Its been a hot minute but decided to have a lil catch up with some Arknights OSTs! Got some absolute TUNES in here today...and some songs I don't know how I feel about...LETS GET INTO IT! Also if you want a AK tierlist stream with ALL the OSTs let me know!

So some details on Shu's theme, the song's title is Jin Chun Wu and it's actually sung in Hokkien. A regional dialect in South East China. The chorus of the song is ripped straight a folk song that would be sung during the farming seasons.
Hokkien is not really something you hear awknowledged in media. So when this was released a LOT of people had their minds blown seeing their dialect represented in a game as big as Arknights. So a good amount of people have a soft spot for Shu for that alone. Other than her just being a sweetheart and a cool character of course.
That's so awesome. I can absolutely see why this blew people away as I didn't even know the dialect existed! So cool to learn about languages from AK love it!
That's actually awesome. It's like when I heard Kansai accents in anime and video games. They usually are the most lovable character in the series.

She's gone from the abandoned 6th member of Anti Rain in GFL to one of the most beloved characters in Arknights.
The strongest Rhodes elite op is named Logos and recently, was released on cn and his archives reveals how goofy the elite ops are in private. Logos held a stool race with them and won.
The Strongest Elite operator in Rhodes Island: Logos
Lord of the Banshees, Regent of the Kezdel Royal Court: Logos
Yet is goofy along with his elite operator brothers & sisters in arms

The Rhodes island Elite op are the best of the best many having served for many years including with Babel, In that picture it's Logos, Touch, Doctor, Mantra, Sharp, Misery and Mechanist, really sad they didn't include Pith though who is Rhodes main arts trainer and was Theresa best friend.
BTW Ascalon is the name of the sword St. George used to kill the dragon.
Mantra's art in the game really hints to her being playable soon. I DESPERATELY hope so because i love her design SO DAMN MUCH

The throwbacks to Renegade are so awesome- Like the melody playing in the first verses and even the literal lyric drop of “renegade” and “do what it takes”. She’s not gonna stop being badass as hell and not giving a crap and I love her for it. Anyhow, I’m going to P6 both W and Wis’adel. I love my wife.

1 - the Integrated Strategies special Operators.
Exclusive to the gamemode, these operators can be randomly recruited during a run.
Their skills are simple and their statistics are above average. As expected of our “elite operators”
2 - not much here to add tbh.
3 - Zuo Le is a Sui overseer. They are a group who watch where the siblings go, because obviously, bored gods can lead to problems. (Unfortunately, he is not the free one. He is a 6* together with Shu. Speaking of…
4 - Shu is the sibling number 6. The middle child who can easily play the older sister role to make the younger ones listen as well as play the role of younger sibling, to get the older ones to listen to her. She has nearly all of her family wrapped around her.
5 - Ascalon is a top operator in S.W.E.E.P. The cleanup crew. Sidenote, she was literally found as an infant by a group of mercs that went under control of Babel. Her character song is about wanting for the day when S.W.E.E.P. is no longer needed. But at the same time, S.W.E.E.P. is all she has.
6 - Wiš’Adel. Our cockroach Sarkaz now has a name of her own and much like her theme it expands on what is already there. In this case, It’s a sequel to RENEGADE.
Isn't Ascalon S.W.E.E.P's "director"? (I thought she is a comander of RI's Black Ops team).

Tbf, Misery, Mantra, Logos and Mechanist not in IS, so it's only half true
*Note for 1: Their skills may be simple, But the skills are also above average.
Pith boosting ALL Casters on the field, Sharp doing 300% Damage (Benefited by boosts a lot).
Bullseye having 50% Uptime on "Attacks 4 times lol".
Touch heals multiple people across half the freaking map, And very quickly.
Passives are also above average.
Bullseye trigger chance is much higher than Greythroat (15% to 25%), **AND** Does more damage (150% to 200%)
Sharp having a very sizable attack boost, And a great 30% Dodge chance.
Pith's 20 Res Ignore is very high, Considering Goldenglow is only 15 Ignore.
Touch. Broken. A huge amount of targeted SP generation.
i gotta say, Shu's theme was my absolute favourite!! to this day, hoooly!

Frankly, I think Arsonist is a step up from renegade. A huge one. And I love renegade, but this song is just a BLAST.

Rays song is sung and i think wrote by whats considered a prodigy? Started at 10.

I fully agree with you on the Ascalon theme, its really missing the release. It builds and builds and then kind of fizzles out. You're expecing a grand chorus and it just never gets there.
Have you checked out the 15 minute CG animation for W, called The Daggers' Inheritors? It's genuinely fantastic, and truly shows how far HG's come in their animations. Not sure if I can link it, but there's a specific vid out there where someone translated the subs. It's not clean, but it's better than nothing.

I feel the perspective of Believing (Believed Believes) is Rhodes Island telling the elite ops how much faith they have.
Also, my favorite Elite Op lore is the office chair race that gets mentioned from time to time. xD
Love elite ops theme. Shu's theme, honestly, is beyond my expectations, what a great song. Ascalon's, hm, there's definitely something wrong with it, doesn't work for me. As for W, this is for sure renegade 2. Enjoyed most of it, i'm a sucker for this deep atmospheric effect in background. Just not a fan of rap bits and rap in general, for some reason it's always boring. Unless it's not a mix of rap with metal (something like P.O.D. - Youth of the Nation or Fire From The Gods - Excuse Me).
i mostly feel the same, only real rap i like personally that i have found is NF because its a song and a for of story telling at the same time which is very unique and skill full, its just a very mentally stimulating form of music in a way that just good melody cant scratch fully, instead of going down on the melody its all in the lyrics
For the record: sharp, pith, and a few other elite operators do appear in the IS (integrated strategies) mode. They dont generally have any skills but they come with generally high stats

Logos (Caster, Banshee Sarkaz): Appeared in main story, written arts and arts nullifier, saved Mudrock's group, a stool racer and a sexy man all around

for me i like music that are easy to sing and jam along but this theme feels like i am not singing when I jam along with it.
