Come on she is from Canada. It is obvious she will have a good english.
That's exactly what I was going to say! For us non-native speakers will be a lot more harder to answer those kinds of questions, I guess!
Yeah! I am wondering how a native speaker did not scored 10, lol.
there is no 10
Obviously, it is because there is no 10 in IELTS scores.
unless you mean that they have to get an over the score and that what I think too.
... The maximum is 9 xD
I think I can’t answer the questions even by my mother languages😂😂😂
Certainly, practice is very important. Once you get past the first few hurdles, you will be fine, keep up the good studies and visit us at www.gieltshelp.com
almost all of the question is about your thinking
so just say what you think is good enough i believe
How many mother languages do you have? 😀

For me, the examiner plays a MAJOR role on my performance. If he's friendly and smiley all the way i would be really relaxed and natural. Luckily last time I had a really cool dude and makes me feel like I'm talking to a friend. It's actually fun instead of stressful lol.
so how was your speaking score mate?

I kinda dont like the questions, since the purpose of this exam is to gauge your ability in speaking english. I must say that these questions are really hard to answer on the spot especially to those (like me) who don't give a sh*t to my surroundings since I am an introvert.
You can make up fictitious story about.
@@turnaround8231 that's interesting, gEnIus
Just remember your goal - immigration, and not to make friends. Be confident.
Use subtitles in movies improve your IELTS skills with these three strategies:
1. Beginner: Watch video with subtitles and repeat what the characters say every 5-10 seconds. Take breaks every five minutes.
2. Intermediate: Watch video without subtitles and pause every 5-10 seconds to write down what you heard. Then, check to see if what you heard and the subtitle match.
3. Advanced: Watch video with subtitles and paraphrase what the characters say every 5-10 seconds. Aim to paraphrase at least 50% of dialogues.

those were really tough questions!!!
Overall, quite useful, but you might want to fix the spelling mistakes in the transcript. I know some words were spelled the British rather than the American way (e.g., "tonnes" rather than "tons"), but there were also some spelling mistakes (e.g., she clearly said "college" and not "collage" - two very different words that are not even pronounced the same way).
TJ D and she also spelled “created” like kriː'ted instead of kriː'eɪted

well what if we don't know anything about the subject that you ask, because personally I don't know much about any community and leadership. If we don't know much about a topic how can we discuss about it ?
Hi Niusha, That is a good question. The task 2 questions are still general in nature, so you should be able to make up an answer even if you do not know much about the topic. For example, in this case you could imagine that one of your good friends who has leadership qualities is a leader in your community - describe him or her and add information like "he/she improved the school system, roads, transportation etc. with positive attitude and skills" - Of course, this type of answer requires you to practice this before the official exam. Good luck with your studies and again, thanks for the excellent inquiry, from the team at www.aehelp.com
Thank you very much for the reply.
You are very welcome : ).
Newsha Hugo you need to be good lier to succeed if not u can't.
I would add up to the Newsha's question. Say, if in the country, where I live, it's not common to have any communities, hence we don't have any community leaders at all, we have mostly multistoried buildings here and not much communication between neighbors, as well as we don't have any community centers, nor community programs (at least I am not aware of them). What should I do, if the question focuses on some issue, I knew really few or even nothing about, because I never faced it in my life before? Agree, the lifestyle in English-speaking countries differs greatly from that of mid-European countries (to say nothing of post-Soviet countries). there's a huge difference in the way of living and organization of everyday life.
The other question is whether the questions of the Speaking Part correlate to the local realities (thus are they coherent to it). Thank you so much for your reply
there is a typo in the word CHALLENGES (ChallAnges) :) in your subs

Not only her english but also her ideas
at "5:55", why she said "I was in Greece my girlfriend and I"
In western culture, girls refer to their friends as 'girlfriend', it simply means 'friend' and indicates a difference between boy or girl (Since in western culture it is okay for girls to have boyfriends as well)

Hi Wei, no person speaks exactly the same as another person on this planet. Yes, I know what you mean "if you are not a native English speaker", but this is not true. Perhaps there may be an accent, but English as a Second Language speaker (ESL) can speak just as clearly, coherently, fluently and intelligently - even more! We have heard many international students who have outstanding English speaking skills and started learning from fifteen. So, practice hard and know that the sky is the limit! www.aehelp.com
if she is canadian why would she even need this test
She is a teacher, she impersonated to be a candidate.!!
Probably because she wants to study in the US. You need to take IELTS if you are a foreigner to the country and want to study there at a college.
My thought exactly.
As far as I know, many colleges require their teacher to reach score 9.0 in IELTS in order to teach English courses.

College* not collage
+Pooh Piglet Yes you are right Pooh, do you know the meaning of collage?
+GeneralIELTSHelp in the subtitle, it's written "many students in COLLAGE and university". So it's supposed to be "college", right? :)
Collage is a technique of an art production, primarily used in the visual arts, where the artwork is made from an assemblage of different forms, thus creating a new whole.
And College is an education before University.
Please correct me if I'm wrong! Thankyou xx
yes, this is correct. 'collage' is pronounced differently and is a type of art. -the sub is a type. Good studies, www.gieltshelp.com

I'm so afraid right now :( because my future university (for master's program) requires 6,5 ielts with 6 each band. I nailed the writing and speaking part i believe. But listening and reading session, i was messed up......
No need to worry now Pooh, what's done is done. Relax and continue to study English for further improvement.
Good video but I think this candidate is not good enough to get a band 9 score because her voice is flat and she has used slang (informal) word like "Kids" instead of Children (9:31). Also in your video I have found many mistakes: In this video "Collage" instead of "College" (11:25), In an another video "Aliment" instead of "Ailment" and "Affects" instead of "Effects". I think you should prepare your information meticulously because thousand of people can have misunderstanding of these words who are learning from you. Thanks.
Hi Rajendra, Thanks for the feedback. Slang is okay, in fact can be quite good, as long as it is accurate in context. Don't get lost in the details, make sure to focus on the big picture. It is good that you are studying hard and able to spot mistakes. Keep up the good work.

Easy! It would be interesting to have a test someday! I just hope the topic is a bit interesting!
Make them interesting, find utility in the information. Keep up the good work.
She makes a grammatical error of usage at 11.20 where she says "If i was a leader" the correct version is "If i were a leader". She has not used any complex language or advanced vocabulary. She does not deserve a 9 by any stretch of imagination
Hi Imran, In speech we often misuse, 'was' instead of 'were'. She uses complex language throughout her responses with subordinating and coordinating conjunctions. At the worst, this would score an 8.5. Nevertheless, your feedback is appreciated.
Imran Hussain both are correct, either if I were or if I was
both WAS and WERE are correct
She was perfect! So nice to hear her. Always using complex sentences and idioms plus the pronounciation was absolutely awesome. Totally deserved the highest score.
*By any stretch of THE imagination....*WHEN she says, not where (sounds unnatural and inappropriate).......as a learner, it really isn't wise to critique native speakers on their abilities (we find it arrogant, especially when the learner in question has noticeable flaws). Don't be deceived, using complex arbitrary words doesn't make you a better English speaker (it IS useful to have a large vocabulary however). Native's learn the language in-depth at school and use it to write essays, read books etc. However, in conversational speech, we seldom feel the need to blurt out polysyllabic words in the hopes of sounding more educated. It can even come across as pretentious sometimes. She's a native speaker, her answers were practically perfect. All the best.

I came here because I'm searching for the correct pronunciation of the word "because". In every video I saw people pronouncing it in different manner. I heard 4 or 5 different variants (US, Canada, UK, Australia). Sometimes people from one country are pronouncing it in a different way.
So, to be "natural" - what way of pronunciation I have to use? I have a mass of different accents in my brain now and I just can't identify what variants I have to combine when I'm talking....
Don't worry too much about pronunciation Ron, it only needs to be clear enough for the examiner to understand you, you do not need to be perfect

(Involving in projects, demonstrate them, group discussions, group meetings, techincal writtings and many more). my accent depends on my moode and i watch a lot of american movies and shows , science discussion (i noticed while having conversation, people dont take care of grammer so as i) .
Please tell me do i still need to get prepared for ielts? i m asking question becuase in the video when u gave the card as speaking topic i didn't had much in my mind to talk about it . if i dont have any idea about the topic i cant speak even in my native language? any suggestion .
