I’ll give a small summary if the pink cat (not a dog!), GoldenGlow, also known as Susie. She comes from a poor family, but has a ton of siblings. Money isn’t that great, so sometimes they struggle. Susie wishes to be a hairdresser, but before she could start up, she contracted oripathy. Care for an infected is… monetary expensive, more often than not, so Susie left, tears in eyes as her family cried right back and wished her luck. On her travels, she learned that she had powerful electric arts, which she used to power her electric devices. Arriving at one of the more welcoming cities, she met a few people, who were willing to give her a shot at being a hairdresser, while providing her medicine for her infection. With their help, she manages quite well and actually opens her salon. All appears well… then riots begin. Her salon gets demolished, people around her die and flee… she doesn’t take it well. When one of the protesters rushes at her, she loses it. Her already potent electric arts were only further amplified by her emotions and the originium in her body, creating currents so powerful, they could kill on touch. Eventually, Susie is found again, by the very same people who gave her a chance in the first place. They offer to take her with them. The group arrives at Rhodes Island Landship. The people who helped her, were our very own Operators. Susie underwent recruitment talk, was given the position of a caster when on field, as well as a position in infrastructure of the Landship. As she was making her way to her newly assigned room, she was jumped! By an army of Siblings, who were called and wanted to reunite with their sister. Shortly after she left, a new jobs have become available away, so the large family left their home. When the call came that Susie is arriving at Rhodes Island, they all agreed that they need to go over to her and give her a hug. They brought gifts. Many gifts. So many gifts, that the corridor to her dorm was inaccessible by a multi layered wall of boxes. In the end, Susie gave a lot of them to the younger patients at RI. As she was beginning to tuck in for the night, all of her family members forming a cuddle pile on her bed, waiting for her, she gave the recruitment paper a look, before bursting into tears of joy. The position she was assigned… was Rhodes Island Hairdresser.

There is nothing like appreciating music you love with other people. The way she gushes about the music... Now she even has personal attachments to some characters.
Also, the thing about Penance, the reason her codename is that, because she worked with the mafia, and she judged innocent people, basically the opposite of who she was based off of, and now she's punishing herself. You can hear it in her song, there's a part that says how her morals and code got frail and she works for people with power. Or so I think, we haven't really gotten the event, but that's what I heard from other people. The Alive song, is from Alive Until Sunset(?) They are one of the popular bands in Terra, and they showed up in the first summer event, it was a summer music festival, where the players were to choose which band they wanted to support. They're also connected to Iberia(?), Man I already forgot, since it's been a while
They're connected to Iberia, tho it doesn't really get explored until the Stultiferas Navis event. I won't spoil for those who havent seen the SN story, but basically they have a strong connection to the sea and Aegir as a whole.
Wasn't it less "judged innocent" and more "not judging guilty"? And that her connection to major family actually allowed her to do more than her colleagues as where she could prosecute anybody who is not one of big names because of that protection, her colleagues didn't dared to... and that gave her illusion that things somewhat work out and she's first and foremost angry at herself for this ignorance. Especially as while old generation tried to play by rules, new one is heavy on greedy as*s (well and reformers too, but for common people first are usually more noticeable than second).
@@al103 I think it's more like judging the guilty since, in the chorus of the song, there's the part where it says, "They're taunting me, telling me that, I'm the one who will be sentenced, sentenced today". So I think, because of her guilt, she's having nightmares of people she sentenced.
i know this comment was 5 months ago, but for anyone finding this comment. It wasn't that she was judging innocents it was more that she was backed by one of the head families, which was what allowed her to deliver her judgment without too much danger to her life. She was sure that she was doing what was right, but at the same time she isn't dumb. She was very aware that one of the head families wouldn't be backing if she wasn't playing into what they wanted of her, and this fact is what weighs on her.
Dorothy's theme is a harmless little nerdy love song, romantic and chill, but her back story is again quite "Arknights", just like the "positive" vibe of the Golden Glow theme - they are aiming for that dramatic contrast. Her character is quite complex and can even be controversial. I'm so looking forward to global reception to her story.
If you don't know, "Darknights Memoir" is the intermezzo/side story focused on W's history and a major prequel to the main chapters. Highly recommend to read before you get to CH7~
The band Alive Until Sunset are NPC characters that appear in some side stories. I think they also held a concert in Sargon jungle and the tribesmen there ended up worshipping them iirc xD

From the wiki: Alive Until Sunset (AUS) is an all-female heavy metal band in the world of Arknights. They appear in Heart of Surging Flame, The Great Chief Returns, and Stultifera Navis. They're a very mysterious group from the ocean that seems to have connections with old gods and are closely tied to Kal'tsit. The full story of exactly who or what they are has yet to be revealed but they are far more than they appear to be.
@@georgieegames It's heavily implied that AUS are the soul/projection of a leviathan, an ancient creature dwelling deep in the ocean. They presumably have beef with the Seaborn, that's why they tend to help Rhodes Island (and the Aegir) sometimes. Allegedly the leviathan was just smitten with land-dweller music and thus decided to make its conciousnesses a band.
I still find it so ironic that Dorothy's song has the line "Take a picture, don't forget her", when it seems like Yostar has just completely forgotten she exists since she has now been delayed for 3 months, and with that extension about to be even longer. Give me my damn Jerboa, Yostar!
Silverash's theme is Disney princess levels. Winter Absolution is that moment when you hear Latin in your boss fight levels of goosebump inducing craziness. Go My Way - Vigil's theme is SO good with it's country rocker vibes. All Hail Savior for Girl Boss power metal. Hellagur's theme is like...old eastern european war veteran steeped in melancholy. Day Day Dream is a pop-y street tech bop. SO MANY BANGERS UUUUUGH
Flameshadow (Reed the Flameshadow theme), Stainless Heart (Stainless/ Return to Mist theme) and Silver Lining (Silverash Theme ) are all really good also
On Rythm in Literature. The lyrics used seem to be a french based "chaos language"(Like the lyrics on Nier games, giberish that emulates a real functional language but has no real meaning) that it's suposed to evoke Gaulish since Gaul is Arknights version of "France" but wasn't able to last until the current Victorian Era. The Crimson Troupe is located on former Gaul territory and they took in Gaul orphans when Gaul fell one of which is Phantom. The other song that also uses "chaos language" is Pallas theme which is greek based.
W’s song does indeed fit her to a tee. She’s basically a double agent for Babel/Rhodes Island that infiltrated Reunion but at the end of the day she always looks out for herself above all else.
Missing a few details, but in broad strokes, yes. . . . . . . . . . More like she split away from Rhodes Island in general following the death of the King of Fiends, Theresa. She joined back up with Hoederer and Ines to infiltrate Reunion, which is a False Flag Operation by Theresis to keep neighboring countries distracted from the weakened Kazdel. Upon Ines peering a bit too deep at Talulah/Kaschey, she's marked for death and "dies". She and Hoederer escape, while W, believing Ines is dead, stays behind for vengeance. In the end, her betrayal of Talulah is because it was a turning point and she wanted to try to decapitate Reunion's leadership entirely following Patriot's death. On top of revenge for the supposed death of her friend, Ines. Still does not mean she's our ally, as she even wants Doktah dead for their past part in Theresa's death, but since we have Amnesia, she sees no point in revenge if they don't know why she wants revenge on them. She's fanatically devoted to Theresa above all, which is the "Light" that she lost referred to in Renegade. The only reason she agrees to work with us is in order to check in if we remember what we did yet and because we're inevitably on a crash course against Theresis.

Actually, you were correct with Rhythm in Literature being evil, as this is the boss theme of Playwright, the glasses dude on the left. Basically, Phantom used to be in the Scarlet Troupe, but he then ran away to join Rhodes Island, only to be mind controlled back into joining the Scarlet Troupe as the 'Blood Diamond'. The whole Scarlet Troupe is basically a group of assassins posing as opera workers, with Playwright being the 'voice' of the troupe master, as he writes the scripts for everyone, including Phantom and those unfortunate enough to enter the castle the Troupe resides in. Honestly you should react to 'Phantom Castle' as it's the best theme that establishes the atmosphere of his event.
Im hope you can get your phantom, and for this music rithym in literatury its the theme from his event Crinsom Solitaire (permanent event if you got some level you can play too) and one of the rewards its his L2D skin(the one shows in this song)
Alive Until Sunset is an in game music band that came from the city of Aegir. They're quite popular over Terra because of their music, and the fact that they travel around every country to find inspiration and share their music. In the Alive MV, they're actually performing to a tribe of Archosaurus (crocodile people) in Sargon, which has deserts and forests in their geography. Lets just say the band got the tribe hooked on heavy metal after they left. Unfortunately, the band doesn't have any playable characters, they're kinda just NPCs that appears a few times in event. Also note that their name, Alive Until Sunset is likely a parody of an actual band irl named Dead by Sunrise.
Christina Vee did the singing for Alive and Spark for Dream, among other arknight themes. She's so talented EDIT: as for the last song and W (the operator's name), the song lyrics really do fit her a LOT. No spoilers in what she does but I will say that the Arknights community have dubbed her as the cockroach since shes, really hard to pin down and those thing sticking out of her head look like a cockroach too lol. Shes a interesting character but doesnt have that much lore sadly

@@iampotsataja I mean lore as in what we know about her. We know nothing about her past other than her connection with Theresa and her codename origin. Yes she has important roles in the first like 4 chapters and then nothing happens til chapter 7 where she does her usual things of blowing things up and briefly joining RI before pissing off Old Hag. Then yet another break in lore til the most recent chapter 10 where she joins in halfway to help stage and escape and thats it. Maybe thats a lot of lore, but to me, theres just too many things we dont know about her and most of her lore boils down to her blowing shit up and never truly siding with any one group.
I have to admit I prefer some aspects of the PV version of Radiant a little bit more, but the full version is still amazing and is very much a factor in my appreciation for Nearl as a character. Every time she did something awesome in Near Light her song ran through my head. LITERALLY every single time. Spark for a Dream is very Disney princess and it absolutely fits Golden Glow to a tee. And as sweet and heartwarming as she is she definitely deserves a Disney princess ending too, especially after all the horrible crap she went through before joining Rhodes Island. If you want to see her story, check out the Light Spark in Darkness archives. I absolutely cannot wait for her winter skin to drop, she looks so gorgeous and happy in it. ^^ So, I'm shocked no one's pointed it out yet, but while Phantom is obviously in Rhythm in Literature's animation, it is NOT his theme. Rhythm in Literature belongs to the Playwright, the OTHER guy in the animation. Phantom's theme is actually called "Curtain Call", and as you can imagine is very Phantom of the Opera - esque. As for who the Playwright is? Well, I could tell you... but perhaps you'd prefer to make your way through IS2, "Phantom and Crimson Solitaire", and find out on your own instead... Anywho, the next themes I would recommend you check out are Mizuki's "Y1K" (entirely due to the fact that IS3 "Mizuki and Caerula Arbor" should be coming very soon), Gavial the Invincible's "All Hail Savior", Irene's "Rapier", and SilverAsh's "Silver Lining".

I like to imagine that W is similar to Jinx : She likes to tinker, she is good with explosives, she's definitively not sane, and there are strong hints that she's obsessed with the past and can't move on until she's got her answers and killed those she deem guilty for what she's lost.

funnily enough there is a character with a giant pair of scissors, Bena, a welfare unit from preluding lights (need to wait for the record restore to get her now so like 5-ish months from now). As for the Alive band, they are a group you can see in the side story "Heart of Surging Flame" (which is a great side story to unlock first as its main stages cost 0 sanity to play), they also show up in the intermezzi event Stultifera Navus (Specter's event). Also hope you havent been overwhelmed with the Dossoles Holiday Rerun going on right now and hope you can unlock tequila before it ends! Edit: dont grab the tequila tokens in the event shop unless you get him from event rewards, the tokens dont give you the unit

Bluestacks isnt that good of an emulator, many have problems with it. Best emulator depends on your system, haven't heard of many complaints for LDPlayer (which I use) so far.
For future recommandations, Hellagur's theme is in Russian and there is no way I write it, but it is worth listening to. "March on!", and "All hail Savior" too

Quick thing about the characters That nearl is actually an alternative version dubed nalter by the community she's actually a guard character forgoing defense for damage she also limited so getting her is a pain Gg or goldenglow or Susie being her actual name that poor girl went through hell she got into the graces of another character named Quercus who just opens up business wherever she is and Susie became a waitress at her bar to make money for her dream of having her own hair salon wich she actually achieved cuz Quercus gave Susie the rights to the property...then it got burt down and she almost committed suicide but after all that shit she sifted through Quercus and a npc operator gave a recommendation to Rhoads Island and now she's actually the hair stylist for the organization she's a real fun character to play with as well (I actually have her and her brother) and her artist namie is a legend in the community for how chaotic she is I don't know anything about penance due to their event not being on global and I haven't read anything about them Same with Dorothy but theirs a meme going around that hypergryph completely forgot she existed cuz there was a problem for her event...or her banner...idk it was something that went wrong and they have yet to fix it When it comes to lappy and Texas it's interesting and one me an a friend of mine have been following (cuz the boy simps for lappy) basically lappys family wanted to overthrow the Texas clan she burnt their estate and when Texas beat her ass lappy suddenly wanted texas on her side and has been obsessed over her note that before all this Texas was famous for her sword rain arts so maybe that reputation contributed to lappys mind and or its her oripithy cuz there are examples of oripithy screwing up your mental state (specter for example) ether that or it's actually just an act to protect herself there are hints to that from the little I've seen from dialog Thing about alive is that it's cannoniclly song by a in-game idol group I completely forget their name and the names of the npcs Oh boy...the integrated strategies thing...I don't know everything but from what me and my friend theorized is that the setting (the goofy ahh castle itself) is a sort of deity or eldritch being their are operators that are based off fairy tales like projekt red (little red and the wolf) and bena who are connected as they both speak of a character referd to as "grandma" now it's easy to think they're referring to kal'tsit but my friend thinks it's actually the castle or something in the castle from one of benas voice lines from the monthly teams from the integrated strategies The phantom of the oprah looken ass dude is...phantom a well known character for one of his voice lines and I think you can actually get this version of him as a skin Ooh fuck I gotta talk about W....hang on let me do some research Ok skipping over the mess at kazdel for hard-core spoiler reasons w was...just a rando trying to make due with what she had don't get it twisted she was a killer and picked up the weapons of those she killed (you can see these weapons in her art) till she found a mercenary party to hang with after she killed one of them and took his name eventually they would come in contact with Rhoads Islands predecessor babel and the leader at the time Theresa along with kal'tsit and the doctor back then skipping over that cuz more spoilers after more shit hits more fans she abandoned babel for reunion but after reunions falling apart abandoned them to go back to Rhoads Island and she wants to kill you the only reason she's not is cuz she has like 3 other people she wants to kill more then you
Gonna add detail, what I know about Penance is that she wants to overthrow the "famiglia" system in Siracusa, an Italian inspired country that is ruled by the mafia. She is in the same event as Texas' theme. Dorothy is a high ranking member of a scientific organization named Rhine Lab. She is to come out in an event that is currently overdue in Global when you look at the order in which the events came out in CN. For the Crimson troupe's castle, it is quite a complicated matter, but as the friend the original commenter talked about, I shall add that there is a fairy tale castle where the operators by the names Bena, and Iris, work together under a certain "Grandma". Iris compares this castle to the Crimson troupe's, leading to believe that whatever controls the crimson troupe is not human either, probably not even of this world. W was a mercenary, he died in mission, a kid took his weapons and followed his former party. And that kid is who we call W today, as per the mercenaries code of honor. She does not have a real name, and she does not care for one at the moment, I like to think she is quite similar to Arcane's Jinx.
Before heading to Near Light event I advise you to read Maria Nearl event and Pinus Sylvestris event that lead to the Near Light one (and soon An Obscure Wanderer will come which is kind of the event that happens after Near Light)

So about Alive Until Sunset and the factions they are related to First of all the are under the Record Label [Monster Siren Records], the in-game one which Emperor is also under (The irl MSR Hypergryph started so they could release the music they have for the game on Spotify, RUclips, ect.) Secondly they are tied to the Aegir (fish people) and were driven out of the ocean by the seaborne They first appeared during Heart of Surging Flame due to that being a concert We see them again during Great Chief Returns (they where touring and kinda just walked into the story) And then most importantly they are apart of the Stultifera Navis story
Very curious of your thoughts of Nearl's uncle Mlyner once you get to his theme "Ensheath". Though pairing with the related events of such a neat story and really the whole of the Nearl family is great.
Afaik Rhythm in Literature isn't Phantom's theme - that's a song called Curtain Call - instead, it's the boss theme of one of the Integrated Strategies bosses, the Crimson Troupe's Playwright (that's the random catboy on the left).
Idk when's the Nearl Light event's gonna rerun but something is sending me the vibes that you're waiting for it. Tbh it's my fav one so i hope you'll enjoy it as much. Also, I recommend doing the Maria nearl permanent event and reading the pinus silvestri archives if you want to understand everything when the rerun drops. Also, where is All hail savior ?

if we are following the CN schedule (ignoring the absence of Dorothy), then we should get the NL rerun after the Legend Luo Xiaohei collab or after Mlynar banner (which is most likely the next event we're getting).
Radiant is the theme to the Radiant Knight, which is meant to be an older, stronger, more mature alternate version of Nearl. If a rerun of Near Light comes, you will have an opportunity to get her as well, she's 6 stars instead of 5 and is quite the badass overpowered character. It does her character justice quite well, I have seen people say that she's too epic to be only 5 stars, and after seeing the Radiant Knight, I say they're right.
Alive Until Sunset is an in universe rockband, none of the members are playable, but they do show up in unexpected places in the stories. Also theyre all one eldritch sea god that split into four pieces that each got their own personality and decided to become a band and see the world

Goldenglow (namie's (the artists) one of 2 children) is the one who made the neon lightning and she cant control it and in one of the manga chapters from the cooking manga there is only one medic who can handle her electric explosions XD I wont say who if you wish to read it). Alive is by the band AUS who shows up in events from time to time very interesting group. Ah yes phantom of the opera. Kinda like Phantom the character in an opera, am i right? lol. Near Light was the first big limited event I played (started ~February last year). I was still a F2P Dokutah back then and with all the free stuff they gave us I managed to squeeze out 75 pulls. NTR came home on pull 73 and has been my assistant ever since. My absolute favorite character.

If you like more intense songs, March On is a really good one. One of my favourite themes by far. As for some lore explainations... Alive Until Sunset is an in-universe heavy metal band of (I think) all Aegirs. Other in-universe musicians include the electro DJ Destructive Dragon Demon (DDD) and the rapper Emperor (Penguin Logistics' boss). Technically the Rat King also spits some made beats in a rap battle against Emperor during an April Fools event.

When I heard rhythm in literature, my brain went into the ending 4 of IS2 😂 (against the playwright as the boss, the one with glasses and parchment). It feels nostalgic bc It reminds me about how hard I farm for Phantom's skin and the 'ruin' background interface 😂😂.
Also, 40:30, the noises in background (chant, weird soungs and laughs) I believe are the audience of the play between Phantom and the Playwright. We have ennemies in this gamemode named "Scarlet Singer" and "Derisive Audience". You got who's making the noises now
You gotta listen to All Hail Savior next. On the surface Gavial the Invincible’s theme is just a stereotypical hard rock masterpiece, but the lyrics are actually quite deep and fit her character(a little too well, tbh).

Alive is not a character in particular, it is a song by the group "Alive until Sunset", which is a rock band within the universe of Arknights. They come from the ocean yet are neither Aegir nor seaborne, their first introduction with "human" culture lead them to be obsessed with music as a form of expression. As a funfact, that song is from one of the first events where they were introduced, they came upon a tribe in a jungle and got the entire tribe fascinated with their music to the point that they improvised an impromptu concert there.
W is interesting character for gacha or any other story game. I mean how often do we get teammates that are genuinely hates you 100%. Even after getting her trust maxed out her attitude only changes from pure hatered to hatered mixed with respect for being useful asset to achieving her goal (afterward she plans to kill you). Later story may or may not change her attitude but yeah, no spoilers here)

Keep in mind that [Radiant] Nearl is an alternate 6* form - vs her 5* defender which you've seen in the anime and beginning of the game story. They've started doing variants of different characters that give them alternate classes with different skills, etc.
I really wish we had more of these songs in-game. May the gacha gods be kind to you; I'm quite fond of Phantom myself. ...And if you want to see more of him, I'd recommend looking for the Phenomenal Agents MV, part of the Ambience Synesthesia 2022 concert. The song "Alive" is from a rock band named "Alive until Sunset", they are a ingame band showed for the first time in the summer event "Heart of Surging Flame", and apear in "Gavial, The great chief Returns" history. Btw, you can play any event, on the bottom of the HUD you can find them, probably you only need to pass some stages to unlock them
Rhythm in Literature : Sounds like an evil boss team Me : Yup, hit the nail on the head! That's why it sounds so disturbing and unnerving, but in a really unique way! Definitely recommend listening to the rest of the Phantom & Crimson Solitaire permanent stage music. Also recommend Hellagur's theme, which is also in Russian. He's an Operator that has close links to Patriot, and his theme will pull on your heart strings.
Heal the world(Gnosis theme) is a good one. Il Siracusano boss theme is also good. Flameshadow(Reed alter theme) is also good. Boiling blood, Rekindle, Melting white, Across the wind, A long vacation, sweet rendezvous, Go my way, and Helagur's theme are also good. All of them are great, would recomend XD
In the Rhythm in literature song you said you liked the Choir bit but for me personally I preferred the part where you start to heart voices go from left to right in the most Chaotic way. That to me felt like someone going mad and hearing voices inside his head.
Phantom is from Gaul, a country based on France, which got erased by the war they created. So imo, HG make Gaulish gibberish since not many ppl know it nowadays. Furries Europe lore is pretty interesting with their history, conflicts and ancient witches🐸✨

Phantom is amazing because he's quite literally a walking Phantom of the Opera reference. Everything on his person is a reference, and the Lady Christine is a black cat that travels with him.
32:00 Alive is a local rock group from Arknights. They travel the world and oftenly interact with operators from Rhodeos island, but they are not playable characters. Just a background band)
For Arknights you don't need to wait for reruns, as most events are already in, or getting over time added, in the side story tab. You just don't get the higher droprates and the usually accompanying shop. For the Nearl event you just have to be careful as it is a massive story that spans multiple events and starts with Maria Nearl (Nearls younger sister), Pinus Sylvestris, Near Light and the upcoming Obscure Wanderer. For a first event I would recommend Originium Dust, the collab event with Rainbow 6 Siege, as it has not just a fantastic story, but also explains a lot about the world (because R6 also needs some information).
So excited for your Arknights journey! If you like rock/metal, then you've gotta listen to Rapier. It's Irene's theme, and she's a part of the Under Tides storyline
Fun fact: Renegade was actually nominated for a music award shortly after it came out. It lost to a Kirby song, but getting nominated was still really neat.

I’ll give a small summary if the pink cat (not a dog!), GoldenGlow, also known as Susie.
She comes from a poor family, but has a ton of siblings. Money isn’t that great, so sometimes they struggle. Susie wishes to be a hairdresser, but before she could start up, she contracted oripathy. Care for an infected is… monetary expensive, more often than not, so Susie left, tears in eyes as her family cried right back and wished her luck.
On her travels, she learned that she had powerful electric arts, which she used to power her electric devices. Arriving at one of the more welcoming cities, she met a few people, who were willing to give her a shot at being a hairdresser, while providing her medicine for her infection.
With their help, she manages quite well and actually opens her salon. All appears well… then riots begin.
Her salon gets demolished, people around her die and flee… she doesn’t take it well.
When one of the protesters rushes at her, she loses it.
Her already potent electric arts were only further amplified by her emotions and the originium in her body, creating currents so powerful, they could kill on touch.
Eventually, Susie is found again, by the very same people who gave her a chance in the first place. They offer to take her with them. The group arrives at Rhodes Island Landship. The people who helped her, were our very own Operators.
Susie underwent recruitment talk, was given the position of a caster when on field, as well as a position in infrastructure of the Landship. As she was making her way to her newly assigned room, she was jumped! By an army of Siblings, who were called and wanted to reunite with their sister.
Shortly after she left, a new jobs have become available away, so the large family left their home. When the call came that Susie is arriving at Rhodes Island, they all agreed that they need to go over to her and give her a hug. They brought gifts. Many gifts. So many gifts, that the corridor to her dorm was inaccessible by a multi layered wall of boxes.
In the end, Susie gave a lot of them to the younger patients at RI. As she was beginning to tuck in for the night, all of her family members forming a cuddle pile on her bed, waiting for her, she gave the recruitment paper a look, before bursting into tears of joy.
The position she was assigned… was Rhodes Island Hairdresser.

The Alive song, is from Alive Until Sunset(?) They are one of the popular bands in Terra, and they showed up in the first summer event, it was a summer music festival, where the players were to choose which band they wanted to support. They're also connected to Iberia(?), Man I already forgot, since it's been a while
They're connected to Iberia, tho it doesn't really get explored until the Stultiferas Navis event. I won't spoil for those who havent seen the SN story, but basically they have a strong connection to the sea and Aegir as a whole.

And that her connection to major family actually allowed her to do more than her colleagues as where she could prosecute anybody who is not one of big names because of that protection, her colleagues didn't dared to... and that gave her illusion that things somewhat work out and she's first and foremost angry at herself for this ignorance. Especially as while old generation tried to play by rules, new one is heavy on greedy as*s (well and reformers too, but for common people first are usually more noticeable than second).

i know this comment was 5 months ago, but for anyone finding this comment. It wasn't that she was judging innocents it was more that she was backed by one of the head families, which was what allowed her to deliver her judgment without too much danger to her life. She was sure that she was doing what was right, but at the same time she isn't dumb. She was very aware that one of the head families wouldn't be backing if she wasn't playing into what they wanted of her, and this fact is what weighs on her.
Dorothy's theme is a harmless little nerdy love song, romantic and chill, but her back story is again quite "Arknights", just like the "positive" vibe of the Golden Glow theme - they are aiming for that dramatic contrast. Her character is quite complex and can even be controversial. I'm so looking forward to global reception to her story.

Allegedly the leviathan was just smitten with land-dweller music and thus decided to make its conciousnesses a band.

Rekindle and March On are two really great songs for Siege and Horn
On Rythm in Literature. The lyrics used seem to be a french based "chaos language"(Like the lyrics on Nier games, giberish that emulates a real functional language but has no real meaning) that it's suposed to evoke Gaulish since Gaul is Arknights version of "France" but wasn't able to last until the current Victorian Era. The Crimson Troupe is located on former Gaul territory and they took in Gaul orphans when Gaul fell one of which is Phantom.
The other song that also uses "chaos language" is Pallas theme which is greek based.
W’s song does indeed fit her to a tee. She’s basically a double agent for Babel/Rhodes Island that infiltrated Reunion but at the end of the day she always looks out for herself above all else.

More like she split away from Rhodes Island in general following the death of the King of Fiends, Theresa. She joined back up with Hoederer and Ines to infiltrate Reunion, which is a False Flag Operation by Theresis to keep neighboring countries distracted from the weakened Kazdel. Upon Ines peering a bit too deep at Talulah/Kaschey, she's marked for death and "dies". She and Hoederer escape, while W, believing Ines is dead, stays behind for vengeance.
In the end, her betrayal of Talulah is because it was a turning point and she wanted to try to decapitate Reunion's leadership entirely following Patriot's death. On top of revenge for the supposed death of her friend, Ines.
Still does not mean she's our ally, as she even wants Doktah dead for their past part in Theresa's death, but since we have Amnesia, she sees no point in revenge if they don't know why she wants revenge on them. She's fanatically devoted to Theresa above all, which is the "Light" that she lost referred to in Renegade.
The only reason she agrees to work with us is in order to check in if we remember what we did yet and because we're inevitably on a crash course against Theresis.

Actually, you were correct with Rhythm in Literature being evil, as this is the boss theme of Playwright, the glasses dude on the left. Basically, Phantom used to be in the Scarlet Troupe, but he then ran away to join Rhodes Island, only to be mind controlled back into joining the Scarlet Troupe as the 'Blood Diamond'.
The whole Scarlet Troupe is basically a group of assassins posing as opera workers, with Playwright being the 'voice' of the troupe master, as he writes the scripts for everyone, including Phantom and those unfortunate enough to enter the castle the Troupe resides in.
Honestly you should react to 'Phantom Castle' as it's the best theme that establishes the atmosphere of his event.
Im hope you can get your phantom, and for this music rithym in literatury its the theme from his event Crinsom Solitaire (permanent event if you got some level you can play too) and one of the rewards its his L2D skin(the one shows in this song)

In the Alive MV, they're actually performing to a tribe of Archosaurus (crocodile people) in Sargon, which has deserts and forests in their geography.
Lets just say the band got the tribe hooked on heavy metal after they left.
Unfortunately, the band doesn't have any playable characters, they're kinda just NPCs that appears a few times in event.

Yes she has important roles in the first like 4 chapters and then nothing happens til chapter 7 where she does her usual things of blowing things up and briefly joining RI before pissing off Old Hag. Then yet another break in lore til the most recent chapter 10 where she joins in halfway to help stage and escape and thats it.
Maybe thats a lot of lore, but to me, theres just too many things we dont know about her and most of her lore boils down to her blowing shit up and never truly siding with any one group.

I have to admit I prefer some aspects of the PV version of Radiant a little bit more, but the full version is still amazing and is very much a factor in my appreciation for Nearl as a character. Every time she did something awesome in Near Light her song ran through my head. LITERALLY every single time.
Spark for a Dream is very Disney princess and it absolutely fits Golden Glow to a tee. And as sweet and heartwarming as she is she definitely deserves a Disney princess ending too, especially after all the horrible crap she went through before joining Rhodes Island. If you want to see her story, check out the Light Spark in Darkness archives. I absolutely cannot wait for her winter skin to drop, she looks so gorgeous and happy in it. ^^
So, I'm shocked no one's pointed it out yet, but while Phantom is obviously in Rhythm in Literature's animation, it is NOT his theme. Rhythm in Literature belongs to the Playwright, the OTHER guy in the animation. Phantom's theme is actually called "Curtain Call", and as you can imagine is very Phantom of the Opera - esque. As for who the Playwright is? Well, I could tell you... but perhaps you'd prefer to make your way through IS2, "Phantom and Crimson Solitaire", and find out on your own instead...
Anywho, the next themes I would recommend you check out are Mizuki's "Y1K" (entirely due to the fact that IS3 "Mizuki and Caerula Arbor" should be coming very soon), Gavial the Invincible's "All Hail Savior", Irene's "Rapier", and SilverAsh's "Silver Lining".

She likes to tinker, she is good with explosives, she's definitively not sane, and there are strong hints that she's obsessed with the past and can't move on until she's got her answers and killed those she deem guilty for what she's lost.

funnily enough there is a character with a giant pair of scissors, Bena, a welfare unit from preluding lights (need to wait for the record restore to get her now so like 5-ish months from now).
As for the Alive band, they are a group you can see in the side story "Heart of Surging Flame" (which is a great side story to unlock first as its main stages cost 0 sanity to play), they also show up in the intermezzi event Stultifera Navus (Specter's event).
Also hope you havent been overwhelmed with the Dossoles Holiday Rerun going on right now and hope you can unlock tequila before it ends!
Edit: dont grab the tequila tokens in the event shop unless you get him from event rewards, the tokens dont give you the unit

Bluestacks isnt that good of an emulator, many have problems with it. Best emulator depends on your system, haven't heard of many complaints for LDPlayer (which I use) so far.
For future recommandations, Hellagur's theme is in Russian and there is no way I write it, but it is worth listening to.

The music for the event that focuses on phantom is references phantom of the opera a lot apparently. One in particular is based off of the music box from Phantom of the opera even
Quick thing about the characters
That nearl is actually an alternative version dubed nalter by the community she's actually a guard character forgoing defense for damage she also limited so getting her is a pain
Gg or goldenglow or Susie being her actual name that poor girl went through hell she got into the graces of another character named Quercus who just opens up business wherever she is and Susie became a waitress at her bar to make money for her dream of having her own hair salon wich she actually achieved cuz Quercus gave Susie the rights to the property...then it got burt down and she almost committed suicide but after all that shit she sifted through Quercus and a npc operator gave a recommendation to Rhoads Island and now she's actually the hair stylist for the organization she's a real fun character to play with as well (I actually have her and her brother) and her artist namie is a legend in the community for how chaotic she is
I don't know anything about penance due to their event not being on global and I haven't read anything about them
Same with Dorothy but theirs a meme going around that hypergryph completely forgot she existed cuz there was a problem for her event...or her banner...idk it was something that went wrong and they have yet to fix it
When it comes to lappy and Texas it's interesting and one me an a friend of mine have been following (cuz the boy simps for lappy) basically lappys family wanted to overthrow the Texas clan she burnt their estate and when Texas beat her ass lappy suddenly wanted texas on her side and has been obsessed over her note that before all this Texas was famous for her sword rain arts so maybe that reputation contributed to lappys mind and or its her oripithy cuz there are examples of oripithy screwing up your mental state (specter for example) ether that or it's actually just an act to protect herself there are hints to that from the little I've seen from dialog
Thing about alive is that it's cannoniclly song by a in-game idol group I completely forget their name and the names of the npcs
Oh boy...the integrated strategies thing...I don't know everything but from what me and my friend theorized is that the setting (the goofy ahh castle itself) is a sort of deity or eldritch being their are operators that are based off fairy tales like projekt red (little red and the wolf) and bena who are connected as they both speak of a character referd to as "grandma" now it's easy to think they're referring to kal'tsit but my friend thinks it's actually the castle or something in the castle from one of benas voice lines from the monthly teams from the integrated strategies
The phantom of the oprah looken ass dude is...phantom a well known character for one of his voice lines and I think you can actually get this version of him as a skin

Ok skipping over the mess at kazdel for hard-core spoiler reasons w was...just a rando trying to make due with what she had don't get it twisted she was a killer and picked up the weapons of those she killed (you can see these weapons in her art) till she found a mercenary party to hang with after she killed one of them and took his name eventually they would come in contact with Rhoads Islands predecessor babel and the leader at the time Theresa along with kal'tsit and the doctor back then skipping over that cuz more spoilers after more shit hits more fans she abandoned babel for reunion but after reunions falling apart abandoned them to go back to Rhoads Island and she wants to kill you the only reason she's not is cuz she has like 3 other people she wants to kill more then you
Gonna add detail, what I know about Penance is that she wants to overthrow the "famiglia" system in Siracusa, an Italian inspired country that is ruled by the mafia.
She is in the same event as Texas' theme.
Dorothy is a high ranking member of a scientific organization named Rhine Lab.
She is to come out in an event that is currently overdue in Global when you look at the order in which the events came out in CN.
For the Crimson troupe's castle, it is quite a complicated matter, but as the friend the original commenter talked about, I shall add that there is a fairy tale castle where the operators by the names Bena, and Iris, work together under a certain "Grandma". Iris compares this castle to the Crimson troupe's, leading to believe that whatever controls the crimson troupe is not human either, probably not even of this world.
W was a mercenary, he died in mission, a kid took his weapons and followed his former party.
And that kid is who we call W today, as per the mercenaries code of honor. She does not have a real name, and she does not care for one at the moment, I like to think she is quite similar to Arcane's Jinx.
Before heading to Near Light event I advise you to read Maria Nearl event and Pinus Sylvestris event that lead to the Near Light one (and soon An Obscure Wanderer will come which is kind of the event that happens after Near Light)
if you think that phantom theme is creepy then you should give the mouthpiece battle boss theme a try :D

First of all the are under the Record Label [Monster Siren Records], the in-game one which Emperor is also under
(The irl MSR Hypergryph started so they could release the music they have for the game on Spotify, RUclips, ect.)
Secondly they are tied to the Aegir (fish people) and were driven out of the ocean by the seaborne
They first appeared during Heart of Surging Flame due to that being a concert
We see them again during Great Chief Returns (they where touring and kinda just walked into the story)
And then most importantly they are apart of the Stultifera Navis story
Very curious of your thoughts of Nearl's uncle Mlyner once you get to his theme "Ensheath". Though pairing with the related events of such a neat story and really the whole of the Nearl family is great.

Afaik Rhythm in Literature isn't Phantom's theme - that's a song called Curtain Call - instead, it's the boss theme of one of the Integrated Strategies bosses, the Crimson Troupe's Playwright (that's the random catboy on the left).
Idk when's the Nearl Light event's gonna rerun but something is sending me the vibes that you're waiting for it. Tbh it's my fav one so i hope you'll enjoy it as much. Also, I recommend doing the Maria nearl permanent event and reading the pinus silvestri archives if you want to understand everything when the rerun drops.

if we are following the CN schedule (ignoring the absence of Dorothy), then we should get the NL rerun after the Legend Luo Xiaohei collab or after Mlynar banner (which is most likely the next event we're getting).
Radiant is the theme to the Radiant Knight, which is meant to be an older, stronger, more mature alternate version of Nearl.
If a rerun of Near Light comes, you will have an opportunity to get her as well, she's 6 stars instead of 5 and is quite the badass overpowered character. It does her character justice quite well, I have seen people say that she's too epic to be only 5 stars, and after seeing the Radiant Knight, I say they're right.
Alive Until Sunset is an in universe rockband, none of the members are playable, but they do show up in unexpected places in the stories. Also theyre all one eldritch sea god that split into four pieces that each got their own personality and decided to become a band and see the world

It's amazing to note the contrast of the singer's voice since she both sang Spark for Dream and ALIVE. Very talented singer indeed.
Goldenglow (namie's (the artists) one of 2 children) is the one who made the neon lightning and she cant control it and in one of the manga chapters from the cooking manga there is only one medic who can handle her electric explosions XD I wont say who if you wish to read it). Alive is by the band AUS who shows up in events from time to time very interesting group. Ah yes phantom of the opera. Kinda like Phantom the character in an opera, am i right? lol. Nearl is actually a family name. We have several family members in the game Margaret (the OG) Maria - her younger sister, Zofia their aunt, and their uncle Młynar is coming up in close future.
Alive Until Sunset that sings Alive songs is a direct reference to LP's Dawn Until Dusk

Near Light was the first big limited event I played (started ~February last year). I was still a F2P Dokutah back then and with all the free stuff they gave us I managed to squeeze out 75 pulls. NTR came home on pull 73 and has been my assistant ever since. My absolute favorite character.
-The cockroach- W is actually a Sarkaz, a race filled with Halloween-esque monsters ranging from Vampires to Gargoyles, the most common trait that they have are the horns and devil tail, so she literally is kind of a demon
Though, actual Demons do exist separate to the Sarkaz, but they're less of a race and more of a classification
Also please listen to 'Speed of Light' by DJ Okawari, it's basically the Penguin Logistics theme and it's such a good bop

I'd like to recommend Reed's theme - Flame Shadow, Horn's theme - March On and Blaze's theme - Boiling Blood
One thing I really love about Sentenced is that Penance is a Lupo (wolf) in the game and the "Oooooo" part is just like how wolves crying
If you like more intense songs, March On is a really good one. One of my favourite themes by far.
As for some lore explainations...
Alive Until Sunset is an in-universe heavy metal band of (I think) all Aegirs. Other in-universe musicians include the electro DJ Destructive Dragon Demon (DDD) and the rapper Emperor (Penguin Logistics' boss). Technically the Rat King also spits some made beats in a rap battle against Emperor during an April Fools event.

When I heard rhythm in literature, my brain went into the ending 4 of IS2 😂 (against the playwright as the boss, the one with glasses and parchment). It feels nostalgic bc It reminds me about how hard I farm for Phantom's skin and the 'ruin' background interface 😂😂.
Also, 40:30, the noises in background (chant, weird soungs and laughs) I believe are the audience of the play between Phantom and the Playwright. We have ennemies in this gamemode named "Scarlet Singer" and "Derisive Audience". You got who's making the noises now
You gotta listen to All Hail Savior next. On the surface Gavial the Invincible’s theme is just a stereotypical hard rock masterpiece, but the lyrics are actually quite deep and fit her character(a little too well, tbh).
If you liked Alive, then All Hail Savior is also a good one. Its Gavials song and its also rock based. The vocals in it go hard and personally one of my favorites
The band singing Alive is called Monster Siren and is the in-universe canon band that tours around the world of Terra (Arknights' world).
Alive is not a character in particular, it is a song by the group "Alive until Sunset", which is a rock band within the universe of Arknights.
They come from the ocean yet are neither Aegir nor seaborne, their first introduction with "human" culture lead them to be obsessed with music as a form of expression.
As a funfact, that song is from one of the first events where they were introduced, they came upon a tribe in a jungle and got the entire tribe fascinated with their music to the point that they improvised an impromptu concert there.
I'd love to see your reactions of Rekindle and Never Give Up, the theme songs for Siege and Dusk.
W is interesting character for gacha or any other story game. I mean how often do we get teammates that are genuinely hates you 100%. Even after getting her trust maxed out her attitude only changes from pure hatered to hatered mixed with respect for being useful asset to achieving her goal (afterward she plans to kill you). Later story may or may not change her attitude but yeah, no spoilers here)
Keep the torch (Pallas' theme) is a must hear!!! Also would be so fun to see your reaction to Daydaydream ❤

Keep in mind that [Radiant] Nearl is an alternate 6* form - vs her 5* defender which you've seen in the anime and beginning of the game story. They've started doing variants of different characters that give them alternate classes with different skills, etc.

...And if you want to see more of him, I'd recommend looking for the Phenomenal Agents MV, part of the Ambience Synesthesia 2022 concert. You previously showed a short version (that advertised some of the best skins for Mudrock, Tequila, and Reed), but there's a longer spy-action-film animation to go with it

Me : Yup, hit the nail on the head! That's why it sounds so disturbing and unnerving, but in a really unique way! Definitely recommend listening to the rest of the Phantom & Crimson Solitaire permanent stage music.
Also recommend Hellagur's theme, which is also in Russian. He's an Operator that has close links to Patriot, and his theme will pull on your heart strings.
Heal the world(Gnosis theme) is a good one.
Il Siracusano boss theme is also good.

In the Rhythm in literature song you said you liked the Choir bit but for me personally I preferred the part where you start to heart voices go from left to right in the most Chaotic way. That to me felt like someone going mad and hearing voices inside his head.

Phantom is from Gaul, a country based on France, which got erased by the war they created. So imo, HG make Gaulish gibberish since not many ppl know it nowadays. Furries Europe lore is pretty interesting with their history, conflicts and ancient witches🐸✨

Phantom is amazing because he's quite literally a walking Phantom of the Opera reference. Everything on his person is a reference, and the Lady Christine is a black cat that travels with him.
32:00 Alive is a local rock group from Arknights. They travel the world and oftenly interact with operators from Rhodeos island, but they are not playable characters. Just a background band)
For Arknights you don't need to wait for reruns, as most events are already in, or getting over time added, in the side story tab. You just don't get the higher droprates and the usually accompanying shop. For the Nearl event you just have to be careful as it is a massive story that spans multiple events and starts with Maria Nearl (Nearls younger sister), Pinus Sylvestris, Near Light and the upcoming Obscure Wanderer. For a first event I would recommend Originium Dust, the collab event with Rainbow 6 Siege, as it has not just a fantastic story, but also explains a lot about the world (because R6 also needs some information).
