a brief history: SS Marisa was an Ocean Liner built in 1926 but her completion was delayed because there was something that happened that is a long story but she would finally be completed on February 18 1930 and then she sets out on her sea trials before
starting her maiden voyage on March 29th 1930 calling at ports such as New York Boston Portland Southampton Liverpool Hamburg Bremerhaven Rotterdam Buenos Aires Cape Town Sydney And Finally Yokohama that might be a strange route but it's the company's choice and I don't know what their thinking but anyway she would enjoy a fine career with exceptions such as running aground colliding with other ships and more than she served as a armed merchant cruiser accommodation ship floating barracks and for a brief time a troopship in WW2 and after the war she would continue service and the rest is history she would have a very long career
