Ran convoys throughout Iraq 05’ to February 06’
Fullujah , ramadi,Sadr City,Al Assad, tal Afar ext and it got really sketchy many times… loved hearing about guys outside the wire at that time… was so insane. Fratricide was a big worry and the whole IEDS was just everyday bs. Really appreciate Tyler for everything he does and talking about. Thanks 🙏

Andy Stumpf was injured on the same operation and from his account it was a complete shit show/mass casualty situation, and the explosion that injured Tyler and several others was from friendly fire from a charge that a different element in their unit had set without deconflicting

That makes sense. That’s why he won’t go into detail about who or what blew him up. Shows the character of Tyler not wanting to throw another operator under the bus.

sounds like the episode of SEAL team when they were with the GIGN and a demo charge was misplaced. Probably part of the inspiration for that episode

1:02 funny I joined the Army because of watching X-men (Wolverine was a soldier in the Army, didn't know he was Canadian when I was 5), and watching movies like Platoon, We were soldiers, Saving Private Ryan etc. but it all traces back to Wolverine in X-men for me.

@@Andingo86 that’s just my view as a parent, it’s appreciated. & those story’s require a attention span to put the pieces together.. a toddler’s attention span for most things is like 3sec lol. I was playing monster trucks on RUclips and the person who made the video and recorded it live, cussed on camera “holy $hit!” (When a truck crashed). My toddler heard it once and now when he plays with his trucks, one “wrecks” and he’s “holy shit”. We don’t wanna tell him not to say it and make it a big deal, because then he will only say it more, at his age.

@@goinhot9133 I understand, I just hate censorship on these videos, if he wants no cusswords he should tell the guests or something. There are videos out there where they censor and blur the entire shot and I ask "why even put it I the video?" I just figure we are adults and can handle it but if kids are around then I understand in your case.

@@bigglock5478 It wouldn’t let me comment under the poppin comment and this is to him. Tyler is a legit tier 1 operator from Delta and you’re a clown poppin for trying to say different. The only thing fake about his story is that Tyler Grey is not his real name. Otherwise the guy is a true American Hero and Badass.

Also the label PTSD. So, humans are animals, we are primates! No different than any other jungle mammals. So what these people call ptsd is literally just our survival mechanism that allows us to recall threats to our very existence. Some unique reptiles and small mammals are unable to recall threats. So they get bit by snakes over and over, because they simply can’t remember, that’s a terrible idea to play with a snake! Humans would be extinct if we were t born with that. Unfortunately, human hubris. We don’t wanna be hairy animals ask so we ignore the fact. We are primal animals. The Bible was wrote to domesticate us. If you look at the list of sins. It’s all things that are not conducive to maintaining a population. Like murder, homosexuality, etc. if everybody acted like a primate in our hardwiring. We would have people killing people non stop. If you notice. When the libs started removing religion. Society has become more undomesticated.

I dig the LTSD idea. I was metro K9, tac, and was active military reserve and volunteer fire all at the same time..I had to have chaos, or high adrenaline calls or incidents. Anything routine made me stressed, angry and I felt like I was failing and Id get physically stressed or sick. It eventually ran me out of my ability to function at all. I hate the umbrella of ptsd as well.... I think a rape survivor has more legitimate claim to that diagnosis than I do. My adrenals just got destroyed by my own needs.

So #1 Tyler is one of the best team players. This interviewer doesn’t understand. That “rivalry” between units was 100% destructive. It literally cost American life. that’s why anyone with brain won’t even go into that racism/ tribalism/ us vs them part of the brain. General mccrystal had to jerk a knot in everyone’s A** in GWOT because delta was hoarding targets for themselves and several targets got away because they were so busy, they couldn’t possibly handle it. When we had Rangers and multiple units that were more than capable of handling a raid. When It’s not rocket science. So Tyler’s generation is what I call the team players.
The generations before that didn’t really do anything. They are more worried about fighting our own people, when the terrorist talk and share information. If we wanna be the best, RULE #1: WE MUST BE UNITED AND BELIEVE IN EACH OTHER. THIS TEARING EACH OTHER DOWM WILL SECURE OUR DOWNFALL WITH NOBODY AT THE BASE TO CATCH US.
