a new tradition with my soon to be daughter in law and do a monthly or every 6 weeks browsing flea markets, etc. shopping with her.
Waiting for covid to be done .....
A daughter in law can be like a daughter ....I hope we grow to be like that.

I enjoyed this immensely! My mom died just before quarantine. I can’t believe it’s been a year. I used to take her to lunch and a movie the last few years. When she was healthier her favorite thing was to shop for her grandchildren. I miss her.

That setee is called a chaperone chair. It was for someone to sit in the room with a young couple who were courting. It’s made the way it is so the chaperone could put their feet up and read or do needlework. Those zany Victorians!

I love seeing you and your mom together and enjoying your shopping excursions. Your mother is an enabler even more than my mother was. Miss my mom. We were military families and she would come visit wherever we were (except Germany).She died in 2010 of early onset Alzheimer’s disease and I miss her. I can’t express to you how much I enjoy these videos of you and your mom just bonding through a mutual fondness for antiquing. I lost my mother in law, who was very much like a mom to me, a couple of years ago. She was the one who introduced and got me into antiquing, it was something I very much enjoyed doing with her. Watching this brought tears to my eyes... I miss her very much. During a time when it’s strange to go out, thank you for this video. 💝

I felt for Laura trying to get up in that big truck. My sister drives a tall truck. Once, my nephew-in-law had to bring out the step ladder so I could climb aboard. (This was a couple Thanksgivings ago so there was some after-dinner bloat involved.)
My mom passed away several years ago and I miss her so much. However, watching you and your mom together is so enduring and in a strange way, helps me miss her less. You two are such a blessing.❤️

My mother has been gone for 36 years. I lost her at 25. My very very favorite things you put on here are with you and your Mother on girls outings. My mother and I spent every Saturday together shopping after a lunch at Ruby Tuesday's. I still miss it so much. We were like you and your Mother together. We had so much fun and laughed together. The love of a mother and daughter is like no other. No one will ever "get me" like she did.

Thanks for sharing your time with your Mother. It brought back so many wonderful memories of my Mother and I before she escalated in her Parkinson illness. I will be starting this tradition with my granddaughters and continuing this wonderful tradition my Mother brought into out lives.

Hi Laura, when I had my first child Julia, my mother went antique shopping and bought me a whole lot of single bud vases for my child to pick single flowers. Best gift ever. Great in bathrooms or beside the sink in the kitchen. Perfect... present.
