One of the Super Dragon Ball Heroes games revealed that Beat is actually one of Goku's descendants in the future and was, more or less, recruited by Trunks for the Time Patrol. Beat himself didn't know about his relation to Goku at first.
Edit: If I remember right, his name is even a double play. Beat as in music sure, but also Beet as in the vegetable.

Actually World Mission confirms he's a descendant of Goku, it just doesn't specify whether he is descended from Gohan or Goten! Personally since I found that out, I feel like Beat should be Goten's descendant as Gohan's already got Pan and several other grandchildren before Goku Jr (in the Japanese dub Pan & Goku Jr are separated by more generations than in the english dub)! Also Beat shares Goten's competitiveness which they both share with Goku (who once jumped through a wall in DBS after he heard Vegeta was secretly training with Whis leaving Goku in the dust)!
If Victory Mission implies he's related to the Son Family that means he and his mother are likely of Saiyan descent as her resemblance to Chi-Chi would probably be hereditary as Goku fathered all his known children with her! Beat's mother also seems to have Chi-Chi's temper!
World Mission proves Beat is a Saiyan Earthling hybrid as he is able to achieve SSJ through rage while fighting DBZ Broly who hurt his teammate Note (who is his girlfriend in Victory Mission) with Beat fearing he may have killed her (she was knocked unconscious)! Beat achieved it without the Hero Switch (the bracelet that allows him to turn into his Saiyan Hero Avatar or any of the available avatars selected by the player, though Beat is a Earthling Saiyan hybrid regardless) as his Great Saiyaman 4 suit (a high-tech Great Saiyaman Suit developed by Dr. Leggings and has a design similar to Xeno Trunks/Great Saiyaman 3's suit minus his high-tech sword) deactivates beforehand (the suit allows the user to utilize game world abilities and cards within the real world) leaving Beat in his natural form! Beat also is the first Saiyan Earthling hybrid to achieve SSGSS on screen as his fellow Earthling DB Heroes teammates including Note pour their power into him granting him his SSGSS form in a manner reminiscent of the SSG, except with Earthlings & an Earthling Saiyan hybrid! He does this during the final battle with the rogue Time Patroller Sealas (Fused) the main antagonist of SDBH!
Beat is also able to achieve Ultra Instinct Sign in the SDBH anime!

So outside of the "game" he uses to make his avatar and interact with the Dragon Ball characters he is just a regular human but in the "game" his origins are that of the Son family either a son of Goku or a Grandson/Great Grandson having as much potential if not more than Goku himself having feats like using the God Forms and skills through my best guess easy training and access due to the family's strength
