Each character have a true name and a codename. A lot of them, their true names are known, still they are called by their codenames both in gameplay and in those videos' titles. I could tell you the true names of those that are referenced in those music if you wish. Now for extra trivia : Eternal Flame : You did guess right, Fiammetta is a Liberi, so a bird person, specifically a phenix. She works for Laterano, the place inspired by the Vatican. Ständchen : Actually, it is based on a piece of classical music, I am not familiar with the original, but as I heard, the beginning, especially before the lyrics become, are the same melody. It is very angsty, because without going into spoiler, let's say the loss of someone made Ebenholz very depressed even to this day. He is from Leithanien, which is the equivalent of eastern Europe. Towards her Light : Saileach is from Victoria, the equivalent of England. If I recall, she's in the military, but her only job is to carry their banner. The Celtic style of instrument may relate to the fact that some characters from Victoria are also based on scottish and irish culture. Saileach herself, is a character from the main story, chapter 9 specifically, and I think she's too kind and pure for this world so it also relates into the upbeat music as well. And yet it wanes : Lee is a Lung, a Chinese dragon, but you'll notice he looks like a Koi fish, which relates to a tale about a carp that transforms into a dragon after reaching the top of a big waterfall. He's from Lungmen, a city inspired by Hong Kong, although in the event "Invitation to Wine", he went to Yan, which is China itself. If anything he appears as easy going and friendly, but he's way more badass than what he wants to let people think. He's the owner of his own detective agency after all. Bluish Light : Lumen is from Iberia, nation inspired by Spain, but he's an Aegir, a race that originates from the ocean. A cataclysm that left the entire nation traumatized caused the Aegir to leave for the seaside nations : Higashi (Japan) and Iberia. This cataclysm also is the reason for Iberia's current state of eldritch horror as seen in the events Under Tides and Stultifera Navis, but Lumen himself never witnessed this cataclysm personally and simply wants to find his place in the world. Awaken : To talk about Specter in detail is to get into spoiler territory real quick, because for the longest time not even herself knows who she is until she regains her memories in Stultifera Navis. She's an Aegir, which means her appearance is based on sea life, specifically a shark. What I can say is she's currently with Skadi (an orca inspired Aegir) and Gladiia (A swordfish inspired Aegir) All three are tightly related to the cataclysm I mentioned earlier. Undertopia : Pozy (simply call her that, it's way easier) is from Ursus, inspired from Russia, I don't know the character much as of now but she seems to be a writer. During the ideal city event, she accompanied Gavial in the underground city where the Durins (literal dwarves) live. Apparently she's a Lupo (wolf). Immutable : Kal'tsit's is a very mysterious character, despite effectively being a main character in her own rights. The event "a walk in the dust" helps us know a lot of her history from before the game, but even so there is so much we don't know. As far as we are concerned, she's the player character's ally, the most important scientist in Rhodes Island, and the holder of many secret knowledge which are both her burden and the strength the uses to carry out Rhodes Island's mission. funfact : For the beginning of the game, she actually *hates* the player character for spoiler reasons and only cooperates on a common goal basis. Lullaby : Mephisto and Faust are part of the main story, a heart breaking story. Arknights is not a happy world. I think they too are from Ursus, if their song being in Russian is any hint. That two children would be in the position to be hated for their crimes is a masterpiece of a tragedy. Requiem : My two favorite characters, actually. Patriot is like a father figure to Frostnova, they have awesome backstories. Without getting into spoiler, Patriot is a stubborn and prideful warrior who once fought for Ursus, and now is part of Reunion, a terrorist group. The same Mephisto and Faust are also part of, and Frostnova as well. Frostnova is kind and quiet, but her heart was made stone cold by what she lived through. Even so, she refuses to spill blood in vain. Edit : As per a previous comment correcting me, I fixed the part with Leithanien's real world equivalent for accuracy purposes.
Leithanian isn't Eastern Europe, never even heard that anywhere, it is clearly German or Austrian (or both), or, depending on the time period, simply Prussia.
About pozy: She is a noble from Ursus but when she was young her entire family was killed and she just barelly managed to escape and kept running until she stumbled upon an elevator that led to an underground durin city in Sargon where she decided to live bc the durin practically never resorted to violence which to her made that place look like paradise compared to the surface full of conflict
Ah yes, Hypergryph. The music company that also creates a tower defense game on the side. Welcome aboard, Dr. Georgiee. The road ahead is a bumpy one and a hell of a ride, a lot of bangers awaits, be it EPs or Contingency Contracts (aka CCs)
48:30 - You are correct in that both Mephisto (white haired boy) and Faust (blue haired boy) are villains in the game. However, their background story, especially Mephisto's, is up there is the "how depressing can we be?" scale of the game's lore. I actually heard that song before reaching "that" part of the game's story, so I didn't understand why it was playing, and what was going on. And so, I read up on it... and now I legit ugly cry each time I hear that song. Here's a synopsis of the background behind that song, if you're interested. Note that, although it is background story for the most part, so not really spoilery, the end bit talking about something that happens in Chapter 8 of the main story. So avoid reading if you want to discover on your own once you play the game. ------------------ Mephisto is from Ursus (in-game version of Russia, thus the song's language). As a young(er) child, he was constantly abused by his own father, his mother having already left, and he was bullied by the other kids in the neighborhood. He eventually met Faust, who was an orphan living in the sewers, and they became friends. As a coping mechanism, Mephisto liked to read and sing. However, some woman hated that he sang, so to shut him up literally shoved a shard of originium down his throat... (you know, that crystal that gives rock cancer? yea) which permanently damaged his vocal chords, preventing him from ever singing again, and making him infected, which also gave him healing arts. He decided to take revenge on the people who bullied him, by using his arts to control them, and murdering his own family by setting fire to his own house while they were inside. Faust felt guilty about what his friend did, so he voluntarily infected himself, and promised to live and die together with him. They both wandered around, aimlessly, when Reunion found them (the terrorist organisation). They eventually joined them. However, because of his past trauma, and reunion's leader's manipulations, he became extremely sadistic, which is the side of him we see in the game. ========↓ In-Game spoilers ↓======== During the game's story, and our fights, we eventually defeat both of them. However, Faust gets his troops to bring Mephisto somewhere safe, while he faces us alone, eventually dying in the process. Mephisto, now having lost his only friend, suffers a mental breakdown. He eventually learns of a device that supposedly heals and cures people, and it had done so to us, the Doctor. However, nobody really knows how that device works, and instead of healing him, it turns him into a feathered dragon, completely white. In that form, he lost most of his personality and rationality. All that remains, is his desire to sing. As the creature is lumbering forward, trying to sing, he is reminded of a lullaby that was sang to him, while with Reunion, that FrostNova sang to him when he was having nightmares, or just having trouble sleeping... And that song, is the lullabye that she sang to him. It also becomes the fight bgm in the stage as we fight him in bird/dragon form... Now I challenge you to listen to that song again and NOT get teary eyed T_T
Much as I'd like to agree with how tragic Mephisto's backstory is, many folks who have read Children of Ursus would be hard-pressed to sympathize. I respect that they tried to make him someone we would feel sorry for, but for some, the damage has been done.
@@SigmentKurosai Fair. Although I do know the gist of what happened with Children of Ursus, it's not a story I looked up in detail, so I don't know who was involved in it (other than our favorite bears)
@@SigmentKurosai Ngl, I read the full Children of Ursus story and it's absolutely horrifying, but what was happening in the school was technically still safer than what was going on outside of it. Not saying it makes anything better, but it does add some context to how bad things were at that time.
@@SigmentKurosai i mean he was literally a child when he went through such unimaginable and continuous trauma. not saying what the ursus kids went through was okay, but i honestly can't see how anyone would turn out to be normal after going through all of what he went through.
Eternal Flames. Perfect song to kick things off. So much emotion and anguish pouring out from that song. So many good songs but that song really, really stood out to me the most.
Same, that's probably the one I have played the most in my playlist. Special place for Lullaby in my heart too, for being the first music with actual lyrics during combat.
Can't wait for Gaviel alter theme reaction(regular character is a healer, but alter version is when she took chainsaw and axe and became attacker unit)
Both Standchen and Requiem are based off of or are basically renditions of old poems from Austria and Russia. Standchen was based off of the poem of the same name by Rellstab, turned into a song by Schubert and also Liszt. This is basically a classic love song, tho it has a bit of a different meaning in the AK version Requiem is a Russian poem by Anna Akhmatova, which was originally written as a condemnation of the Great Purge in Russia during the formation of Stalin's Soviet Union and basically tells the story of a lady going through the grief of losing several family members overtime to the violence going on in the Soviet Union at the time (ie. people being arrested and beaten/tortured for voicing their opinions about the government, etc.). It fits really well onto Patriot and Frostnova's relationship imo, but I won't go further as I wouldn't want to spoil their story for you. Another interesting one that is basically a rendition of a song in real life is one of the battle themes from the Lingering Echoes event (the same event that Standchen is introduced in). The song is basically a remixed version of Flight of the Bumblebees by Rimsky-Korsakov.
Still bringing my suggestions for following EPs to listen to, hopefully in Part 2 :) - Alive - Radiant - March On - All Hail Savior - Keep The Torch - Stainless Heart
41:52 Yeah, Kal is one of the most mysterious characters in the game, and likely one of the oldest living beings on Terra with the exclusion of the Feranmuts (Gods) and similar beings (like the Ageless of Ursus), she is in some way connected to most major events that have happened in Terra, and is aware of some of the bigger secrets in the world. We also know very little about her despite being one of the major characters in the main story, having her own event, and being part of several other events. Though we are at least reasonably sure of her motives being to mitigate the death and destruction Terra faces.
"She's no stranger to rushing in", "Throwing cautions to the wind", "She'll risk it for the lives. She's left behind", and "But she's flying blind" really shows their true meaning once we learn Kal'tsit's secret behind her millenia of history and also with what happened at chapter 11 👀
37:25 I absolutely love Kal'tsit and her theme. Come to think of it (at least before founding Rhodes Island) she's kind of the Gandalf of Arknights. We don't really know who or what she is, but we do know that she's been playing 4d chess with every country on Terra, constantly moving from place to place saving the world from multiple apocalyptic scenarioes. And even with all of those burdens weighing on her, she will drop all she's doing just to treat some random person in a remote village who got infected and who she will never see again.
Lee {Yet it Wanes} owns a detective agency, loves tea and is a great cook. The kids in Lullabye are Mephisto and Faust... I'm pretty sure they showed up in anime's season 1. It's been a while since I last fought Mephisto in game but I'm pretty sure this one plays in his stage.
I don't think it plays the first times you fight him. It's only in the *last* fight against him, and only during phase 2. Knowing the background story behind that song, I legitimately tear up each time I hear it (and this time was no different) Q.Q
although Patriot chose his end, he wouldnt have done it if Yelena was still alive. Then he'd still have a reason to live instead of burying his wife, then his son and finally his daughter and her brothers and sisters.
You're actually right about Lullabye. The two came from an abusive orphanage, before Mephisto kinda murdered everyone and the two ran away. There is also a line in Arknights where it was hinted that Frostnova used to sing for them before Mephisto's psychopathic nature took over the once shy kid, hence why people say that the song was actually Frostnova singing.
@cianchua781 He wasn't. He was hated by his parents and the sole reason why he even has Oripathy in the first place. Faust, an orphan decided to stab himself with a shard as to not leave Mephisto alone and Infected. In the end, they stuck together, as two children, hated for all the crimes they've done, but never truly apart from each other...until...
@@morphayangze2737 hol' up, I recently revisited the story, Mephisto was forced to take in originium dust, and to comfort him Faust did the say representation of Faust never leaving Mephisto's side... I know that's what happened, right? it's even in the anime.
@@julz19 I assume the comment I responded to was deleted after I made my reply. But yes, I believe that is exactly what happened between the two orphans. A tragic tale between brothers not bound by blood...
I am so surprised that Radiant was NOT in this set....i fully expected Radiant or All Hail Savior to be in the reaction tbh (Still, what a wonderful set this was)
Some good songs id love to see you react to is Spark for Dream, A Cold Call, March on, Rock the night away, Autumn moods, Bridge to the dawn, Alive, Keep the Torch, All hail savior, Radiant, Thorns in you, Go my way, Sentenced.
Requiem is the best, once you learn more about Patriot the song gets even better. Patriot is nothing but a stubborn, old, dying bull, a hero who has lived for too long. That he became an enemy is unfortunate but it was inevitable despite having very similar ideals. Requiem and his relation to Frostnova shows there is still softness, warmth and humanity deep inside that moving ice block.
So each theme has an introduction blurb to go with it: Eternal Flame: Beneath the apse, voices sing prayer. The mass convenes, day's break is come. Has gunsmoke ever fallen ere from high? In lashing rain, the ash ignites anew. [Eternal Flame], now hark. The land trembles in your wake. Ständchen (Serenade): Like thorns buried underskin they prickle, murmurs meandering through his veins. These footfalls sounding fate in the curtain of night-are all but laments. Ein [Ständchen], to play this movement's coda. Towards Her Light: Faith hides low in morning light, and waits for mist to scatter 'part. A white sail bids so long to straying, rides for watchout's harbor heart. A gentle guide, a firm direction. Here, now, forth she sings and goes. [Towards Her Light], to light she sallies, sallies to the light she chose. And Yet it Wanes: Talk about the love, laugh about the bonds, [And Yet it Wanes]. Human life rarely goes how you wish. With wine for company, you're free to drift away. Bluish Light: That small canoe bore a finely shimmering dream. It was a [Bluish Light], a wisp of grand marine. Awaken: She embraces the reefs, together with the tide. [Awaken]. Mumbling in seabed dreamland, is she still aslumber? Undertopia: Across the alps and city walls, the cage door sways in gentle journ. Lingering voices softly chant: "Snowdrift, whither do you return?" (Fun fact: Not only is the title missing from this blurb, but the singer is also unknown.) Immutable: A faint wayfaring folksong, rocked about in the river of time. A wind which went in search of answers, long on a road sans idea of where it came. [Immutable]. That world under impassive inspection, still as same as ever. Lullabye: I arise from whispers of thee, In the first tranquil slumber. As the memories are burning low, And the pasts are shining pale, I chant with the [Lullabye] of thee. Alas. Long may the dreams shimmer. Requiem: The vision remains on the rust, the smoke and dust drift away. Let go of the languid thoughts and vigilance, go far away in delirium. [Requiem], stop in the flames of war, back to the early morning in the homeland. Listen, that's the somniloquy from childhood... Let's drain the cup.
My suggested character EPs for your next video: Radiant, Boiling Blood, Renegade - All excellent of telling you who the character is And for your Undertides itch (my favorite story within the universe too): Feels, I Believe in Us, Rapier
Can't believe no one mentioned Renegade!! The first song from Arknights that has been nominated for awards. I will recommend: Renegade, Go My Way, Y1K, Across The Wind, Keep The Torch, Real Me, Loyal To The Beat
Speaking of Hollywood Music Awards, Arknights first concert, Ambience Synesthesia in 2021 also nominated in Holywood Music in Media Awards in best live concert visual.
Really enjoy your reactions to these, that you are genuinely excited and loving the songs is great. Also adding another song to the list, "Rekindle" Siege's song.
Im so glad you started with eternal flame. That is easily in my top three but the visuals are also SO good. Its a peak representation of what you are about to venturing into.
Please don't miss these characters theme, since they do not have many spotlight than the other major theme songs but yet still good to hear. Keep the Torch (Pallas) Winter Absolution (Shining) A Little Adventure (Myrtle&Durin)
My recommendations: Rapier - Irene's Theme, she's Inquisitor from Iberia Voices - Abyssal Hunters' Theme, basically Aegir's genetically modified super solders tasked with killing sea monsters Spark For Dream - Goldenglow's Theme, she's based on Scottish Fold, her Arts is very unstable and she has hard time controling it, her dream is to become a hairdresser (the meme is that we waited 2 years for her to be released, after HG first teased her, so in the meantime people started calling her Pink Doggo, because everyone assumed she's a dog) Radiant - Nearl's Theme, obligatory since this songs slaps so hard, you actually already heard small part of it in the 3D animated teaser for Nearl Light event Bridge to the Dawn - First Pinus Sylvestris Theme, a knightclub for Infected in Kazimierz Confront - Rosmontis's Theme, she's a precious cinnamon roll that must be protecc, she was a victim of illegal human experimentations, turning her into walking nuclear weapon capable of destroying Nomadic Cities, but left her with fragmented mind in the process, she has memory issues, so she needs to write things down to not forget Alive - Song made by Alive Until Sunset (AUS), a fictional in-story band that you could pick as a background music in first summer event (Heart of The Surging Flame) and later their music act as soundtrack in event based around Gavial's hometown (The Great Chief Returns), the crocodile lady Renegade - W's Theme, she's a Sarkaz (basically Arknights' demons/devils) mercenary, she's a very complex character and I really hope they'll animated her sidestory as it's kinda important to understanding her role in main story
Lullabye will always be my absolute favourite Arknights EP, it made the goddamn Mephisto boss fight bearable. I fell in love with the EP from the very first lyric.
I'm probably most surprised that the authors spend so much effort on these musical themes, and most of them are not in the game, it's quite possible not to know about their existence.
One of the example why all of these songs are good and really well written is, even you who has not started playing the game yet can guess the story of the characters based on the songs, the emotion that it brought, and the lyrics. A lot of your guesses were right.
Oh man, I'm always hyped to see a new AK vid by you! :) As for Operator themes, I'd check out Thorns's Theme El Brillo Solitario, it's a really fun upbeat one, perfect to gap between more serious pieces!
That was some great choice of songs and watching the reactions is fun as always. I would love to talk about the content of the EPs themselves but I probably can't add much that hasn't been said already by others. But I do have to say that I am a little bit bummed out by the fact that there was no March On, especially because Towards Her Light was there. The two are like two sides of the same coin, similar yet completely different at the same time.
My personal Arknights EP recommendations: Alive - by Alive Until Sunset (an in universe rock band) Magic Theorem - Dorothy's Theme Loyal to the Beat - Emperor (The Penguin) Rap Battle Sentenced - Penance's Theme Stainless Heart - Stainless' Theme Spark For Dream - Goldenglow's Theme All Hail Savior! - Gavial's Theme Radiant - Nearl's Theme ManiFesto - From Ambience Synesthesia (look for the full version, the animated version is a bit short) Keep The Torch - Pallas' Theme Winter Absolution - Shining's Theme Tipsy - Mountain's Theme (Ya like Jazz?) Crystallize - Rosmontis Karaoke These are all in my music list, so imo its really good. Hopefully you enjoy them too
Regular Specter's weapon is indeed a pizza cutter. However, Specter Alter's weapon is just a wheel with spiky studs on it... not sure how to call that one.
Kal'tsit is the most mysterious character in Arknights. We not just not know her age, we can't even agree on a rough range, from 40 to 4000 everything is on the table. She could be a god or a normal human that has some special abilities through her infection. Nothing is clear about her character and every time she takes part in the story we get more questions than answers.
We do know a bit more than this, but that's obviously spoilers. All I will say is read Kaltsits module lore, go back and read OF-EX-6 story (specifically one of the last things that Alty says), and then go find a translation of Amiyas module lore. And then cry cause it still asks more questions than it answers :)
it was already revealed in her Module Operation Record that she's above 10k years and the process is reincarnation but unlike typical reincarnation, she has to relearn those memories when born young. It's just she noticed that she died early previously that she noticed there's something wrong with the world.
This video make me cry 😅 Great song for opening and great song for end. But I even thought I listened to most of this songs multiple times, they still hit damn hard. Especially if you know characters' backgrounds. And even more especially if you understand Russian in case last two songs, like me. Anyway, I enjoy your reactions. As always a stream of emotions to feel. As for playing game, I think that whichever emulator you choose to run the game is doesn't matter as long as you have not too old pc. Also I think I should warn you that get into it might be difficult. Not because of game's difficulty (it's very easy at start) but because there is a lot text, tutorials and information in general. People with too low attention span can't bear it for too long, but I think that you will be Ok. And there is no rush to anything, so you can take an any pace that you comfortable with to play. Thanks for video.
Randomly sumbled on this channel, Loved reaction to our seabornes :D Boy just if she knew backstories of characters, it could destroy her heart. AK is one of the most devastating emotionally games i have ever encountered :D
thank you!! AHH the seaborns are one of my favourites things in AK! Hopefully we get another seaborn story soon 😭😭 SN nearly finished me off it was so sad 😭
@@georgieegames Dunno if you have looked up more lore about seaborn, but it is worth looking up. The power level of Skadi is something else. Another "race" that has amazing story and insane power level are Feramunts. We learn about them, or it i guess from Dusk, Nian, Ling and Chongyue. In general the more you learn lore about characters the more insane some of them are.
Hey Georgiee, Did you notice that every Character EP song has a poem in the description of each of their EP songs!? really helps tie the feeling from the song and their backstories together.
since idk if anyone has recommended this yet.... I decided to do it since it's my favorite arknights character theme. So yh... i'm recommending "Sentenced" (Penance's char theme). It's my favorite because of the lyrics and deep meaning behind them as well as the music and how it has this twist at the end.
Because the character portayed there (penance) also has a relation to those lyrics in her theme song due to having a reference to the real life person that has the same surname as her in-game (her real surname - as penance is her codename which references another thing that has to do with the same person that her char ref).... to sumarize... a bunch of different references that links to the same real life historical person in one character.
Love that they use an instrumental Awaken in the Stultifera Navis animation but because it's a different like arrangement it's difficult to align the song to the visuals
Hey Georgie! I find it beautiful how you react to each of Arknights themes. You are not over reacting. It is just truthful and that is pointing out the beauty in every theme.
Undertopia is a Empowering song set to the tone and beat of a sad lovesong. Pozey the Operator its for has been hideing from the outside world amongst the Durin (Dwarves) in there undergrown city after a upheaval in her home country took everything from her. the song is basicly telling her that she's healed and grown past her trauma but is reluctant to leave this safe Undertopia
You'd be hard-pressed to find an IP with such musical diversity tied to a single game like Arknights. It's refreshing and there's a song for everyone under the sun lol.
In the name of god the most merciful Hello To be honest, I disagree with some game fans who say that Hypergraph is a music company, not a game, even as a joke! I'm an experienced gamer and I've played a lot of Gacha games, but I've never seen so much love and passion from game developers for a mobile game like this You can see that all the outfits and skins in this game are made by real designers and in their own in game name. Any music that is made for a part of the game is made for a specific operator and other musics and animations and art styles are clearly in the service of the game. The gameplay is all about respecting the player. Both in the way that the game doesn't delay you to recharge your stamina(Stamina charge not have limtations) and that it doesn't bother you with the third layer of items (items that have a certain percentage of a certain percentage of drop rate). And such items do not exist externally (such as artifacts in Geshin Impact). Arknights game is many like Bloodborne game on PlayStation console. And this is the main reason that cause this game has fewer players compared to Genshin Impact and others.Arnights and Bloodborne are not a casual game.Arknights invite u to challenges and you have to practice for stages and bosses again and again. Exactly what makes us fall in love with Bloodborne. The environment and theme of the game is dark and not made for everyone! Not everyone can enjoy the challenge. Of course, some players of arknights say that we don't have time for practice and challenge, and we want to finish the stage in one hand just by watching the video from yourube and the guidance of others. these players are the ones who don't understand the depth of the game and say that this company is a music company(at least plse dont analysis game). While devlopers sacrificed everything for the game. When I played the new Is2 Arknights mode, I was reminded of the bloodborne dungeons! It was as if I was playing Bloodborne! This level of elegance and beauty has never existed in other gacha games such Ganshin Impact. in Genshin instead, despite the creations like Paimon in Ganshin, it feels like the game is for the age group of ten to fifteen years old! But because of the casualness of the game, the audience of the game is more. Just like Bloodborne has its own audience on the console, and a game like GTA has hundreds of times more audience! Arknights with this depth is revolutionary in Gatcha. The low number of players in this game compared to some other games shuld never mislead you! You have more than 250 operators with different skills that you can deploy ten at the same time. This is also a record. I always had a clichéd feeling about the story of Gacha games and the truth is that it was normal, but when this volume of the depth of the game is played in the background music, the graphics (playing at the highest graphics on average phones without any problems) I came to the conclusion that the creators who put so much love into the work must have paid special attention to the story, and I read more and saw that most of the story of Arcknights and Lore is in the shadows, and again, like Bloodborne, which has no narrative method is special, To understand the story of Arknights, u should to know the operators, go to the side missions, even pay attention to the music of the characters and animations, so that the clues of the story will become familiar to you. I saw many people, when they see a trailer of Arknights on RUclips, they say at the end, what was going on here? I did not understand at all what happened? This is exactly what we call depth and art of games. and respect for established players. The trailer invites you to read Lor and those who have not read it will not understand. Just like Bloodborne, you have to look everywhere from the statues to the papers in the corner of the game and the few cutscenes of the game in order to understand things! Thats not come in one go! every time u undetstand somthing new! Pure art! the detals are important .wich couse Games in holl become deepest and them most complete face of art. u discovered things during gameply with ur own will. The reason why I came to the gaming and I consider it the deepest aspect of art! and now arknights did it very well. You can't ignore the Developers of arknights love for their game, where they sacrificed everything, even making more money, to inject real love and art into their players. They could have gone the other way, they could not make this amount of music in the name of a mobile game, they could have done many things that would disrupt the framework of the game and make the game easier, but not only they do not go this way, but the game is more challeging with with new mods and new updates and mechanics. It will be more challenging! I got to know the creators of the game there, I wrote 5 different points in five different surveys to them and ask them, and all five points were solved or added to the game! I say with certainty that I have never seen such attention and love for the gamers in any other game. Now, does all this mean that the game is okay? Nothing in this world is ever 100%. But if you don't like games like Bloodborne and Challengeing don't come to this game or at least don't provide an analysis! One of the points that bothered me was the childishness of some characters. For example, Amiya, the main character, and the way she talks to us were uncomfortable for me at first, but when I saw the animation of Arknights and saw the level of honesty, purity and simplicity of Amiya in a world full of hypocrisy and lies, this is where I felt a little different from Bloodborne was created, but then i think it was not bad at all because we all went through that time age, when if we made a mistake, it was not on purpose, but it was just an emotional reaction. Its simplicity. Her beauty is not in her eyes or ears or her face. What makes Amiya lovly is her love and kindness for everyone. It doesn't matter if person is her enemy or her friend.she always wanna help them. Now I was thinking that if Amiya was an adult (adults at age who makes war in real world and evey badthing came from them) and had such purpose bad actions, I would never have accepted her as honst speaker! and it was more like the false images of Hollywood movies that saw frequntly from the real world! Arknights animation solved this problem for me! Although I still had a little trouble with the discussion of the animal's tail, horns, and ears, now, for whatever reason, I think it is far from human dignity. But this is due to the fact that the creators made such an effort to create such a work and spent all their art for the game. Sorry for my bad english i am not nattive.

I'd like to give personal recommendations for Spark for Dream and Radiant, but almost anything you find is going to be fantastic. I've been listening to Standchen for a week or two on loop, and an honorable mention goes to Wlfmstr and Martyr, despite being boss themes and not character themes.
Also, you seemed to really enjoy Awakening, and Specter as a character. She is, by far, one of my favorites. The night and day difference between her standard form and when she's "awake", and -lucid-? Is absolutely fantastic. I don't want to spoil anything, but her and the operators associated with her take up a total of like four of my top five favorite characters in-game. They're amazing. Can't recommend the Abyssal Hunters enough. They all get passives that synergize together, too, so there's incentive to use them all as a team, and it's just great.
Absolutely still loving this video. And the requiem one was absolute best to finish this video. I'm a straight guy but oh man the voice of the vocalist gets me hard. Such a beautiful voice
Pozyomka the pink haired wolf in 32:00 was a noble flom ursus until her parents were assassinated, now she lives in one of the underground cities of the durin aka "ideal city" a touristic spot
Your guess was right. Faust and Mephisto are very closely related to each other And to FrostNova, who's actually the one who sings Lullabye (in lore at least, since the children couldn't go to sleep without her singing that to them) I'd love to wax lyrical about them plus Patriot, but saying more will end up in experience-ruining spoilers so, yeah. Hope to see more about arknights' EP! Every single of them is a banger in their own ways
This is a giant list of everything I definitely recommend and you haven’t check out. I paired the name of the EP with the character names. Renegade - W El Brillo Solitario - Thorns Stay Gold - Blemishine Tipsy - Mountain Self-observation - Saga Real Me - Carnelian Keep the Torch - Pallas Across the Wind - Chen the Holungday Radiant - Nearl the Radiant Knight Spark For Dream - Goldenglow March On - Horn Rhythm in Literature - Playwright Magic Theorem - Dorothy Ensheath - Młynar Stainless Heart - Stainless Rekindle - Siege Sentenced - Penance Most AK EPs are absolute bangers and you will like them. Enjoy!
The ones i love are "Cold Call" from Mostima/Executor/Cantabe i play in loop for hours, "All hail Savior" from F**king Gavial the strongest healer of Rodes Island, "Magic Theorem" from Dorothy, no coments... "March on" from Horn, she is from the same place of Saileach, but you see the other side with this music, "Radiant" from Nearl, she is just amazing in all aspects, "Evolutionary Mechanization" from Eunectes, one of my favorites underrated tanks, "El Brillo Solitario" from Thorns, just Thorns.
The first time I heard the intro I wasn't watching Towards Her Light and I thought my RUclips auto play changed my video into a Disney video and I had to rush to check what was the song called... TO MY SURPRISE IT WAS ARKNIGHTS!!
One thing I especially love about Saileach's theme is just how much of her story (so far) is referenced in it. Kinda spoilers, but I've left out the details ofc. It speaks to her roots as a blue blood Victorian, her pride in the country she wishes to protect, while also referencing the events of the story where she discovers just how dark the shadows of her homeland are. There are heavy irish themes, because her introduction is set in essentially whats Ireland to this games England...and the events that spark a cival war between them. She's torn between the people that she loves and her desition to leave the Victorian army and join Rhode Island is a heavy one. But she still wants what she feels is best for her homeland and would do anything to make it peaceful. Her name, Saileach, being of Irish origin is no doubt meant to reference her roots in that conflict and how she will never forget what happened.
U love Phantom of the opera huh👀 There is a roguelike event in AK having Phantom as the protagonist. He is straight up Phantom of the opera reference, his cat's name is also Miss Christine
I think 'Towards her light' is one of my favorite songs they have. The energy and true belief in her nation rings so clear and it strikes just right for me. I will never get tired of listening to that track, and I will rarely feel more welcome than I feel like I would in Victoria. Too bad it's a fictional place. Edit: both it and Awaken both have.. weirdly Disney vibes.
I recommend some EPs composed by DJ Okawari such as Speed of Light, Everything's Alright and Your Star. Not much of a character song but just good songs to vibe with.
Playing on PC is alot more stable than some other games like PGR, however I do recommend at first playing on your own time maybe chapter 0 as it's mostly tutorials and doing a recap them. If you want to continue playing the game from there streams from chapter 1 onward would be good :). This is just because the earlier chapters are not very complicated gameplay wise, but back seaters are everywhere.
Hi, new subscriber here! Randomly stumbled upon the channel and it's always a pleasure to watch Arknights reactions, yours now included. I will watch your other videos when I can, but for the next video i would like to recommend Radiant, Spark for Dream and "Flame Shadow" for the EPs. The last one is not available on the Arknights official playlist because it's only out in CN yet, so you can find it on "Kazdel VN" channel. Hope you'll start the game eventually :)
If you like Phantom of the Opera, there's a character which is a reference to it named Phantom. He has 2 EPs called Curtain Call and Rhythm in Literature and a whole album of music that revolves around his theme in a roguelike game-mode of the game and one of those that I recommend is called Phantom Castle.
"Patriot was the wendigo kind character and patriot was the one with the white hair and two feathers on her head using ice" First patriot not bad but the 2nd made me laugh XD mfg Olli
I'm sure you've already noticed, newest honkai animated short was just released, can't wait your reaction to that one. I'm also very interested to seeing you future content besides honkai she Arknights. Edit: requiem song made me cry. My late friend introduced me to the poet of that "song" her poems are amazing. They give you a great view not just to the Russian soul but to the Slavic soul as well, both which are hard to describe.
Each character have a true name and a codename. A lot of them, their true names are known, still they are called by their codenames both in gameplay and in those videos' titles.
I could tell you the true names of those that are referenced in those music if you wish.
Now for extra trivia :
Eternal Flame : You did guess right, Fiammetta is a Liberi, so a bird person, specifically a phenix.
What I can say is she's currently with Skadi (an orca inspired Aegir) and Gladiia (A swordfish inspired Aegir)
All three are tightly related to the cataclysm I mentioned earlier.
Guess I dont have to say anything in this comment section XD
Leithanian isn't Eastern Europe, never even heard that anywhere, it is clearly German or Austrian (or both), or, depending on the time period, simply Prussia.
About pozy: She is a noble from Ursus but when she was young her entire family was killed and she just barelly managed to escape and kept running until she stumbled upon an elevator that led to an underground durin city in Sargon where she decided to live bc the durin practically never resorted to violence which to her made that place look like paradise compared to the surface full of conflict
@@zomfgroflmao1337 Austro-hungarian is what I meant
Just one note on lullaby: since you already know frostnova is associated in some way with Mephisto and Faust, it is a lullaby she would sing to them.

11:00 yes, he did loose someone very close to him his event Lingering Echoes is one of the most tragic side story events.
First time I heard Awaken, I did a little digging on a hunch, and yep - the singer has done the vocals for Ariel in a live Little Mermaid performance.
IS IT STILL A SIN IF I LET THEM IN AS THEY SAIL TO CALMER TIDES ?!!! 🗣🗣🗣🗣🗣🗣‼‼‼‼‼‼
------------------
Mephisto is from Ursus (in-game version of Russia, thus the song's language).
========↓ In-Game spoilers ↓========
During the game's story, and our fights, we eventually defeat both of them.
Not saying it makes anything better, but it does add some context to how bad things were at that time.
mucho texto
@@SigmentKurosai i mean he was literally a child when he went through such unimaginable and continuous trauma. not saying what the ursus kids went through was okay, but i honestly can't see how anyone would turn out to be normal after going through all of what he went through.

Eternal Flames. Perfect song to kick things off. So much emotion and anguish pouring out from that song. So many good songs but that song really, really stood out to me the most.
Same, that's probably the one I have played the most in my playlist.
Special place for Lullaby in my heart too, for being the first music with actual lyrics during combat.
You’ve barely even scratched the surface of character EPs and I genuinely hope you continue to enjoy them! MSR pumps out bangers like no tomorrow.
Can't wait for Gaviel alter theme reaction(regular character is a healer, but alter version is when she took chainsaw and axe and became attacker unit)
Well there is a reason why they are called harmacists like half the damn medic operators deal more damage than some attack units
Still bringing my suggestions for following EPs to listen to, hopefully in Part 2 :)

- Radiant
- March On
- All Hail Savior
- Keep The Torch

She's left behind", and "But she's flying blind" really shows their true meaning once we learn Kal'tsit's secret behind her millenia of history
and also with what happened at chapter 11 👀
I like how It’s also connected to running In the dark
37:25 I absolutely love Kal'tsit and her theme. Come to think of it (at least before founding Rhodes Island) she's kind of the Gandalf of Arknights. We don't really know who or what she is, but we do know that she's been playing 4d chess with every country on Terra, constantly moving from place to place saving the world from multiple apocalyptic scenarioes. And even with all of those burdens weighing on her, she will drop all she's doing just to treat some random person in a remote village who got infected and who she will never see again.
towards her light still makes me teary eyed 🥲
its such a beautiful and comforting song
Lee {Yet it Wanes} owns a detective agency, loves tea and is a great cook.
The kids in Lullabye are Mephisto and Faust... I'm pretty sure they showed up in anime's season 1.
It's been a while since I last fought Mephisto in game but I'm pretty sure this one plays in his stage.
I don't think it plays the first times you fight him. It's only in the *last* fight against him, and only during phase 2.
Knowing the background story behind that song, I legitimately tear up each time I hear it (and this time was no different) Q.Q
@@RyushiroK I might have forgotten you fight him before bird stage...

Seeing Patriot and Frostnova makes me want to have them from their tragic fate so much
We never know, there are even gods in Terra.
although Patriot chose his end, he wouldnt have done it if Yelena was still alive.
Mephisto isn't from an orphanage, the one where he murdered everyone is his own family.
@@Enttoma hol up, I could've sworn he was from the same orphanage as Faust.

So each theme has an introduction blurb to go with it:
Eternal Flame: Beneath the apse, voices sing prayer.
Lingering voices softly chant: "Snowdrift, whither do you return?"
(Fun fact: Not only is the title missing from this blurb, but the singer is also unknown.)
Immutable: A faint wayfaring folksong, rocked about in the river of time.
A wind which went in search of answers, long on a road sans idea of where it came.
[Immutable]. That world under impassive inspection, still as same as ever.
Lullabye: I arise from whispers of thee,
In the first tranquil slumber.
As the memories are burning low,
And the pasts are shining pale,
I chant with the [Lullabye] of thee.

My recommendations:
Rapier - Irene's Theme, she's Inquisitor from Iberia
Voices - Abyssal Hunters' Theme, basically Aegir's genetically modified super solders tasked with killing sea monsters
Spark For Dream - Goldenglow's Theme, she's based on Scottish Fold, her Arts is very unstable and she has hard time controling it, her dream is to become a hairdresser (the meme is that we waited 2 years for her to be released, after HG first teased her, so in the meantime people started calling her Pink Doggo, because everyone assumed she's a dog)
Radiant - Nearl's Theme, obligatory since this songs slaps so hard, you actually already heard small part of it in the 3D animated teaser for Nearl Light event
Bridge to the Dawn - First Pinus Sylvestris Theme, a knightclub for Infected in Kazimierz
Confront - Rosmontis's Theme, she's a precious cinnamon roll that must be protecc, she was a victim of illegal human experimentations, turning her into walking nuclear weapon capable of destroying Nomadic Cities, but left her with fragmented mind in the process, she has memory issues, so she needs to write things down to not forget
Alive - Song made by Alive Until Sunset (AUS), a fictional in-story band that you could pick as a background music in first summer event (Heart of The Surging Flame) and later their music act as soundtrack in event based around Gavial's hometown (The Great Chief Returns), the crocodile lady
Renegade - W's Theme, she's a Sarkaz (basically Arknights' demons/devils) mercenary, she's a very complex character and I really hope they'll animated her sidestory as it's kinda important to understanding her role in main story
Great reaction and analizys! My fav from this part is def Bluish Light. Waiting for next part (:
Lullabye will always be my absolute favourite Arknights EP, it made the goddamn Mephisto boss fight bearable.
I fell in love with the EP from the very first lyric.
Aside from Operator themes, there are other EPs that are worth watching like "Alive" by Alive Until Sunset, or Skadi's "Hunter's Song".
Recomended to Watch :
Arknights Ambience Synesthesia 2021 & 2022
These are Arknights Consert Musics.
A lot of your guesses were right.
wow you put so much angst in one video, looking forward to the next part
i had NO idea how angsty they would be 🤣 hopefully the next part can be a bit happier xD
My personal Arknights EP recommendations:
Alive - by Alive Until Sunset (an in universe rock band)
Magic Theorem - Dorothy's Theme
Loyal to the Beat - Emperor (The Penguin) Rap Battle
Sentenced - Penance's Theme
Stainless Heart - Stainless' Theme
Spark For Dream - Goldenglow's Theme
All Hail Savior! - Gavial's Theme
Radiant - Nearl's Theme
ManiFesto - From Ambience Synesthesia (look for the full version, the animated version is a bit short)
Keep The Torch - Pallas' Theme
Winter Absolution - Shining's Theme
Tipsy - Mountain's Theme (Ya like Jazz?)
Crystallize - Rosmontis Karaoke
These are all in my music list, so imo its really good. Hopefully you enjoy them too
Ständchen is up there in my Top 3 Character themes, along with Lullabye. They're just too good.
26:30 pizza cutter, giant pizza cutter
Regular Specter's weapon is indeed a pizza cutter.
However, Specter Alter's weapon is just a wheel with spiky studs on it... not sure how to call that one.
Keep the torch (Pallas' theme), Daydaydream and Renegade (W's theme) are must watches imo!
She's above 10k years old, and the more surprising Dokutah also old...
it was already revealed in her Module Operation Record that she's above 10k years and the process is reincarnation but unlike typical reincarnation, she has to relearn those memories when born young. It's just she noticed that she died early previously that she noticed there's something wrong with the world.
@@mloepostle62 Already revealed in something that is not even on global yet... maybe next time keep your spoilers out of open discussions?
Specter's insanity really shines through in Awaken, I love it.
This video make me cry 😅
Great song for opening and great song for end.
If you need a break from the angsty and sad songs, i recommend the DJ Okawari trilogy: Speed of Light, Everything's Alright, and Your Star
Amazing reaction video as always! And since you've mentioned you love Phantom of the Opera, 'Rhythm in Literature' will totally be your thing
since idk if anyone has recommended this yet....
I think you need to check out Arknights Ambience Synthesia if you love musical show and stuff. The Concert was amazing for people who like that stuff.
In the name of god the most merciful
Hello
To be honest, I disagree with some game fans who say that Hypergraph is a music company, not a game, even as a joke! I'm an experienced gamer and I've played a lot of Gacha games, but I've never seen so much love and passion from game developers for a mobile game like this
You can see that all the outfits and skins in this game are made by real designers and in their own in game name.
Yeah man.
tnx for saying that.
i also play hokai genshin and others but the only one i play for more than 2 year is Arknights!
its Really like BloodBorne and have speciall players!
Dmn u. Hell yeah!
u explain it very good! i also love both blood and Arknights other gatchas are far behind!
ty dude! ty
Bro You mention something others cant see
my recomandetion:
Rhytm of literatune
Lingering Eches Boss Battle theme 2.
Hunters song.
ideal city Boss battle theme.
Hellagure Opreator theme( name is on russian)
Meditation de Thais
Faust and Mephisto are very closely related to each other And to FrostNova, who's actually the one who sings Lullabye (in lore at least, since the children couldn't go to sleep without her singing that to them)
I'd love to wax lyrical about them plus Patriot, but saying more will end up in experience-ruining spoilers so, yeah. Hope to see more about arknights' EP! Every single of them is a banger in their own ways
Listening to Arknights music is like feeling all our gacha money well spent
So next time is Radiant, Real me, Savior and Ensheath, given that the choice was more on the slow side this time.
Hi hi, great video I enjoyed a lot!
Since you were asking, one of my favorite musical is Repo! The Genetic Opera
Keep up the great work
"I feel angst incoming" oh boy if only you read his event story, its pure despair.
31:49 you actually did it almost perfectly, can say it as a russian. ё sound is hard to say for foreigners in general.
my recommendation for part 2:
-Radiant
-Spark for Dream
-Across the Wind
-Till the Wave Ends
-Daydaydream
This is a giant list of everything I definitely recommend and you haven’t check out. I paired the name of the EP with the character names.
Renegade - W
El Brillo Solitario - Thorns
Stay Gold - Blemishine
Tipsy - Mountain
Self-observation - Saga
Real Me - Carnelian
Keep the Torch - Pallas
Across the Wind - Chen the Holungday
Radiant - Nearl the Radiant Knight
Spark For Dream - Goldenglow
March On - Horn
Rhythm in Literature - Playwright
Magic Theorem - Dorothy
Ensheath - Młynar
Stainless Heart - Stainless
Rekindle - Siege
Sentenced - Penance
Most AK EPs are absolute bangers and you will like them. Enjoy!
The ones i love are
"Cold Call" from Mostima/Executor/Cantabe i play in loop for hours,
"All hail Savior" from F**king Gavial the strongest healer of Rodes Island,
"Magic Theorem" from Dorothy, no coments...
"March on" from Horn, she is from the same place of Saileach, but you see the other side with this music,
"Radiant" from Nearl, she is just amazing in all aspects,
"Evolutionary Mechanization" from Eunectes, one of my favorites underrated tanks,
"El Brillo Solitario" from Thorns, just Thorns.
The first time I heard the intro I wasn't watching Towards Her Light and I thought my RUclips auto play changed my video into a Disney video and I had to rush to check what was the song called... TO MY SURPRISE IT WAS ARKNIGHTS!!
I hope you hearing the Japanese Ver of Lullabye that being sang by Frostnova in the animation, that absolutely stunned everyone!!!! ❤
7:56 the event story for this character is super sad it made me cry a lot 😭😭
Been waiting for this
CC theme song next
22:30 avarage free character arknights song
U love Phantom of the opera huh👀
There is a roguelike event in AK having Phantom as the protagonist.
Not much of a character song but just good songs to vibe with.
i would recommend:
- radiant
- spark for dream
- i believe in us
- renegade
- boiling blood
- alive
- field in light
if that is even relevant
I think DJ Okawari's stuffs like speed of light is copyrighted
@@aruaru426 is it? Did not know...
Sasuga music company, awake it's just so beautiful ☝🏻🧐
Hi, new subscriber here! Randomly stumbled upon the channel and it's always a pleasure to watch Arknights reactions, yours now included.
I will watch your other videos when I can, but for the next video i would like to recommend Radiant, Spark for Dream and "Flame Shadow" for the EPs. The last one is not available on the Arknights official playlist because it's only out in CN yet, so you can find it on "Kazdel VN" channel.
Hope you'll start the game eventually :)
49:55 Спасибо) From Russia with love)
btw that genre u called rock opera is close but its opera metal. and its soooo good of a genre
bro... I've been sleeping on these theme songs wtf 💀
I wish I discovered this sooner, I would've been listening to these on a daily basis.
The flute in ständchen reminds me of Bonnie's Lullaby but more slower
If you like Phantom of the Opera, there's a character which is a reference to it named Phantom. He has 2 EPs called Curtain Call and Rhythm in Literature and a whole album of music that revolves around his theme in a roguelike game-mode of the game and one of those that I recommend is called Phantom Castle.
Golden age will return again
I would love it if you were to react to the EP "Confront", I think its one of the lesser suggested ones but I love it!
"Patriot was the wendigo kind character and patriot was the one with the white hair and two feathers on her head using ice"
First patriot not bad but the 2nd made me laugh XD

My favorite Musical is Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog.
I'd recommend:
Silver Lining - SilverAsh theme
Renegade - W theme
Crystallize - Cute Rosmontis song
Heal the World - Gnosis theme
Boiling Blood - Blaze theme
Y1K - Mizuki theme
Across the Wind - Ch'en
Everything's Alright
Speed of Light
I’d highly recommend checking out the Lee detective agency show it’s a series of shorts about Lee and his little group work for his agency
Btw, song name is Lullabye and it is... really a Lullabye, very specific genre...
