a detailed video about latency compensation, syncing each instrument on point/beat in the daw (do you use audiotracks or "external instrument"-tracks?), etc. would be helpful.

Should I ever figure out how to properly manage latency I‘ll let you know :D

Currently my solution is to monitor the gear live directly through the audio interface (no latency and perfect sync with ableton’s clock)
Ableton records tracks while they are muted. When working with the recordings later on I adjust their timing manually to account for latency.
If you want reverb / delay etc. from ableton while monitoring live you can unmute the record channel and pit the reverb to 100% wet (or route to an ableton send). this way only your reverb has latency while recording. Afterwards you adjust the timing and dry wet mix.
Regarding latency compensation in ableton: When the option is turned on it accounts for latency between tracks within ableton. A track with 20 plug ins will have more latency then a track with 2 plug ins. When latency compensation is turned on, ableton delays all tracks until the last track is finished processing. By default this setting is turned of for some reason. In my experience however this feature doesn‘t seem to help with external gear.

    Put Felix in the thumbnail!
Just a bit of feedback for Thomann… I might or might not care that much about whatever new piece of gear in the thumbnail, but finding out after clicking that it’s a video from Felix where he’s making real music and talking about it is always a treat.
So I’ll say it again: put Felix in the thumbnail!

Thanks for the video! I've read on Arturia's website that the analog outputs are DC-coupled, and therefore can be used to control modular gear. Have you had the chance to try that? I've been trying to (using Ableton's CV tools) but no luck so far, probably I'm missing an obvious step. A small video on that would be super helpful! :)

The price is nice for so many inputs and sound quality. Still running my Behringer U-Phoria UMC1820. Not a bad sound but sometimes I wonder if a little dimension is missing.

Could you please make a video on how you use the Mackie CR-1604 in your setup?
I know it’s pretty old tech but it would be nice to see how you integrate it with more modern equipment (especially the computer).
…if you don’t think it’s worth making a video, I would love to ask you a few questions about your Mackie if that would be possible 😅
    Thanks anyway!

I've been trying to wrap my head around this with my Buchla Easel Command. How did you get the individual mono outputs for each oscillator? Great groove by the way! Thanks!

Close to the top right corner of the easel is an audio output called „gate 2 sig“. There you can grab the audio of low pass gate 2 individually. You‘ll have to turn down the mix potie for gate 2 to zero so that the signal is not present in the main output at the back as well. This basically gives you Gate 1 out from the main out and Gate 2 out from „Gate 2 Sig“

So give us an honest opinion is it as good an RME UFX3 because the price is great on this Arturia. but ive always used RME and they are hard to beat especially drivers.

I love mine, but there's an issue with the volume encoder that's been around since I got it. Arturia took 3 months to decide it was defective. Now I'm going to be without an interface for a month while they repair instead of just replace it. Absurd. The thing is great, but it seems like Arturia has literally one person working their support queue. It would take weeks to get a response back from them while trying to troubleshoot this issue.

God. That's an audio interface, not a sound card. It's not a card. How do you want to plug in this "card" into a slot?
