Thanks for watching! What are two things you want to improve on from your last self-haircut?
This haircut how-to is worth the price of the course. When I can afford it, I'll will getting just from this tutorial. I already have to knowledge I want, but the teacher/master should be compensated so he can continue to share his knowledge.
My comment below is only an hour ago. I just got out of the shower to raise off the hair. I haven't even styled it yet and I know it's the haircut I've been chasing for years. I've spent up to $60 for this haircut and while they get close, it's never been this good. And it's my first time. When I get a pair of thinner shears, I'm going to be unstoppable. I can't even tell you how excited I am to be able to cut my own hair in the exact haircut I want.
Thank you again Alex for sharing this and helping me out.
Ita amazing best self hair cut i have ever seen, plus you have good hair. Easier to cut then straight asian style hair. Awesome job
Your haircuts have improved, great work alex!
Definitely definitely agreed!! Plus #COYG⚽️⚽️🔴⚪️🔴⚪️
Lever Closed = Pressed forward (lever @ 40 degree angle)
Level Open = Press backward (vertical)
Step 1: No guard w/ lever closed - Starting from an ear and @ the bottom of hair, trim up to the corner of eyebrow, all the way around following occipital
Step 2: No guard w/ lever open - Do the same, moving 1" up and through the previous line
Step 3: No guard w/ lever 1/2 open, make the line less prominent by using an upward and outward motion
Step 4: No guard w/ lever closed, finish fading the line by doing the same until line is gone
Step 5: Using a 1 Guard with lever open, trim the same way again, moving 1" up and through the previous line
Step 6: 1/2 Guard lever open, fade out the next line by using the same upward and outward motion
Step 7: 2 Guard with lever open, trim up and through 1" above the new line
Step 8: 1 & 1/2 Guard, lever closed, fade the line out using the same upward and outward motion
Step 9: Using shears and a comb @ 90 degree vertical, fade the long top hair @ desired length
Step 10: Part hair down the middle and cut hair to desired length
Step 11: Go over all remaining hair, at desired length, with shears at 45 degree angle to point cut to length.
Very impressed with the outcome. First time seeing a video that delivered what the title claimed. Good job!
Man, this hair cut looks very clean and easy to perform!
Amazing job 👌💪🔥
freaking amazing video, i am about to have my first ever self haircut ill do it watching this video!
Good job, i love your videos, im actually watching them because i want to learn how to cut both of my son's hair and my boyfriend's since paying for 3 hair cuts is kind of expensive
Best haircut by far!! Forget being self haircut even most barbers cant do a better job than that.
So true! I've been asking barbers for years to cut a decent skinfade/Quiff. Now to try and teach myself!
Love this video! I'm trying to learn new techniques to cut my toddlers hair and this video has given me new ideas and different ways to cut his hair. Him being so young, the less steps I can do with a natural descent cut is a win for me 😁🤞🏻.
Just did this cut on myself ! Such a clear explanation.
I am a female and started cutting my own undercut. Now that I've mastered that I'm ready to chop all my hair off. I've been hiding mistakes under my long hair but I'm going all in! Thank you for your help!
That sounds invigorating! Let it blossom Hannah. Keep doing what you do best
you are an amazing self-barber. i like your hairstyle plus the product that makes it look its best. hope someday you'd do it with a model
Bro you should start using shaver, for shaving everything below 0 line to skin, its gonna look much better with more contrast
Bruh this guy putting barbers out of business. Nice vid brother.
Best self haircutter on youtube
Subscribed to your channel because of this video. Out of all the videos I’ve watched for men’s haircuts, not one has explained quite as succinct as you. This was EXACTLY what I needed on how to improve my husband’s biweekly haircuts with fades and my two son’s quarterly haircuts 🤣 Thank you so much!!!! Bless you Alex!
Excellence. My fav. I am going to go try my luck. Thanks for your content!
you have very good hair genetics.. perfect combination of straight and wavy, and very thick/dense growth.. great tuto !
Love all the little tips you give out, very helpful. Thanks
Lookin good as always, Alex! One of the best cuts yet!

Alex! Thank you for making your videos has really helped me and this guide is super easy 🙌🏽
Bro, I thought you cheated the look at the beginning. I'm like, no way he did that himself. I cut my own hair, covid and I'm lazy about scheduling appointments. One day I needed a haircut and was a few drinks into Jack and thought what the heck, it's only hair and it well grow back. I was pleased with the results and got a few compliments, I started doing it sober and got better results. Now I want to up my game to different styles comb-backed undercut.
Thank you for making this video. I'll be checking out others as I need haircuts.
Ima try it out Alex ! I’m excited bro!
Nice INTRO IDOL..I ALWAYS WATCHING YOUR VIDEO THAT'S WHY I STARTED TO PRACTICE DOING SELF HAIRCUT....MORE POWER.
this was the best selfcut in ur whole carer
Hey bro thanks to the motivation and thanks for your videos I can finally say I can do my self haircut today! 💪🏻
Thanks! Your videos have been incredibly helpful
How does your hair grow so fast
Lol I get this a lot, but I cut my hair every 2 weeks. Maybe it grows in slightly faster than other people.
Greek genes
I was thinking the same 🤣🤣
I cut my hair weekly sometimes. When you get a bald fade your hair grows pretty quickly. A fade lasts about one week
@Ethan Hughes Fair point.
Tee conees vre? Megalo haircut. Faddisto! Oreo!
I think you should try a skin fade with this look next time you definitely suit it I myself go for the last Xmas robbie williams style quiff with skin fade no texture love what you do on ur channel man keep it coming
Brilliant video Alex these are invaluable during the Covid-19 pandemic. I am going to follow this guide and hopefully it turns out just as good.
This came out very clean thanks for details gonna try it
Best tutorial i've ever seen👍👍
Fresh! Can you do a high fade tutorial?
After so many times watching your videos i finally subscribed to your channel because of this.
That was good self haircut.

That’s is the best one yet Alex awesome job
Nice tutorial, forgot about point cutting. Will try next time
Nice cut,
What about very low fade? Can you make a video about it?
Perfection in everything
Thaaaaaaanks for this 🙌🏼 looks super cute
Barber shop might shut down because of this guy 😂
Can u do a low fade? I love it but don't know how to do it
So fresh and so clean clean......👌
Frankly, if you want the truth, it is thanks to you and thanks to your videos that I learned to do my hair on my own a big hat for you.
I think I find my next hair style! Thank you :)
Dope job amigo! Keep shining!
6:50 Cutting the top of his hair
8:15 Applying product

Thankyou for the video! Helped me out alot! Keep up man🇧🇷❤
Awesome cut
Getting the top side bull is the worst! I’ll grab some thinning shears
Best haircut to date and best style I've seen on you! Will you go back in with the T trimmer to clean up the back of your neck tho?
Sometimes I will and sometimes I won't. I would say most of the time I do clean up my neck hairs with my trimmer. But thank you!
@@AlexKouras Makes sense. You’re welcome! And I appreciate the like and response to my comment! Officially subscribed!
Super fresh!
You great man ✂️🧨 you became better and better 💈✂️
Looks amazing.. trying it now :)
Hi Alex - do you prefer using thinning sheers over clipper over comb? If so, how come?
Sick haircut man, my wahl clippers didn’t come with the 0.5 and 1.5 guard, where can I get them from
You can find them on 3rd party websites for $1-3 each guard
💯 gonna do this.
Alex when are you going to do a video that shows how to use the clippers or beard trimmers to cut in a part line on your hair? I haven’t seen one, or maybe I missed it.
Whoaaaa🔥💈fresh bro
I think u should try to bald out the cut with a shaver or disposable razor it’ll give u more longevity as well as gradience
Love the beats
as the time go by your getting better
This is pretty cool!!!
Hey, how often do you fade your hair? Every week or so? And how long did it take you to master the technique?
4:09 could you replace the 0.5 lever closed with a 1 open? Or no guards open?
No guard open, but only use use the corners tho
@@AngelM-ii2yl Appreciate it lol, did not realise I still made a comment on this lol.
Best haircut .... mann ur hair so 🔥🔥🔥
when you use the perimeter guideline and cutting it of at a 45 degree angle is a straight 45 or does it curve?
Hello I'm Chris Carnes I Like Watching Your Videos
You got any tips on styling hair like how you do yours usually (the side part with volume on top hairstyle), but without product? At the moment i cant get any hair product or use a hairdryer, got any tips to still have a decent hairstyle?
7:07 I‘m not saying his name, but we all know how you look like 😂😂😂
Cool man it came up so cleaan
But what to do if i dont have the 0.5 guard ?
Buy one
Lol🤣🤣
Don't quote me but I think a 0.5 would be the clipper without a guard but fully opened.
Bro if you buy cordless clippers, and shavers, also zero gap your clippers your fade would be next level
Good haircut . Try also a longer style and see if you like it
Best tutorial on yt no cap💪🏾
Hey Alex. Why don't you invest in a self cut mirror? I'm actually surprised none of the companies have reached out. Or have they?
Fire
Nice Bro ,
I am from India ,❤️🔥
Would that 45 degree scissor trick work for a crop top?
Can i use normal scissors instead of a thinning shear?
Wish me luck boys
Bro how to bland in Secssor no use thinner
I always go for a whole buzz cut even on the top
You should buy yourself some Wahl 5 star seniors and use them in a video, since its not too expensive.
Why though?
do a low fade
You didn’t show us how you trim with the trimmer on the right side of ur head. I struggle in being able to hold the comb and trimmer at the same time
Sir please tell me
You using trimmer in this video
Trimmer name and model name
A parte que tem que usar a tesoura é a mais difícil
Bro,i don't have 0.5 guard,so how can i make it
They're very inexpensive. Buy a 0.5 and 1.5 guard!
no guard closed
no guard open
no guard 0.5 open @ hardline
no guard 0.5 open flick @ hardline
#1 guard open
#0.5 guard closed (andis#0 guard) flick @ hardline
#2 guard open and flick
#1.5 guard closed @ hardline
Wondeful 👍
🤩 wow
